  1. Well, here we are. Sly, is a nick name my buddy's gave me back in my Clubbing days. I was lucky enough to have some pretty Hot girlfriends and for some reason I had no problem picking up good looking girls. It started off they would say, Look at this sly dog, how does he do it, in the end they just called me Sly. Forgot to mention, 11 is my lucky number, also was born on the 11th. Will eventually just change my forum name to Sly. I can also do a fairly reasonable Sylvester Stallone impersonation. Yo Adrien
  2. If this is getting you down, you always have the option of selling it, saving some more coin, and talking to the vetted sellers here on FISD. We only have your best interests in mind. If you decide to push on and modify this armor, we are still here to support you and help where we can. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah, but the Queensland humidity is pretty harsh, and this summer has been shocking. No one in Brissy or further north troops in chem gloves. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. First off Hans, I love the action shot with the Two blasters, awesome. The only things I have to mention, I don't think willeffect your EIB submission. 1. Pan head screws for your Thermal det and paint them black. 2. Maybe the gap between the bottom of your biceps and the top of the forearms is a little to great. The gap between your glove plates and forearms is not important. 3. Not sure if this matters at all, but the rank stripe on the ears is traditionally on the back bump or just before it, rather than the front in most of the applications I have seen. Only minor cosmetic changes, but will make your overall look and your, no doubt future Centurion submission look better. Looks great, and good luck [emoji3] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Congrats and welcome to the ranks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Nice build you have there Lee Good luck with your submission, i think everyone has covered the points you needed to fix.
  7. Another choice build from the mighty Redback Garrison. Great work so far Johnny. [emoji106] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Go the Zappa gaaap, I think it's now the staple in the Redback Garisson, I can't think of any recent builds we've had that have used E6000. Just make sure you double and triple check everything before you put the two surfaces together. Keep up the good work John, Supa Nova is approaching . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Me too Vern, I thought perhaps my donation was insufficient, hence no supporter badge. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I am a little over 32" waist and it is a snug fit, no shims needed, but if I start packing it on, I am going to need to loosen some elastic for sure. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks, great set of armour. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for the share. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Congratulations Chris, and welcome to the ranks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Hi Mark, when you fix up your thermal det brackets make sure the material you use is approx 1 inch wide, as your look a little narrow. Reinstalling your shoulder bell straps will make them sit better definitely only other thing that I think hasn't been covered , and may not need changing is your drop boxes. They should be very close to touching the bottom of your belt, but wait until you here from Gazmosis before changing that. Looks good , so good luck. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Hi Chris, I agree with Tim, looks pretty schmick, just that shoulder bell turning. If you reposition it and find it keeps turning, you could move the top strap from the bell to the shoulder bridge forward a little this may help to reduce it. Good luck, but should be fine. 16. Good on you brother, you are going to love the journey you're about to embark on, I promise . As I mentioned before, we are here to help, and remember this, measure twice, cut once. I am truly excited for you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Greetings and welcome to the FISD Disciple, I can't really add any more than the others have already done so above,. Everything you have chosen is awesome, but I will reiterate the words of both Gazmosis and DarkCMF. Commissioned is nice, and an added cost of coarse, but please do consider the path we have mostly taken. The true path to the Empire, and the overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and pride you will feel, when on a troop someone asks you about your awesomeness, and you can answer with " I assembled it myself". It might seem daunting, and some may even make it seem even more so than it is, but trust in us. We are here to help every step of the way, as is your local garrison . WE LOVE TO HELP, and we love progress photos of cadets work. With your new skill set, In turn you will want to help others, and the circle is complete. You will transform from disciple to fully approved Badass, all at your own hand. Again welcome, research, and keep asking questions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Fantastic review, thanks Tim, well done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Can't wait to see this build in its entirety. You must do a YouTube vid so we can see and hear it in action when complete. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. I can attest to the use of mineral turpentine. I had bad paint bleed on the frown as I taped the surrounding area, the toothpick and turps worked perfectly and was easy enough, it just took a little time as I had quite a few bleeds. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Here is the Centurion application I mentioned http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28708-tk-11469-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status-ap140/ Hope this helps a little. Build thread http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28366-slys-ap-anh-stunt-tk-build/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Bekka22, you are similar in size and weight to me. I went with AP, Mark was a pleasure to deal with, answered all my questions and gave great advice. The AM kits are quite large in size, and do require parts to be replaced to hit the centurion level . Took my AP to Centurion no problems at all. I will find my centurion application and post the link for you, also have a basic build thread I can post the link for that to if you like. I'm sure I have said a quick hello to you on the Redback forum, I have the paint info you are looking for, and more than happy to help. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
