  3. G'day Chris, well here we are......Centurion application. well done for coming this far, so lets see what we have. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: Thank you for making the requested modifications onthe shoulder bells and knee pack from your EIB application, I'm sure you will agree those little refinements make you look the best you can look. All required photos are present, and your armor contains all necessary elements for Centurion. That being said, Congratulations!!, you did it. A good clean application is always a pleasure for us to go through so thank you for making our job easy. There is only one suggestion I have in relation to your Butt plate. It seems to stick out a bit on one side. I think by adding an extra strap or moving the existing one closer to the end might just alleviate that problem. Now get out there and Troop your Centurion butt off.
  4. We need more good people like you in this Detachment Joseph, what a gentleman!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  6. Hi Alberto, Tony and I are reviewing your application, please stand by. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Hey Jose, congratulations and welcome to the ranks!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Hey Roy, thanks for your application, so without further delay, here we go. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required photos have been posted. Your armor contains all the necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that, we would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry. Congratulations!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Commission builds are always interesting as you never know how they are going to fit until you first put it on. RS Prop have done a great job as the armor fits you well, but there are always going to be one or two little things that need fine tuning. As your fellow troopers have mentioned, those top straps on your Shuolder bells could be shortened so the Bell top touches the bridge. Centurion Suggestions: Your Ab and Kidney alignment were a topic of discussion between Tony and myself, so we did some research and a bit of digging as we wanted to ensure your best interest were in hand. We discovered that this alignment is standard with RS Prop commission builds, so the below comments and photo regarding this are only suggestions to make your armor look as accurate as possible and will not effect any future approval. Below this are also some suggestions for the positioning of the snap on the opposite side, Ab and Kidney alignment Your armor Alignment on a screen used set of armor Snap positioning on right side. The snap should be closer to the seam, where I have placed the Blue circle, this can be achieved in two ways. Either by trimming off some surplus material to the (Red line), or moving the snap to the(Blue circle) position, making some ABS paste and filling the old hole. This is a mod we would really like to see, if you have the extra space, trimming and shortening the internal straps would be the easier option. Photo of original armor right side snap postilion. You have a beautiful set of armor and should be proud, Congratulations once again, and we hope to see a Centurion application from you soon.
  9. The great Q strikes again, great job mate, hope you are bringing that puppy to Dream World next year!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Wow at 6'3" AP is a real stretch, but at the end of the day, a good build is a good build, and we don't discriminate on the size of a Trooper. AP is about as small as armor comes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Hi Chris, thanks for your patience and welcome to your EIB review, lets get to it. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All photos are present and your armor represents all necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that I would like to congratulate you on your new "Expert Infantryman" status!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Overall you have a very well balanced armor build, nice work Chris, it makes Tony and my job an easy one with the quality of builds we have coming through of late. Next stop Centurion!! Centurion Suggestions: As mentioned by your Trooper brethren, please shorten up those top shoulder bell straps, so the Bells virtually touch the shoulder bridges, also yes if you could bring the fore arms up to decrease the gap between the tops of them, and the bottom of the Biceps. Knee ammo pack, not quite sure what is going on here as we only have a clear shot of the outer rivet placing but make sue you take a photo of both sides for your Centurion application. It does look slightly lop sided from the front and rear photo, but if you want to take that shot and send it to me in a PM i can have a look and maybe suggest what can be done to sort it . Thanks again for your application and welcome to the ranks.
  12. Congratulations Brian[emoji106] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Best advise I can give, Start saving! [emoji12] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Guys head straight to the Hard armor section and start looking at AP armour builds. Also have a look at approved EIB and Centurion apps to see the sort of things that people get right and wrong in their submissions. At the end of the day, when building for accuracy, use original reference material from the FISD photo archives and only use build threads and applications as guides. Hope this helps. Oh and ask a crap load of questions, there is plenty of help here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Hey James, thank you for your application for Expert Infantry, lets take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All photos are present and your armor contains all specifics required to meet EIB, with that we welcome you to Expert Infantry rank. Another nice clean AP build, well done Sir. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: I cant tell if your helmet is entirely hand painted or you have used decals, that's a darn good paint job in my books, very nice work. Also good work making AP fit around your mid section, shims are never an easy task, but i will cover this subject in the Centurion suggestion section below. If you can shorten the top straps of your shoulder bells to make them virtually touch the bridges at the top, it will just be a finishing touch to make you look the best you can, we would really like to see this done for your future centurion application. Centurion Suggestions: I can see by your build that you are gunning for Centurion and there really is only one element that requires some attention with your side shims. As per the CRL . A single visible seam line is present. You have two options here, the first generally gives the best outcome. ABS paste, a mixture of small abs off cuts and acetone. this also forms a permanent bond as it literally acts like plastic weld. Once applied and dried, it is sanded back with fine sandpaper and then polished. There are many build threads that have used this method to great success. The other is a white caulking tube, but considering you already have a slightly different shade of white between your shim and the armor, this could give a third shade of white to the area which might be just a little too much. Personally I would do a practice run in making the ABS paste and applying it to some other scrap ABS materiel and experiment with the result before applying it to your armor. Once again Congratulations on your EIB badge. Please use the photo reference guide and include the D ring shot in a Centurion application. http://www.whitearmo...hoto-checklist/
  16. If you are going to use thinners, I would only ever use mineral turpentine on ABS, it is the mildest form and won't melt your armour. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Very impressive Clint! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. I found them in a marine shop. Actually they were a small nut and bolt, but the correct size and both pan head and slightly domed. They were available in varying lengths and sold individually so I didn't need to buy a box of them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. I used a Dremell with the sanding head on it . First I marked a line with pencil to sand down to rather than take it off entirely . This way if I made a mistake, there was still more I cauldron remove, sort of like a safety net. The only reason we keep any return edges is to give the illusion of thickness to the armor. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. You can remove the return edges on your Biceps and forearms to get a better fit. Most of the archive images show that the original suits Han no return edges at all. As o your little issue with the ab plate, yes some medium fine sand paper then fine , then wet n dry, which is exceptionally fine and as it name says, yes you wet it and sand out the scratches. Then Noves 3, and finish with Novus 2, you probably won't need the Novus 1. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I have an images of a Thermal Det with the required measurements. I will post it up here for you but can't get to it until tonight. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. They do look a little small, as they should be painted right to the bottom edges of the tear area. You can still used the Hand painted style decals for this (Dave M) versions available on Trooperbay once it is back up and running. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Hi José, and thank you for your quick response and getting those photos updated with the belt adjusted. With that, we would like to congratulate you and award you Centurion badge. Great work brother, continue to do your Garrison proud.
  24. Hi Comfy, could you please tell us the thickness of your end caps. They should be 19mm, (3/4") wide. Also on the right side of the button plate looks like it has a bit of a lip on it . This could do with a sand to take that kick up off. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
