  1. I was about to buy the [editorial rights to the] files too, but if you already have them... Let me pm you, secoyrd, about a special project I'm working on. As for scale, we could probably safely assume that the end cap, nozzle, front sight guard, mag well, and other recognizable Sterling pieces would have their original dimensions/scale, right? Probably still around 18" inches long total. I don't think they shortened the rear pipe length, but that the scope's new profile makes the back look relatively stubby. I'd love to see that TFA file transposed over/inside/with a good ANH file.😉
  2. What a fun read. Glad to see it finished all up and working the way you wanted, you should be proud. I'm considering opening my DVH bolt too but feel bad!😱 lol. I liked the video demo, good luck with your bbb
  3. By the time the first crew shows everyone else exactly what we're getting, the price will have tripled. That's all the motivation I needed to day-one it, regardless of my future plans for the kit. Build and display, keep mint in box, troop/wear-out, mod, or sell.. If you're looking for a kit, you have all the same options as before, so this cheaper (at time of writing) Hail Mary option shouldnt be anyone's first choice until we know a lot more... at which point it will be too late to save money (lol thanks a lot guys!😠) but that tells me that they've thought about their marketing strategy just a little and really are trying to make the other makers flinch by offering a competitive kit for way too cheap. Cautious optimism at its finest.
  4. Yup still available. Looks like I need 4 backups tho
  5. Maybe my 3.5mm plug idea wasn't the best. I didn't think Tony's speakers would come with the little red detachable connector boxes (expected bare wires) so I don't need another level of removability. But then I'd need stereo leads and it's mono output!
  6. Don't have mine yet but I'm hoping for it to be my 5-digit zip which starts with 9. As though we have (had) over 90,000 TKs
  7. Haven't had a chance yet. but Tony said they're nearly the same stats as the speaker in the mask so I assume the board has its own amp which would boost the volume
  8. There's no debate regarding the TFU2 model. It's been officially established that the new BF TK is closesr to ROTJ than the other two films, just look at the official media. The rationalization being that all the OT battles just take place during or shortly after Jedi. I guess I can't be upset with that just because I prefer ANH details for my personal armor set. I used to dislike ROTJ lids but now I want one. i was really excited to see a Sterling-based E11 on PS4, I hope it's not strictly a Mk4 replica. Again, not a deal-breaker by any means, just my personal hype train's trajectory
  9. There's a pic showing the view through it before it got painted😉
  10. Gotta get me one if them thar 3d contraptions. Looking good! Keep it up
  11. I love those monocular things. Great job, looks realistic
  12. Good to know its even possible! Time to learn how to use a solder sucker-upper thingy
  13. While their jedi belts are actually moderately acceptable after some tlc, to Locitus you must listen and steer clear of all their other products (coincidentally, including jedi robesðŸ˜)
  14. Fun idea to make it more realistic feeling for the kiddo. Most opt for adding electronics, but younglings can just use their imaginations! Pew!
  15. Well it didn't work. 😕 The mic speakers work when plugged into my phone, but a heck of a lot quieter than I had anticipated (seemed way louder in the videos) I thought I had soldered it half-decently, but now I see the deplorable job I did. Hopefully, the wires just aren't actually touching the leads:
  16. Here's the whole vocal system together. One 2 sq inch board, 3 AAAs, mini mic; no external amp or MP3 player required: It really is not very big! Plenty of wire, too much lol, but BTHIANNITTNIANHI, as they say (no actual idea if anyone says that). iComm PTT comes today but that will just run down my arm... Or I might leave the button they give you and hide it in the s-trim to hit with my thumb (no wires coming out that way)
  17. Okay here's another question: I cut open the female 3.5mm jack's cable and found the normal red and white wires... plus a bunch of loose copper single wires all around them. Is this just for insulation since its audio hardware? I'm gonna ignore it!😉
  18. I think Lucas likes ROTJ TKs, but now who knows. It'll be fun to see what they come up with, and we know they'll be able to improve stuff in the sequels, too. Don't get me wrong, I'm counting the hours and I'm trying to have my ATA kit ready for day-one😉 My ps4 camera already recognizes my helmet
  19. That's what worried me... so I got UKSWRATH's hovi mic speakers with a 3.mm male lead, and soldered a female jack to the board's speaker nodes. 😉 That way you can just unplug to upgrade.
  20. I'm not in charge or anything, but it should be okay as long as it has the details listed in the CRL (3 tooth holes per side, 3 ear bumps, smoke bubble lenses, etc.) At the very least, it should be okay for level one. Probably want to let someone who knows for certain answer before you buy. It's not from eBay is it?
  21. It's made of steel, but it's thin enough to bend with pliers if you eat spinach first. I'm about to try cutting it with a dremel. There's a good tutorial for the real magazines you can follow
  22. What movie? lol Personally, I'd open some of the teeth holes just a tiny bit more until they all come riiight to the edge of the lip but without going into them. Hard to explain! "no gums" I read somewhere. Just a tiny bit more, if you ask me, but I like rectangle holes vs oval holes (look up pandatrooper's ATA lid howto, he likes ovals)
  23. Tough choice... ATA is a staple, where Anovos is a steal. I just got my ATA kit and it looks great in person, but I also went for the $350 deal. Their factory soft parts will likely be lesser quality than the beautiful hand-made pieces crafted by members here, so don't let that make your decision since you might be replacing it all. ATA's price is a relative constant compared to Anovos, though! Only gonna get more expensive. Good luck on your journey
  24. You're fine. The rivets and ear screws hold it in shape, and the ears cover the actual seam
