TM's ANH Hero build[*TM]
Bone replied to troopermaster's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Err , Troopermaster Paul supplies the whole set, too , if you ask him ... -
Aaah, I see.

Yeah! Well done! Looking extremely good!

Thank you for showing this to us! Well done. Well, it may have been comissioned for the production, but looking at the trailer, it seems not for the Stormtroopers, as the material is simply not ribbed ... Or the ribbed rubber at elbows, knees and shoulders was added by the costume department and the the hips are just left shiny. That is something we couldn't see in the trailer. Still looks far from usable ... (to me, at least)

But I like the payment plan Option ... Never seen this before!

Whoa! Even my untrained eye sees that the helmet is far from acurate ...

Upper body suit measurement issues
Bone replied to Quadan's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
You could do a few things, but all of them involve some kind of sewing: 1: Pull the shirt inside out and sew a new seam along the seams on the sleeves that are already there to make them tighter. Do you have an aunt, a mother or a grandmother with a sewing machine? They should know what to do ... 2: At the wrist of the sleeves tear open the seams about an Inch, so that you can stick your thumb through the holes. With this trick the sleeve will always be pulled straight and it also make s it easier to put on your arm armor. Hope that helps ... -

ANH HERO TK lid, convert an rspropmasters stunt or
Bone replied to dark_jedi_ire's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Well, I know, that Troopermaster is up to his ears in work and that around New Year he was trying vigourously to step down and cancel some orders, but nevertheless, wait until Paul has had some time for himself and is ready to take new orders. I waited quite some time for my armor and I am still waiting for the strapping kit, but I am prepared to wait a year for any news from him, because his stuff is so goddam worth the wait! Believe me! Hero lid? Troopermaster! -
Are you talking about these? http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/album/59-the-rs-suit/

My First Bucket Build: ATA ANH Stunt Bucket

The eyes are looking pretty good. You might want to go along the trims with a bit of fine sandpaper. When the plastic foil for the eyes fits snugly, you are good to go. -
E 11 power cylinder area... Help!
Bone replied to justjoseph63's topic in General Weapons Discussion
Okay, I think you have found this one: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/17306-e-11-power-cylinders-research-thread-renamed-from-3-central-fuses/ by PlayfulWolfCub. His insight is extraordinaire concerning the power cylinders. In the thread you'll find the answer about the cloth wires (look for the member T-Jay, he sells this special wire) General rule of thumb is, if the blasters have the power cylinders, they also have the cloth coated wire (because that is the only place where you'll find them). The curly wires from two of the three tips of the hengstler counter to the power cylinders are considered canon, but are not necessary as there were too few blasters sporting them. You can add them, of course, it's up to your liking (But I have the Impression, that it is considered posh ... ). Best are cables from old electric razors, three curls, not more. Don't be too confused when you find contradicting information. Very few of the blasters were alike. In the movie you'll even find blasters without the counter or the cylinders ... If you are unsure about what the "must-haves" of a blaster are, I think you'll find some info in the CRLs ... -
Well, actually none of it should be painted in hammered finish. Obviously you can do whatever you want to, but if you take a closer look at the originals (real Sterlings and the props) you won't find any hammer finish. (Wait till Vern chimes in! ) On the other hand, there are some remarkable Blaster builds here on the FISD, that do use that paint. If you really want to go that route, spare at least the hengstler counter, the lock screw and the power cylinders. My two Cents ...

My First Bucket Build: ATA ANH Stunt Bucket
Bone replied to CommanderZel's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
If you are using a dremel on the teeth, open the holes from the inside of the bucket, not from the outside. In case you slip you will only be charring the inside ... -
Impressive! Most impressive!

Sorry, didn't know there were british ...

UK? Sskunky for ROTJ and Troopermaster for ANH.

This looks very wrong to me ... Aside from the basic shape, the opening for the head seems a bit wide, the face is set too much into the cap and the bumps on the ears look also very wrong ... (may be the photo angle) Also it is painted very badly. Too many rank stripes, the tube stripes are in the wrong place, the stripes in the rear traps are parallel and the stripes in the tears are also kinda strange. From my point of view, not a good choice. Go with a kit. Make it yourself.

Plasma Rifle (Flamethrower) Build For My ICN
Bone replied to TK-Sharp's topic in Flamethrower (Plasma Rifle)
Bloody brilliant! (And I can spot the coffee pot ) I always like completely handmade stuff as the ingenuity constantly baffles me! Cleanly executed and a joy to look at! Any video of the light effect?
