  1. Trooperbay does the backpack for SANDTROOPER. The combat pack for HWT is different than TD. You can get your 12qt oil drip can on Amazon for roughly $20. The boxes can be found at Dollar Tree and Walmart in the Tupperware section. Photo box for the radio at Michaels or Jo Ann Fabrics. Large pvc and caps at Lowes/Home Depot. Radio dials for the radio are (2) Gatorade caps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I purchased one last year right after I got accepted as a HWT. I'm now starting to update my armor to get EIB/ Expert Infantryman, so I'll be wanting at least 3 more. I'm trying to convince 2 others here in OH to join the cause! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm going to be working on second-level heavy weapons trooper. I am wondering if anyone here might have a middle button for the belts. That's pretty much all I need in order to apply for and hopefully get approved for second level. Would you by any chance have one or know someone that can help me out with? 4. Oh wow this looks great! Any way we can update our individual parts to these? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I've purchased both Echo and Evilboy fan systems. By far, Echo is the more powerful of the fan systems. His fans sit just behind the mic tips and pushes air into the face which helps you keep cool and prevents your lens from fogging up. Echo's are abit small and didn't really provide any circulation. Both run on AA battery Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Semper Fi brother. Marine veteran 1998 to 2007. Accepted into 501st Legion 1st Stormtrooper Detachment Ohio Garrison October 2014. If you need assistance with anything, fire the flares! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  7. I was in the same dilemma as you almost 2 years ago. I'm 5'5 at 150 pounds with a 34 waist. I went with AP because of my height and weight and the price wasn't too bad. From Authentic Props you will be getting a ANH STUNT. I paid a little extra to have it trimmed and the gloves/leather holster combo. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask questions Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  8. Although I have had my ANH TK from AP and love it, Mark Harrison is terrible with contacting you and follow through. My left shoulder strap snapped in half and being held by glue and duct tape. Ive contacted him several times; where he said I would be taken care of in afew weeks. This was FIVE MONTHS AGO. So be advised, if you need replacement parts from AP, don't expect anything anytime soon Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  9. Would it be possible to have a whole, for a possible keychain? Maybe on the barrel of the weapon the HWT is holding?
  10. Where in the order list am I currently? In the March 13 or sooner? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  11. Those are great ideas for your lens and mesh! I'm literally using white duct tape for the mesh and 2-part epoxy that I glued the eye lens, which was cut from the one sheet of lens. I definitely want to use your idea for both! Where did you get those 'clips' and what did you use to attach those 'clips'? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  12. For the Hasbro Blaster there are plenty of build threads where you will have to order Doopy Doos, add on pieces to convert the Hasbro blaster to the Stormtrooper E-11. That black one looks really good, if not acceptable for 501st Legion standards. Which is not a requirement for basic approval by the way. And the Rubies..... I'm sure there's a tutorial somewhere. That Rubies is pretty close to being the E-11, actually. Better than the Hasbro for aesthetics in my opinion Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  13. Is there a way to have the duo-pod practical? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  14. I love how you used the Marine Corps Rifle Creed! Ooh Rah! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  15. Well, it matters if you want to be approved by 501st Legion standards. So you do have to care what some people think. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  16. I've contacted Mark from Authentic props afew times already and I have to wait until he gets another batch of ABS to make Stormtrooper kits. Anyways, I ended up picking up Fiberpipe tape, which claims to be 100x stronger than Duct tape, instead of the ABS paste. Once I apply the tape and wrap the shoulder strap, will harden, and allow me to paint it white. I'll post my review status later Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  17. Icomm issue: I decided to order a replacement battery before sending it back to TK Products. I ordered it on Monday and it arrived today; roughly 2-3 to receive. Replaced the old with the new, and works like a charm! With both fans on too! Still going to put more tape behind the microphone. It was a $7.25 fix! It's alittle disappointing that the battery only lasted me about 13 months. But I'll take $7 fix over new replacement Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  18. I think I use a combination of both systems. I'm using a heavy duty cargo belt and suspenders from Lowe's. I have 2' nylon straps that hang down with butterfly clips, which then attaches to the thigh pieces. But I'm always open to other suggestions for a different system. I've been playing around with the idea of using a safety vest of sort to be worn with the chest armor/kidney plate. But we'll see Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  19. I was going to suggest the same guy. Trooperbay is another good source Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  20. I ordered the replacement battery for the iComm on Monday and should arrive by Thursday. I will post my review status then Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  21. As I was a Corporal most of the time in the Marinesand was my favorite rank while Active Duty, I went with the 'rank image' and stuck with Corporal! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  22. Does your info have to come from troopers only in California? I've been working on my Sterling here in OH. I've been able to remove the electronics from my spare Hasbro blaster, exchange the speaker and LED and install them into the Sterling. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  23. Even though I went with AP, I inventoried everything first; and then went straight to the helmet. With the helmet only being roughly 4 pieces, I thought it would be the easiest. And it was Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  24. It just so happens that my feet size are the same and I purchased and still wearing my TK boots at size 10. I've even replaced the insole. You'll be fine Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  25. I'm glad to see this discussion, although not about your shoulder strap breaking. My left shoulder strap snapped in the same area. I'm pretty sure it's the same reason; being in storage in a case during transport. I thought it was because of my radio pack (I'm also a HWT). I'll be picking up some ABS paste from Lowe's and applying that before I replace it with a new one Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
