IMO dremels are great for certain cuts, but sometimes a hobby knife or scissors is easier (won't run away on you!). Good job on the eyes n teeth. You could probably get away with opening the teeth more but it's up to you. Leave way more room on the ears than you think you'll need! lol

Okay so every TK is ROTJ regardless of locale? I assumed we saw ROTJ cause they showed us the Endor level. And that there'd be setting-appropriate representations with grey frowns w/ holsters on the Death Star or Mos Eisley, black frowns w/ holsters on Bespin, and black lips w/out holsters on Sarlaac pit (or would it just be TDs??) etc. Do we get Snowtroopers on Hoth?😕 There's definitely enough disc space for the small differences in characters models. I forgive BF1&2 for saving space but now there's no excuse. And I meant more like them using the face as reference for a tie pilot or something specific. Just get an RS was my point.

I'm about to order a Voicebooster.com PTT button but the board I'm using has a speaker directly wired to it, no external amp:----------- The $10 voicebooster PTT designed for icomms has one jack so I'm gonna solder that to the connectors of the old button. The other PTT offered has an out for an amp which I don't have. Should work, right? Or does the icomm PTT have special wiring? Just wondering, if anyone has dealt with their innards before

The left fits my forearm width with 5/8" strips. Right is of course bigger, but I'll add foam or something. There's white shiny ABS and there's matte grey/yellow/green/beige HDPE[s?] which it looks like he's using in the videos. Screen used ANH were hdpe helmets with abs armor if I'm not mistaken. So you only have to paint the hdpe white beforehand

Finally made those first cuts. Deep breaths and lexan scissors. I started with the forearms like many and I have my first question; the crl for centurion says "no return edge on inside of front of forearm" which means I can leave the return edges on the rear? My choice? Trooperbay vids say no return edges at all on ANH forearms so I thought I'd ask. I'd rather leave them as much as is comfy. Here are the edges I still have:

Look for a specialty hardware store near you and get a replacement welders mask for like $9. Or there are folks on here (and Amazon etc.) who will ship one to you. You're looking for stunt, right? For hero you can cut them out, put on the eyes, and heat-gun them into shape For pads, I use a motorcycle helmet liner in my ATA cause they're smaller and my head is big. Military-spec sizing pads are good if it's too big for you. They look soft but they're not squishy.

I guess I was thinking that if you did familiarize yourself, say, as much as one of us, then wouldn't you not really want a weird one to look at all day? And if he indeed likes the idealized look, then I fear it will carry influence somehow. I hope it was just for the picture

If you're referring to their pic of the bucket rear, look how it's trimmed; the left side is vertical where the right side is diagonal. They just trimmed the right side more than the left. I don't think the tube looks that wonky if you fixed the cut. Look at the 3/4 front views to compare. Maybe one screen-used lid was cut that way so they're reproducing it as part of their Frankenstein amalgamation of authentic asymmetries they're using as their example for us to examine for such things

It's pejorative for sure. Seems like they're trying to boost faith that their license equates to a good kit, but they're counting their chickens before they hatch imo.

Mine came with an orange ring glued on the muzzle. Comes off easily but left superglue residue. Not a big deal to fix tho. And I'm sure I can either fix an accurate handle to it or round off the one it has

LOL I'd absolutely do it if I had a built kit ready for mods. Right now I have a 99% unbuilt ATA kit (painted the helmet some today) and an Anovos on the way. I plan to make one eventually, just gotta do the TK part first!😅 I won't call dibs, but if no one does it before me then I'd be honored to do it. Yeah, does Home Depot let you run a tab?😎
