  1. The latest version of the XIAOKOA microphone is a lot nicer as it makes it more obvious which direction the actual mic input is facing. The older models just had round covers making it hard to tell whether it was facing your mouth or picking up all the noise around you.
  2. Your best option depends on how much you want to pay. The TRamp system is a high quality all-in-one that includes all the bells and whistles but it's more expensive than other options. I've personally gotten along just fine with just a wireless mic and an Aker amp. Weigh the features you want against the prices of the different systems to decide what's best for you.
  3. The 2.4 BT wireless mics are cheap and pretty decent but I replaced mine with a UHF mic for only slightly more. The sound is cleaner and less prone to sync issues with other mic systems.
  4. Go wireless. Amazon has numerous options for wireless mics that only run around $30. I removed the head band from mine and velcro'd it to the inside.
  5. I use this mic and it's great, if a bit cheaply constructed. The USB charging port on my receiver popped off the circuit board but that should be a matter of just reattaching it with some adhesive. For $30 I can't complain too much though. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

  7. I have the Ixradio dual transponder throat mic and after figuring out the sweet spot, it works almost flawlessly. I had to raise it a little higher on my neck, just below the jaw, to make it work consistently. I definitely like not having to run wires up into my bucket or deal with the mic getting pushed around.
  8. Hi Francois, I sent a message through the Contact Us page on the website but I've heard nothing back. Is there another way to make an order?
  9. Nice! I did something similar because velcro wasn't doing it for me either. My zipper's just a bit longer going down into the bib in order to allow it to open wider. ----------
  10. Cool, thanks for the answers! Time in the rain ended up being fairly minimal and my jacket hood was able to cover it up outside. At least now I know I don't have to worry too much.
  11. This may be a silly question but I want to be sure. I just finished my TK bucket and was going to wear it to Denver Comic Con, but Denver has been getting dumped on lately and I'll be relying on public transportation and walking. Is it more or less safe to wear if it will potentially get really wet?
  12. I used 1.25" though I had to do some trimming to get the muzzle and end cap to fit. The Doopy's kit is designed for 40mm, I believe, but either American PVC is thicker or the kit is meant to be used with metal pipe.
  13. Are TKBoots back in production? Every time I've e-mailed them they've said they still don't like their suppliers and they don't know when more will be available.
  14. Many people have suggested using plastic rake tines that you can find at Home Depot or Lowes. That's what I'm using on my build at the moment and I included some of the details in my build thread that could be useful.
