the blank firing guns were tossed around quite a bit during the luke han leia detention block scene. in several situations the guns all get passed around. in fact in the photos above the scopes are all m19's
-
the rail is 3/4" wide and the rear foot on an m38 aligns with the folding stock hinge. for an m19 scope the rear foot is aligned just a 1/4" farther back than the hinge. han is holding an m19 scope version while luke and leia also have the m19 edited for scope correction. you can also see the small section of T Track on the top of the scope.

The start of my AP armor ( Helmet ) ..

nice one! ear gaps at the rear and all! the hand painting didn't turn out bad at all... sweet. -
Well troopers it's time to look closely at the inner workings of the folding stock. far different than what you might expect when looking at plans and such on the web. this complex part alone, before I owned it, was very detailed. now what I have read about, in some descriptions I knew it had somthing inside it that was missing from all the "replica" parts out there. making your own functioning folding stock that locks into it's positions could be done, but without having the part in it's original form makes it a job of guesswork. nowhere have I seen accurate plans for this. the locking pins that fit into the rear cap/d ring mount. detail showing pin locations, bend guide and pin mount for stock bar. detail showing stock front lock slider. shoulder cap slightly out of it's detent lock. the detents match grooves in the bar. another shot showing shoulder cap hinged and detent grooves shows bottom of stock bar, with holes and a curved area in the mid point between two holes detail showing stock bar floating. this assembly locks into the spring plate and cutouts on shouldercap detail showing locking springplate locking springplate with guides for stock bar. bar about to click into shouldercap 1 bar about to click into shouldercap 2 bar clicked into shouldercap another angle of springplate stock in open locked position detail of sliding front lock detail showing plunger hinge sliding front lock front lock sliding 1 front lock sliding 2 front lock sliding 3

Looking for the Right Molding Ingrediants
TK bondservnt replied to Vantora's topic in The Foundry - Armor and Prop Making
if you are making a forming buck for vac forming you should consider making a base form out of wood, then cover that with heat resistant formulas for the surface of the forming tool. aluminized and steel powders added to the resin mix and smoothed with acetone, finally sanding and filling to finish up. -

hello steve... money is a problem in this hobby. we don't support low cost costumes in the 501st legion. if your goal is to represent the 501st and participate in an advanced community of costumers then you've come to the right place. there are lot's of factors to consider. please look at this forum thread for more informaiton http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/

solo and fett movies will center on the lifespan of the character... not a single story... my 2 cents. I'm with matt... there's just no way the story is strong enough for harrison to narrate his character with the introduction of his younger self... I am sick to death of the common trend in entertainment 1 cop show 2 medical cop show 3 retro remake cop show 4 zombie movies (in general) 5 fast zombie shows 6 vampire shows 7 vampire movies 8 gun violence (he's a badass) I am sick of all of the above forms of entertainment. no original storytelling? action movies and television just don't carry my attention. I don't have a short attention span that requires explosions gunshots and fancy medical 3d graphics to keep my interest. I want more... I want real storytelling. backstory, and character development is what drama is about. it's not about being so fast paced that your head spins. it has to be RICH... and powerful... all without being pretense. no wooden actors please! here's a pitch for you: zombie cop show where the zombie is a former cop and befrends a vampire cop they work together to kill serial killers and put criminals behind bars. opening pilot : they capture a corrupt politician and put him behind bars. during a critical scene we have torture segments a la' SAW the politician confesses. segments with the necromancer and satanic rituals to bring zombies to life. include a dog in the show with supernatural powers. ROTT and VLAD on CBS this fall ! look for it!

you have to be careful with paint thinners that have solvents in them... it can melt the plastic. you can wetsand the paint off slightly with 1200 grit, then polish the area with novus 3 then 2 then you can wash with dish soap and water. after dry, paint again by drawing with a pencil until you get the lines the way you want them. use a round modeling brush to finish it off. satin or flat black works best for me.

CRL belt requirements ?
TK bondservnt replied to DudeSidious's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
the CRL is the library we need to fix it! the research should be pointed out IN the freakin' CRL! that's what it is FOR! why do we have such reluctance to balance out the CRL? -
Request - How-to or Tips for E6000 gluing
TK bondservnt replied to jeebus68's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
first and foremost you should wipe off excess glue. second thicker sections of glue requires up to 48 hours to fully cure. usually thinner applications take 24 hours 12 hour cure times can be used on non stress parts in warm environments. third if e6000 comes in contact with metals and plastic, such as a snap plate, then it will generate heat during cure just like epoxy. e6000 actually does get hot under clamping pressure. the entire process of glue and armor is that you have to use the correct amount of pressure applied to all parts evenly. what you get when you clamp is what you'll get when you release the clamps. -
