I think you should dock some material from both sides of the Ab plate first then resize before removing any from the back plate. AP armour used to be quite small around the middle, if you take a look at mine, I didn't need to remove any material and i am thin. Mark re-worked his moulds a couple of years back to make some parts bigger to suit a wider array of body sizes as well as making a few accuracy corrections. He certainly extended the sides of the Ab plate so you can remove an inch either side of that. It is good to have some room to move in your armour from a comfort aspect and the gap can be taken up with the strategic positioning of a few pieces of foam so it doesn't move around too much.

One reason could very well be a small amount of mould release was still present on the surface of the armour, This is a silicon bases spray and can definitely prevent glue from bonding to an area.

Wow, looking sharp there Anthony. just watch your sniper plate doesn't get caught behind your thigh at the front. If it looks like it might a small piece of foam in the back bottom part of the thigh will pull it back out of the way. Good luck sir.

It certainly looks red lol. I think best practice will be to always have a reference images next to it for a colour comparison sake. The images from the past will again differ from the Black series figure as well, so it's going to be a choice of which is closer to which. Once you settle on the red, it may also pay to look for the closest PMS colour code to make it easier if you want pressure packs mixed to the same colour.

I have spoken with the LMO's and they are ok with this to go ahead. There are a few things they would like to see in your thread with regards to research. 1. TFA helmet is what the LMO's are leaning towards as this is a TFA era character that was gone before TLJ (yeah I know Hasbro used the TLJ helmet, but it's a conversation you and I can have) 2. They would like to see research from cross-referencing as cardinal has a description in the book and now the action figure that should take care of any parts that are different from the standard Storm troopers. Follow the existing TLJ CRL and make notes as you go for any changes required t suit Cardinal. Then we need to sell it to the LMO's for a green light. Occasionally they are hesitant to allow CRL's off action figures but it has happened in the past.
