  1. You guys will have a hall pass as you started construction before this took place so would be approved based on the current CRL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Great progress Justin. In case you haven't seen this post yet, I''m sure you may have some good feedback for the re word of the R1 CRL. In fact anyone currently working on this costume should take a look and chime in.
  3. It is meant to be like that, no need to trim it. Once you start assembling, it will be fine.
  4. It was only a matter of time before one of those lucky enough to have been part of the Mandalorian, would see dollar signs and decide to cash in. Me personally, I would have tried to get as many as possible to sign the armour and keep it as a memento of a truly once in a lifetime experience.
  5. Awesome, thanks Glen. If I get some time I'll make a start on the other links you have posted but have done my old icomm tute and the drop box one as well.
  6. Wow, nice work Avery, thank you for sharing.
  7. It's coming along nicely Jason. What do you intend to reinforce the armour with? Big pieces like the thighs chest, back and ab are going to need something on the inside as I know a few who have printed complete sets of armour now and all have had problems with de lamination of layer and parts cracking in transport.
  8. This is a great thread Jeff, I have pinned it so we don't lose it.
  9. Looking great except for your little brow issue Ben
  10. Dino is building the costume and writing the CRL lol, behind the scenes we have been discussing with the LMO's. Great to see the progress Dino, and very cool to have the voice of Pyre himself checking in on you
  11. Ahh, ok sorry lol yep I know Head Shot Props
  12. Hi Wally Work is already taking place re writing the R1 CRL and it is in the 501s section atm so its visible to members for input. Please bare in mind the CRL was written before the movie was released so it was put together on limited information, display photos and at a time no one was making R1 armour, so you can forgive those that were desperate to get something together to troop asap. Who is HSP by the way? I have not heard of them before and am interested to know more.
  13. Lots of ABS goodness right there Chris, let the fun begin.
  14. Hi Christin, great to see you have made a start
  15. Congratulations! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. All images recovered and complete.
  17. Photo bucket images that could be restored have been completed.
  18. Reason its in the 501st area is we can only sell merch to 501st members as per the Operations protocol 501st member means you must have an approved costume and have been issued a TK/Legion ID number. Article IX: Merchandise and Branding 1. The 501st Legion is a club based on a copyrighted property and is not authorized to profit from the sales of merchandise bearing images or ideas from the STAR WARS property. 2. Merchandise or materials created to promote or advertise the 501st Legion (referred to herein as "merchandise") will be sold only to members of the 501st Legion and Rebel Legion and at cost. Merchandise is not to be sold to the general public unless authorized and be approved by Legion Command and Lucasfilm
  19. latest piece reveal was at 15, yep we are down to increments of 5 now here is the 15 reveal piece.
  20. Hi Roxanne and welcome aboard. Great to see your journey is ready to begin. Plenty of support here so take your time post progress photos and ask as many questions as you need.
  21. Hi Paul and welcome to FISD.
  22. Hi JP The top of your shoulder bells should almost, if not touch the shoulder bridges as in this image below. It should be a simple matter of adjusting or shortening your top bell straps.
  23. You can’t go wrong with either kits to be honest. I went with an Un-trimmed kit as I wanted the full experience, but I am also lucky to have a local seamstress that makes excellent neck seal and holster. Ultimately it can also come down to how much time you have and how long you want your project to run. I built my AP from start to finish in under 2 weeks and that was my first build and I am still wearing it today, 6 year later:) Make the decision you feel most comfortable with and don’t look back.
