  1. Not if your are careful! Aiming is important. I managed to relief myself without a cut cod Piece and without taking off the armor. Proof of concept. (I am not from cirque du soleil ...)
  2. Try to make your calf armor really tight around your knee. That's the only thing to prevent it ... It wonder hinder your movement any more than a calf with lots of space.
  3. I like rainbows. Can we end this here and now? It gets out of control. We are plastic spacemen. Let's talk about plastic spacemen. Let's do it nicely and productive. Let's talk about trooping. Charity. Bad guys doing good. Trooper helping troopers. That's what I am here for ...
  4. ... and Eric said something in private, that is now held against him?
  5. Okay, you lost me halfway. Either someone spills the beans what all this is about or we close this thread ... All these hints and half-information is kinda making it worse.
  6. THis is freaking amazing. I have to confess, that I didn't expect too much from your project ... Boy, was I wrong! This is simply stunning! Your friend looks good in the armor and all your work really paid off! Congratulations.
  7. Troopermaster Paul supplies snaps in his strapping kit from a german Company called "PRYM". It is the back of the 15 mm snap and they are 10 mm wide. Prym obviously sells around the world, because their instructions are in 20 languages ...
  8. That's what I always thought! I were just puzzled by your answer, because Quadan asked how he can hold his cap, which is obviously separate, together with the back while gluing ...
  9. The ROTJ helmets were in three parts? Cap, Back and faceplate? Didn't know ...
  10. Magnets and tape. But you don't need to open a new thread for every question. Keep it all in one thread, so we can follow your build a lot better. It won't get missed ...
  11. Everything is included. Really everything. You don't need to buy anything else. Trust me. I was blown away, when I received it. The package is very small, but it' all in there. Rivets, split rivets, pop rivets, screws, different elastics for all parts, screws, snaps, brackets, loops. And although Paul knew that my helmet was already done, he even included the screws, rivets and chin strip for the bucket, too. And, oh, btw, the snaps are already sewn to the elastics, the loops for the brackets and the thighs are sewn and you get a handy tool for the snaps you have to place yourself. No brainer ...
  13. Kudos from a german for that one!
  14. Yeeehaa! Finally another TM! Where are all those TM armors? This looks so sweet and friggin' perfect, I am nearly drooling ... Should be an easy pass! Well done! (And I learned something new!) BTW, did you use Pauls strapping kit?
  15. What material is your holster made of? Perhaps it is just not sturdy enough? I have a troopermaster holster that is so stiff, you could bang a nail in a wall with it ...
  16. That grippy pad and the fingernails are accurate. The gloves are NOT smooth.
  17. Err, Dave ... this is your third thread with the same subject ... Yes, the return edge around the right eye seems to be pretty narrow, but it would be a good idea to post a photo of the front, preferably with you holding the green plastic of the visor behind it. Like Gazmosis said in the other thread, could be the right thickness after all and you just have to shave off the same amount of plastic from the left eye and you are all good ... The return edge around the eyes isn't that deep after all. And use the sanding wheel with the dremel, not the cutting disk. Perhaps even mark your cutting lines with a soft pencil, so you can judge by yourself before you start cutting next time. Or even better, mark your cutting lines and post a photo.
  18. I carry my nick since first grade, that would be forty years now ... Good god, really? I was as thin as a beanstalk, so i was called "bohne", which means "bean" in german (like Tex "bean" Avery, famous cartoon director). When I entered universty I dropped the "h", for whatever reason. I sign my work with that name. And, yes, I have heard all the funny english variations of bone ... I am known as bone to friends and family and also my mother uses that nick. Only exception are my wife and daughters. Being a graphic- and comic artist, it is quite useful to have an uncommon name that sticks. So, no skulls and bones, more of a vegetable.
  19. Hey Eliza, teeth are looking good. What are you going to do with the surplus teeth to make it a hero? ABS paste or heat?
  20. Yes, sounds weird, but that's screen accurate ...
  21. Actually I (completely ignoring the danger of getting kicked) would vote for TKs with a pauldron. It just looks so darn cool ... (And I don't understand the fuzz about it. If it's a non-Canon Event, everybody and his brother can wear pauldrons.)
  22. It would be great, if you could post your height and your weight, so that the more experienced TKs can give advice. First of all, decide which type of of armor it should be. You said, you want it to look like the real Thing. "A new hope" Style of armor, or more "return of the Jedi"? Are you tall, Slim, short? Tell us something about yourself and we can offer suggestions. Oh, and by the way, welcome to the White Zone!
  23. Forgive me if this sounds silly, but did you just google "doopy doo"? When you are on their website, Don't be taken aback by the "care bears" ...
Ansonsten guckst Du hier: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/16-ongoing-sales-project-orders/
