And today was marching in full armor Twi'liks in full makeup, the band dressed like officers, and George Lucas graced us with his presence for photos. Can't *wait* to see how they turn out.

Jared & Dennis - you guys should be squared away. Footage from the TOR practices is already airing down here in the LA area, as well as being in the papers. Carlos is actually a flag bearer and I'm in the second company in the front rank, so we should be visible. Unless they change our order tomorrow...

We're noticing here in the TOR practices that people with very padded helmets are feeling hotter than those with empty buckets, and one person I know is removing pads to aid airflow. Not quite on topic per se, but it is body temperature regulatory in nature

A very happy holidays to everyone, and my gratitude for all your help in assistance in making FISD such an excellent resource for all things stormtrooper related, and most especially as a place where TK's can come and share their passion for their costume.

The idea that they're rank stripes is something that post-dates the movies - at the time they were being filmed they weren't indicative of anything. Heck, even the number of tube stripes is not consistent from trooper to trooper. To be honest, I don't think the number has ever been correlated, nor officially established that this is what they are.

Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Belay that - I transposed two digits when looking up your 501st record. Identity confirmed, you may enter... Converting from a proper TK to TD and back again can be a bit of a journey. I highly recommend dedicated costumes for each to maintain maximum availability. ;-)

I would think so. Unless you have some serious assembly skills anyway. Buckets are pretty easy to screw up and are unforgiving of mistakes. Both my TE helmets and my AP came this way.

Which headset did you end up using? I tried a few from Radio Shack, but neither worked very well. Also, is yours mounted in the bucket or do you wear it freestyle like your avatar?

There are some good hi-res screen caps now that should help, esp. with the dimensions of the box compared to the belt. You can also go ala Luke & ditch the 02 & wear it with a comlink. Amen. It will be great for people to have more options on how they configure their kit

If you have an ANH style holster, the answer is I don't believe you can, which is probably why all the ANH TK's had the holster on the left, and ESB is on the right. You'll need an ESB or ROTJ E-11 to do what you want to do, which should be fine since you'll probably want your blaster to match the style of your armor.

Bubbles are fine if you're doing an ANH hero style helmet. They look cool but really do limit your vision, so unless you're trying to replicate that helmet I'd stick to flat lenses.
