  1. Thought we're supposed to be using Blue angel for the buttons? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. There was a short tutorial on how to post pictures on Tapatalk. You will have to download the app photobucket. The app will upload the photos in your phone. Then you paste those photos into your post on tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Completed building my mini mag PTL rocket launcher. I spent maybe $35 total. I looked at some troopers build threads here. I simply do not have a wood shop or the tools to cut intricate wood pieces. All I did was use what was laying around the garage. First thing, you will want to get the 38' length PVC at 4' wide from Lowes/Home Depot. I included (2) couplings and a female threaded coupling. These pieces became the 'projectile front and exhaust end'. I used blocks of wood and roughly measured the length to be 8' in the center of the tube. Drilled the pieces into the tube to make a box. Had a practice rubber 9mm to use as a firing grip and drilled that into the tube. Styrofoam pad from Dollar Tree for swimming became a shoulder guard. Added some details from stuff laying around the garage. Found a pressure gauge and looks like old pedal plates(?). Used a faucet valve, piece of vacuum hose, blue cellophane, and a metal ruler (from a paper hole puncher) for the 'target scope'. And old CB radio cigarette lighter adapter for 'wiring'. The main component is a 4' wide PVC pipe and couplings! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Use the rubber gloves to get accepted, submission pictures. On troops, I use a tactical winter glove. Where what's comfortable, just make sure it's black Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. By the way, I am 5'5. You were not too short for a storm trooper because you are a human and not a clone. And please remind the MEN that say that line, that they must be Princess Leia because that is HER line Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If you go to Walmart and look for chemical gloves they will run you about $7 or so. If you go through the automotive department of Walmart they have black rubber gloves that are the same material as the chemical gloves but has a pretty frilly design that you can simply use a knife to cut off and pay $2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I went with military helmet padding; love it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Recently I have been contacting a fellow tropper and was interested in picking up his scratch build HWT Rocket Launcher. He was offering $100, but I would have to go where he is and pick it up. From where I am in OH to Flint, MI would be 3 and half hour drive x2, plus gas and tolls. I'm now gravitating towards bulding my own. The main PVC drainage pipe looks pretty easy to pick up and couplings. The details, like the middle box, wouldn't know how to get that. I have a hard rubber 9mm Beretta (used for hand/hand practice fighting) that I can use for the pistol grip. Can you help me our point me in the right direction? I don't really have a wood shop or the right tools (that I'm aware of).

  10. I'm in agreeance with everyone here. I have the Aker speaker and iComm as well that came with the PTT extension; and it's not great. The old adage; if you don't have anything nice to say.... So don't overthink it, install the iComm and microphone and have fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Actually, the title is indicating that you're an approved vendor, and not asking for advice. But I digress Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. As I like to be TK and HWT, depending on the event; here's what I did. I have the one belt for both. I kept the screws in the belt that attaches to the holster, unattached the holster, put E-6000 in the back of the belt to hold the screws in. I then put strips of industrial strength Velcro on the inside of the belt and two leather pieces of the holster. So the holster can be worn as a TK, and removed for HWT. As for the Drop boxes, I unfastened the screws that held the boxes to the white strips, used industrial strength Velcro on the back of the drop box and front of the white strip. Attach the drop box as a TK, remove them and tuck the white strips into the armor part of the belt as a HWT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I disassembled my helmet and used painters tape along the edges. You will have minimal 'spray' around the eyes and outside the frown. 70% isopropanol alcohol will clean it up no problem. I used a cheap flat matte Black from Lowes that was $4. I did about 2 coats or so and air it out/let dry before reassembly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hey ELK, what part of OH? I'm 20 minutes East, outside of Cleveland. I got my DLT from Diamond State Props, and they did a great job. Their E-11 looks great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You're better off just saving up and getting it through Anovos Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'm glad you asked this! I'm planning on doing the same, with my AP TK/HWT. By no means am I fat or chubby, as I have a 34' waist. But I think it's because of my harness; suspenders/cargo belt system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I've done exactly that with those pads. You'll enjoy the comfort and you can actually turn your head! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm glad that this was posted! I'm seriously thinking about applying for EIB status for HWT. I might have to hold off with TK because of my Blaster, Detonator canister (have to move the clips towards the end caps). The only thing im concerned with (for both TK and HWT) is the ab/kidney space. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. And the lens are bulbous in ESB whereas they are flat in ANH Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. That's just natural weather! But I use 70% isopropyl alcohol on a cloth to clean stuff off the armor Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'm using Army tactical helmet padding that is attached to the helmet via Industrial Strength Velcro. Using Echo's fan system and attached the iComm to the plastic housing. The wiring for the microphone that I removed the headpiece that came with the Aker speaker is tucked under the fan system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Not too sure where this topic goes, so anyone in the admin group please file this topic accordingly. Currently I am a TK ANH Stunt AND TK ANH Stunt HWT (Heavy Weapons Trooper). Going over the CRL of both, it looks like I can apply for EIB status for both. Would I apply for each separately? If I apply for EIB for HWT, I would only be EIB for HWT, and not TK right? As I have to adjust my Detanator Cannister clips to the end caps, I don't necessarily need it for HWT and can still apply for EIB. And since I have a DLT-19 (resin-build from Diamond state Props), would I include this with my EIB application for HWT?
  23. TD? I'm going to suggest that you join the Heavy Weapons Troopers! We carry a different (easier and cheaper to build) combat pack, can carry the same weapons, don't have to permanently dirty the armor, and don't have to change the ab button and sniper knee pieces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Antenna. It's in the picture of the CRL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. And as for Armor type; you go according to the CRL. Mine happens to be ANH Stunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
