  5. Congratulations Lou, job well done
  6. When? I have hotels booked up for the entire month of June, still no opening date. I'd like to meet you also Mike
  7. Hey Austin the only dirty TKs are either Heavy Weapons Troopers or Sandtroopers. How dirty is dirty? Have any photos?
  8. DUDE! You made a repair guide out of wood, mad skills
  9. Great job on this Dino. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
  10. Very nice. You're getting there
  11. You can always go with screen accurate Poppers. Those you can get in your neck of the woods.
  12. Fasnap or DOT, Military and Marine grade and non corrosive. Slightly more expensive then Tandy but well worth the money IMHO. They also sell the setters
  13. Bib? jk. Looking forward to your experiment
  14. The reason it reacts with certain snaps is because of the LACK of anti-corrosive material or coating, instead it is reacting to the base metal. Marine and Military grade snaps (relatively same in price as their less protective counterparts) are made to protected against environmental exposure and corrosive chemicals.
  15. I think you maybe onto something regarding glues that are packaged looking like E6000. I've definitely seen those.
  16. E6000, never seen it happen. Maybe depending on the material? Clamping force yes
  17. Looking good so far Jake
  18. Don't get me wrong other suppliers like Imperial make a very good boot. Even to this day since TK boots are no longer being made Imperials are what I promote but, if we're comparing apples to apples TK boots are a higher quality boot because of the thickness of the material, stronger straps, more durable soles just to name a few. That said, since they are no longer being made and most likely there's no support if something goes wrong we can remove them from the equation
  19. Hi Linz welcome. Just a little helpful suggestion regarding your blaster. The Hengstler counter should be located a bit lower. Here's a reference photo
  20. Regarding the chest plate, to be honest I don't recall ever seeing E6000 having an adverse effect on ABS, unless in contact with less than quality snaps. Being there are no snaps in this area I'm not sure what to make of it. That said, though it might get brought up during higher level approvals I can't say for certain it would prevent you from earning those badges. Something that will get mentioned is the corners of the shoulder covers which should be squared not rounded. Here's a reference photo As for the elastic hold downs, it really doesn't matter if there off or on the back plate at L3 so long as it's there. Another reference photo.
