Possible screen match of RS Propmasters helmet?
TK bondservnt replied to bpoodoo's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
the RS helmet is also in every scene where large groups of troopers are shown. in the tantive hallway he is clearly in the scene, since his holster is rare in shape and design. -

see how tight fitting armor is on people the right size? how your body is shaped determines this look! -
To anyone who's had a suit built for them
TK bondservnt replied to dknight22's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
building armor is simple if you've built 10 or more. measurements and photos from the side front and back wearing the undersuit are critical to determining the shape of a person's body is important to look good. and a builder always has challenges most builders like me get it right after a few things belts or strapping lengths usually are all that's needed to change. -
if you look really close at the scene the scope is real. on the photos of the blaster where they escort leia to confront vader. the counter wire on the left is the red insulation on the back of the power cells. the wires are not curly, and they mount below the pins on the counter with a bright blob of solder. I personally believe that it's T Track. what else? sure it 'could be' sprue... but it too falls off, during the film, like the power cells and the counter all fall off. since the tantive scenes were filmed last, perhaps this blaster has actually had stuff put back on, and that's why the wires were not curly? remember the scene order of filming, the control room scenes were shot before the tantive scenes. the DS corridor scenes were filmed even before the tantive scenes. the tantive scenes were shot last minute by 2 separate crews, on set with several scenes being worked on at the same time on the tantive set. if we cross referance every muzzle flash blaster in the film we might be able to see a series of marks put on by the armorers. I have been working on a list of marks. and this m19 with the mark on top, and the silver dot painted on the rear sight might be a signature for a firing sterling. after all, the key player is going to have the best blaster on set.

Putting on leg armor/boots?
TK bondservnt replied to Grimez's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
My thighs are velcro in back. so it's much easier to wear them. I have my boots on when suiting up undersuit, boots and neckseal on first then armor. -

Albuquerque Storm Trooper Helmet Mold
TK bondservnt replied to Elumusic's topic in The Foundry - Armor and Prop Making
have you ever compared them to a real helmet for size and shape? they look very original. I am seeing scale and shape differences. very interesting work. could you ship me one so I can measure it. then I'd return it. I want to document it compared to AP and ATA and TM. a photo line up, if you will. can you add the chinstraps and foam liners... it's what makes them. -
Full resin E-11 from DoopyDoo's with some modifications
TK bondservnt replied to T-Jay's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
yes. the doopy do replicates 2 styles of blaster. 1. block of wood style. 2 incorrectly cast clip end w/ graphic removed, would replicate a resin cast clip. the missing clip lock is the indicator of the incorrectly cut clip end. which we'll call the divot clip. adding steve gaza's magazine corrects the errors from cutting the clip for a non firing replica. making any doopy do with an extended bolt and correct magazine, into a correct candidate for replicating a blank firing muzzle flash, shell ejecting e-11 types of e-11 used in STAR WARS ANH / ESB 1 resin cast solid gun esb, seen with added greeblies sight rail and resin m19 block of wood or divot cut 2 rubber cast basic e-11, no cells, or counter, divot cut mag. 3 bapty demil, aluminum billet at rear. solid rear, trigger group, grips all replaced with aluminum copies. no bolt, spring or trigger. no screws at muzzle. divot clip. 4 actual firing sterling, w/blanks. thin rail, m19. no counter or cells. has silver dot on rear sight pivot as a marker. ROTJ 5 MGC canadian C-1 sterling variant. 2 sights added, scope combined from scope cut down parts and greeblies. gun hammers and a door lock w C shaped grips. 6 Rubber cast versions of ROTJ blasters. -
helmet eyes have flashing at the top. they should not always be fully trimmed forearm cover strips follow the angles at the elbow. you can cut the kidney notch, and it won't affect the look, since the belt covers that.

coded message for holonet attachments found message 1 Many long years have gone by, almost 40 by now. long exile has taken it's toll. I'm sending this holonet message in hopes that my son will eventually be able to find out more about the father that never had a chance to be with his son. War it seems, even in this relative peacetime continues to keep most of us branded as war criminals. so my dear son I will try to tell you why you must not join the academy. attachment 1 Trooper Korps historical record row 2 section 3 batch 92 kamino replication series findings for 2392. progress: The 2392 Trooper korps experiment codename: Sunspot Holocron entry from senior kamino project manager dated 19:2:34GRS "After some careful consideration, I have been in talks with our senior members, and the Dean of instruction at carida. The original donor a human male from capital city on coruscant. Born a slave, named simply 'Bond' After his graduation at cliffside, survival of the trials, comander school, we have found a suitable pattern for a more dominant trooper. We have found midichlorian counts above the mid line. Command central has ordered commander 2392 to tipoca city, kamino for pattern development." It's in your blood too son! you must be at least 10 years old now? let me start from the most important part of the story ok? when I was young, like you must be soon. I was taken from my job, and home at 16. We had to lie about our age, me and a few of us who had decided to join the galactic academy. I had my eyes transplanted, and my id falsified, and my birth records were changed over in a single week. how did I do it? I had found several crystals lodged in the landing strut on a t61. they proved to be worth so much I had to keep them hidden and only sell flakes off of them. there are still several of them left. if we could ever get back on planet. I was taken in to the academy after leaving the nutrition factory, they never found out who started the fire, or the names of the ones lost. they assumed it was me, and I took advantage of that. Call it luck., if you want to, but there's no such thing as luck. I had even had a chance to fly the t61 around after the foreman of the factory took a liking to me. He let me get away with things that usually would earn you some bloodstripes. I went to Carida, determined to earn my way. The massive nature on this planet was the strange part for me, so much dust in the air. Quickly I learned that the loyalty they were talking about was life and death, where we as "brothers" were pitted against each other, in training, and even real combat. We were set against each other to the death. Unquestioned Loyalty to the Emperor, and to the Empire. Burning away the lives of clones through the fire of mortal combat. they knew there was some difference in me. Tried to hide it. I had heard about that strange religion from the old republic. And my first reaction was: yes. somehow I know all about this! Inside me, waiting to be awakened. I tried to ignore, and I tried to push it all away! little did I know, son, how important it would become. During the basic training, there was much talk of new things coming in from command. We heard of a whole new wave of kit was soon to be released. from the navy, army and even from correllia shipworks. We still bore the grunt uniform, and wore our colors with pride. The old guard brothers, from the fett clan, were much different from us citizen academy members. Other Worlders, were being trained alongside us. Non humans, and "new blood" troopers were here on carida, from all across the galaxy, even from outer rim territories. none of them had what I did. message 2 I was sitting here and reading my story, and thinking to myself, I wonder what your mother must be doing these days? Since I know I can never really contact you, I wanted you to know why I'm against you joining the military. After all. I'm a stormtrooper? right? and you know that, because the state made sure and gave you the distinction of being a veteran's son. I'm sure that if the government could pardon me, I might be able to watch you build a starship. or feed thousands of hungry people. but I wanted to get back to why you should not join religions! or politics! After I graduated from the academy, and then graduated, (read survived) Stormtrooper Corps training. They actually put me in charge. I had men to rule, and missions to accomplish. Just a man, not a clone, leading fett clones, on planets across the whole system. Then, I met the whole leader of the galaxy, and I met a man half machine, half man. My Lord. I was asked to appear before Vader and master Emperor at that time. At a meeting with me alone, in a place I don't even know. I stood before the most 2 powerful men known in the galaxy at that time. I had been chosen for a special mission, and I was given the option to participate or die. I was sent to kamino on the star destroyer ** ** ** during the year 19. Rain planet was like living in a glass of water always being shaken. The outdoors was a place to get in touch with your inner sense of danger, facing the winds alone, on a wet plasteel deck. "getting wet" the clones used to call it. was part of their own ritual pecking order. I marveled at how quickly the clones adapted, and learned. I was taken on a tour after being planetside for about 3 days. The facility was staggering. It was so large I could not feel the water below my feet. The hall went on to the edge of my vision. Row upon row of silver tanks stood before me. The tour was being led by one of the senior members of the kamino planetary ambassador, and the special project manager. They showed me 24 versions of myself. All growing inside glass tubes. I saw myself sleeping. And somehow felt US at the same time. At that time I was almost 27. having been across the galaxy 3 times. These clones, or men. Must have been at least 19 standard years old, if they were a day! I asked the ambassador how long they had been working on the project. They asked me how long had I been in training? I felt funny, because suddenly I knew there were hands at work in my life that, never in a million years would I have dreamed this possible. The ambassador continued to explain that when I joined the academy, my blood sample went right up to special operations. Stem cells, bone marrow and hair samples were also taken at carida, and I was flagged for observation. Clones were started 3 months after I joined the academy. I asked them why? Then they asked me if I had studied blood science? I told them no, then the unspoken question hung in the air.

Full resin E-11 from DoopyDoo's with some modifications
TK bondservnt replied to T-Jay's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
the luke blaster seen in those photos is a non firing version. some clips were cast that way, but the real firing blasters had a correctly modified clip. so really there are 2 types of clip ends. the right way. and the wrong way. both are seen in the film. remember. there are 3 kinds of e-11 in the film. 1. solid resin cast, with wrong clip cut. trigger is cast in resin 2. bapty demil, with block of wood, or wrong cut resin clip. solid rear aluminum block no trigger 3. real sterling with properly cut working clip. fires blanks and ejects shells. -

just because you see it as a "fight" does not make it a fight. there was an orange that was born thinking it was an apple. the apples just laughed and made orange juice. they used to call it "making a mountain out of an anthill." comparing this to leather belts, or cutting the armor a certain way, or "the fx helmet" only shows the inaccurate attempt to make cutting the notch IMPORTANT. it's not. because you can not see it from the outside of properly worn armor. thread joke one cosplay to the other "was that trooper wearing CA boots?" kid wearing vynal wookie suit "yeah, those boots are wrong, he's supposed to be wearing elvis boots" points to elvistrooper as an example... on a side note I think there should be a legion wide vote put out for changes to be made. running short term polls with votes less than 200 strong, don't properly represent the membership. closed door policy by an elite group only shows a lack of proper management.

I think you make a great point here. and I see your direction. my only concern is that the details you mention don't compare with each other on a logical stance. while on the one hand, it's about cutting armor, and on the other it's about cutting on the proper lines. I've seen AP armor come off the buck untrimmed, and it looks like GF attempted to remove the side AB detail, and they seem to have followed a more square line, which is why AP armor is smaller by this amount in the first place. The kidney and butt plates are quite large and tall, so I'm sure that this area must not have been easy for GF to form on, and he probably removed it during a 'cleanup' pass on the original molds. I'm sure that if the detail was actually seen on the outside of the armor that would justify changing the design. but it's doubtful that AP will change an element this minor. (it sure would help to add this back on, but it's just not gonna happen.) remember, stormtrooper molds of the AP kind are made from aluminum and are not just cheap to change. plus, he likes the armor the way it is, and if he wanted to change it, he would have done so, 10 years ago.
