TK-19812 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB [Anovos] [577]
Sly11 replied to TK19812's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hi Sean, thank you for your application, time to see how you went!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required photos are present. Your armor meets all the requirements needed for EIB. Ukswrath and I would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry. Great job Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we make recommendations to enhance the overall look of your armor. These areas are suggestions made by your peers, Sly and myself. These suggestions will not effect your EIB status. Firstly, thank you for adjusting your thigh armour, its looking better positioned correctly and slightly higher, well done. Now that they are even, maybe wear your forearms a little higher to close the gap between then and the bicep armour, approximately half the gap you currently have and you are good to go. Another thing is to watch those shins as they look like they tent to rotate a bit. There are a couple of things you can do to reduce or stop this. 1. Place some pieces of foam in the area at the top of the shin to prevent the movement. 2. Velcro on the upper front part of your boots and in the same place on the inside of the lower shin. There is also a stirrup you can make up that runs under your foot and stick out the top of the boot. again using Velcro to secure the end inside the front of the shin. Lowest ear screw. This might just be the angle of the shot, but the screw looks different to the others, if it is, and only a suggestion but you could replace it, or tighten it to change the position a little. We can see your attention to detail with the screws and mic tip mesh all replaced, and its obvious you are gunning for Centurion with the extra photos included in this application. Nice!! Centurion Suggestions: Tony and I do our best to spot anything that would effect a future application, and I am happy to say everything looks to be ready to apply. Congratulations again on a very slick set of armour, and we look forward to your Centurion application! -

Hey Chris, welcome to your long awaited EIB review!! Thank you for your patience and for the upgrades you have made. Looks like the Planets have aligned and here we are on May the 4th Star Wars Day, lets get into it. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been posted and your armor contains all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry!! Congratulations and Welcome to EIB!! and May the 4th be with you Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Its great that you have taken on board the comments some of your fellow troopers had made and decided to do some mods and upgrades before we did your review. Originally, we may have had some suggestions, but from what I can see you have addressed virtually all the concerns. The only real suggestion we have is to trim the sharp looking corners down on the sniper plate in case they catch on something or mark your under suit. Your armour looks well balanced for someone 6'2" and slim build, we think you have done a great job indeed. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we do our best to get you primed for a future Centurion application, we do try and spot everything but the final accuracy is up to the trooper. Again Chris not really anything to comment on here. For your Centurion application, follow the photo check list and CRL to make sure you have everything covered, and get that application in. Its a beautiful set of Trooper Master armour you have there, and your fellow garrison members will be proud to have you marching along side them. Again welcome to the rank of Expert infantry, now get out there and report for duty!! -

Hey Ryan, the guys are all over this one, please fix your belt and post up new the photo. Also can you please put your details in at the top of the post as mentioned above, and lastly, can we please get a clear action shot, yours is very blurry. We actually use them in a separate thread on the forums. Thank you. -

Hi Rebecca, good to see another lady trooper aiming high!!, thank you for your application, and the new modifications, lets take a look! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for EIB. Welcome to Expert Infantry trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section, we review suggestions made by your fellow troopers and our own observations. All go towards improving the final look of your armor. If there is anything that would affect a future Centurion application it will be mentioned in that section at the bottom. You really have a nice set of armour Rebecca, so lets have a look at a couple of points that are going to really top off this great build. Shoulder Bells: the strap appears longer on one side compared to the other, so if you could shorten the longer one up so the bells are balanced, it will sharpen your finished look. The top of the bells should be virtually if not touching the bridges, as in the below image. Shoulder bridge alignment: This one circled may require a little heat to bend it more in line with the back plate, cosmetic, yeah, but it will look beautiful sitting the same as its counter part on the opposite shoulder. Centurion Suggestions: We do our best to spot everything, but ultimate level of accuracy for Centurion is up to the Trooper. You are well on your way to achieving the next level with a few minor changes, you will have it in your grasp. One thing we would like you to fix is your belt. Currently it is bunching down at the top as it appears you have it on upside down. Most belts, as mentioned in your thread, have a plastic insert that prevents the fabric from folding over. In the below photo, it does look like a thicker part of the belt is at the bottom, (starts about half inch down from the top. Hopefully the drop boxes are easy enough to remove and place back on the other side. I would at least put the belt on the other way to see if the same is occurring, and take a photo both ways. If it is still the same then I will stand corrected. Everything else looks in good order, so all we can suggest is you follow the Centurion CRL carefully and the photo check list for that level. As to the Helmet photos, the list do mention 4 photos, one from each side, and we would like to see these separate and not as part of other photos in your application. Thank you for being so patient with us, and congratulations once again on a great set of armour and your EI badge Hope to see a centurion app from you soon. -

Excellent work, we will be with you shortly When you get a moment, could I also have you update your action photo with the newly modified thighs please. This wont hold up your process, but we do use the action shots in another part of the forum. Thanks again for your patience. -
Any chance we can see photos of all the parts of the kit, and even an assembled one. I am sure if you post those up your 20 kits will sell quickly

TK-31984 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status (ANOVOS) [572]
Sly11 replied to Soundwave's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hi William, thank you for your application for the EI badge, lets have a look at your armour! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have now been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for EIB. Congratulations and welcome to Expert Infantry trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section, Tony and i review suggestions made by your fellow troopers and our own observations. All go towards improving the final look of your armor. If there is anything that would affect a future Centurion application it will be mentioned in that section at the bottom. We think you have done a great job with the Anovos kit. The little finishing touches like changing the Hovi mic mesh and replacing the ear screws go a long way towards the type of accuracy we like to see specially when it comes to lvl 2 and 3. There are a few more improvements you can also make to get you looking your absolute best, so lets cover those. Drop box alignment: It appears yours move around a bit from photo to photo, so I can suggest either some Velcro or a dab of glue between the elastic strap and the back of the canvas belt to stop this. Just make sure they are lined up with the ends of the plastic ammo belt. Butt Plate: I don't think the Anovos supplied Velcro strapping is doing you any favors here. The anchor points are too far away from the edges of the Kidney and Butt plate. If we look at the back kidney and butt plate together, they all need to come down about an inch. This will achieve alignment between the Kidney and Ab plate at the top ridge and hopefully drop the Butt plate enough to reduce it popping out. Secondly, shorten up the straps between the butt and kidney to help reign it in. As it is at the moment its jutting out and then moving upwards and over the bottom of the kidney plate. I am not a fan of an all Velcro strapping system, and I think you would be far better off in the long run changing it out to an elastic and snaps system that will allow for better movement and make it easier for you to keep parts in alignment. Shoulder Bells: Shorten up the top strap to bring the bells touching the shoulder bridge at the top. It appears that one of your straps is longer than the other, but it could also be the camera angle that is exaggerating this. As another suggestion, you could reduce or remove the return edge off the bottom of the shoulder bells so they sit closer to your body and bicep armour. Forearm Cover strip: Also in this same image you can see a sharp looking edge on the forearm cover strip. My concern for you is armour bite injury, so it might pay to take that corner off at an angle to prevent that from happening. Centurion Suggestions: The ultimate accuracy of Centurion is up to the Trooper, and as we have mentioned above, you are already on your way to making those finer details. The Thermal Det screws are another little change possible, yours are close, but they should be a standard slotted pan head type. Make sure in your Centurion application, you keep an eye on things like Ab to Kidney gap, any overlaps or excessive spaces occurring while having your photos taken, and follow the Lvl 3 CRL and photo check list. We once again congratulate you on the achievement of Expert Infantry, and will see you in the centurion app threads soon. -

Sly11 replied to ScaryGuy's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Yes they should run to the top, but not curve over. If you are considering to shorten the thighs, yes that will also fix the problem. Your thighs do look a little long, but I wouldn't take off too much. The return edge is not necessary at the top of them any way, so you could fix too problems in one, the length and the cover strip shortness. Have you spoken with your garrison regarding the Blaster, I hope someone can help you with one for the photo, you don't need to troop with it if you can not. -

Hi Anzo, thank you for your application, lets take a look! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor contains all necessary details to obtain Centurion. Congratulations and welcome!!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Thank you so much for adjusting the shoulder bells inward, they look excellent, and as mentioned in your EI application, you have a marvelous looking set of armour. If there were anything we could find, it would only be to try and find a better colour match paint for the hand plates, as they look cream against your beautifully white armour. Once again Congratulations and welcome to centurion rank!! -

Hi Rebecca I have had a quick look at your application just to see if anything stands out. As we have been running a little behind, we are giving applicants the opportunity to fix small things before we get to their applications and thoroughly go into them. Nice build by the way, and judging by first glance you look to be aiming for Centurion but there is a few things that need some attention. You thigh and shin cover strips are too long. What I mean is, on the thighs, the cover strip should stop at the top of the ridge line around the bottom, it doesn't go over or onto it as you have. The rear of the shins is also too long. Your cover strips go right to the top where they should finish at the base of that top ridge. Hope that makes sense. Also, is there any chance of a new photo of your lenses, as they look blue in the current image and should be green or a black smoke look. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to shoot me a PM -

Sly11 replied to ScaryGuy's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hi Theo, yeah unfortunately the guys are right, you will need a blaster for the photos. Even if it means you borrow one from a member we would allow it under your circumstances, I can tell you this, you look great, a nice solid build and worthy of the application for EIB. Observations: thigh cover strips could be a little longer as they should finish at the highest point of the thighs. Biceps look a little large for you, they should fit snug when you flex your arm. You could also change the mesh in the Hovi tips for a more accurate mesh (would not effect an application, just an accuracy thing) Such a clean and crisp build, i really hope you can get hold of an E11 and go all the way to Centurion. Cheers -
Love it, Love it, love it!! Again another great newsletter, and the HelloGreedo Vid is excellent.

Hi Conrad, welcome to your Centurion review, lets get to it! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted. It has been determined that your armor displays all the necessary requirements to qualify for Centurion. Ukswrath and I would like to congratulate you on an outstanding build and welcome you to the rank of Centurion! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Excellent build Conrad, I do think it would be a great idea to add some photos of how you modified the Anovos belt completely, (read, made a new one but used some of the Anovos belt material.in your application thread. This is for the benefit other members who are viewing it and like Tony and myself thought you were still using the one supplied with the Anovos kit. For the record the Anovos belts are not approvable at Centurion level, and we highly recommend they are replaced with one from one our talented members. Good job non the less Again, Congratulations on a fabulous build, Now get out there and make your Garrison proud.
