Video of 501st clone helmet - I would like to know if what he does here is common, and if it holds up. I like how he made it "dirty", used the latex, and made the burn marks. I dont know if these methods are any good though. Any thoughts? Thinking about doing all this for a TKC

In my opinion, I don't think they would be making something that wouldn't be accepted by the 501st. If it ended up being disapproved, they would lose plenty of customers. The kit price isn't going to stay low for much longer. I see the possibility of it being a lemon, but at $450 I should be able to get my money back. I think i will stay on the wait list for ATA and go ahead and preorder the Anovos kit. When my name comes up in "11 months" on the wait list, I just might want it. The Anovos website says - Armor pieces made from white PVC plastic - is that worse than ABS plastic?

Hello, I'm very excited to join this community! I have been doing a good amount of research the past few days, and I have learned a lot. I have looked at the ATA and its $530 with a 11 month wait list. I also found the preorder of the Anovos kit for $450. If I saw it when it was $350, it would've been an easy choice. It looks like it will be a good amount of wait for either one. Will the Anovos be any good (know its not out yet, so i'm asking for some educated guesses), or should i just wait to get ATA? Also, is it a bad idea to wait for the ATA armor, but get the helmet now (no wait for helmets)? Thanks! -joe376
