The measurements are not a requirement and so will not effect any level of approval if not followed. This does not to discredit wherever they were acquired from. The point is armors will differ slightly between suppliers so naturally what may work with some armor may not work with others. The key here is that the plates do not extended further than the Ab mounting surfaces as seen in the reference photo.

The buttons look great, the return edge (flat section) should not extend out farther the raised Ab section. Should look more like this

Lol, it's all good, just a slight difference of opinion. Like many here we're just passionate about armor , Paul's focus on the elbow gap is correct and I don't dispute that, my concern was the overall length of your arms and armor placement. Again, coming from someone who has long arms if my armor was built to his specs my forearm armor would be at the middle of my forearm. So, placement is relevant so it doesn't look odd. That said, dropping the biceps as low as they can go without popping out the bottom of the bells and minimizing the gap between biceps and forearms is key. If for some reason you find yourself with unusual amount of space between the forearms and hand guards I suggest consulting one of the DOs here as well your garrison's GML for advice as those will be the folks ultimately approving your armor. Keep up the great work

Zerop1ng's first time build - 850 Armor Works FOTK

Wow Shawn you're making so quick work with your build. Excellent! -
Not going to argue with you on a build page Paul but simply look at the photo I provided. It's not rocket science. Florian I apologies for the slight disruption. This is your armor build it as you wish, according to the CRL of course

I always understood it meant the lower corner of the return edge. And that's how I approved applicants. Yes the top section needed to be trimmed a certain way but it wasn't the main focus.

I'll be there Friday and Sat

Incorrect. It is relevant. Also, once you put your arms down (and eventually you will) your forearms will hike half up 2" inches. Coming from experience as someone who 6' tall with long arms it makes a world of difference where the forearms are placed. I agree there should be minimal gap between the forearm and bicep but if you have exceptionally long arms this theory doesn't always apply. Florian I suggest you take a look at some taller RS Centurion applicants as see how their placement is set.

TK-32294 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status [ATA] (436)

Copy For what it's worth the hooks will help but the Bicep to Bell connection is the main contact that maintains placement. In this area nylon webbing is your friend, just a suggest of course -
TK-32294 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status [ATA] (436)
ukswrath replied to Bazz's topic in Request Centurion Status
Hey Adi looking good, forearms too. Just be aware the cover strips may get snagged on things because they're not flush with the armor, other than that you look great The only other adjustment I see needing is the placement of arm sections. From the front and back views it appears your right arm armor is considerably longer than the left. If you have a fabric tape measure start at the very tip of the shoulder bell and measure to the wrist end. Note the lower end of each section then compare arms. Afterwards make adjustments as needed. The goal is to have a uniformed look between sides. Keep up the great work as usual -
Fives-Niner’s ANH Stunt

Then look for a "thin" walled plumbing tube roughly with the same outer diameter specs as Daniel mentioned. -
Hey Derek, thanks for the kudos brother. You can suspend your thighs a few different ways. 1. Take 2" or 3" wide Velcro and sew a loop at one end for a waist belt. On the other sew on some Velcro, then add Velcro to the inner thighs. There you have an adjustable suspension system that's supported by your waist. 2. Take 2" or 3" wide Velcro and sew on some Velcro on both ends. One side connects behind your Ab the other to the thighs. Again, adjustable suspension system. 3. Glue, or add snaps to each end of 1" nylon webbing (length is up to the wearer). Then glue webbing or snap mounts to the thighs and Ab. Split the webbing somewhere in the middle/upper and add an 1" adjustable buckle for dis assembly and adjustment. 4. Buy an already completed suspension system that's not only used for the things but for the torso as well. Hope this helps

Actually it's very easy, just slide your hand between the Velcro sections at the top then push towards the bottom, kinda like a zipper lol. I like it because it give me room for expansion, if you know what I mean , not to mention it's screen accurate
-
It does work well but I do suggest using less Velcro than I did. My was a bit overkill

Welcome Dave

Is the glue not adhering to the hand guards or the gloves, or both?
-
Movie armor didn't have a connecting strap hence the reason they're seen positioned all over the place in the movie however, there are connections between the bicep and forearm and lower shoulder bells. Though not necessary or required a connecting strap between the bicep and bell does help maintain alignment. Reference photos

Prep both surfaces with denatured alcohol. I use CA glue on all silicone guards even Joseph's that have cheese cloth ingrained. I've never had an issue.
