  1. uhm... nope... that was when you look old and want to look younger I'll do it when I get 30! (kiddin')
  2. my ID 8010 is year and month of my birth, I had a couple of other choices but they all were taken. I dont use that number often, not in boardnames or mailadresses. I've got a nickname for those occasions *lol*
  3. *lol* at least that is a problem that will solve itself
  4. as long as I wear something my boss is fine *lol* in the IT department where I work we dont have a dresscode. Jeans and shirt mainly... if I feel like wearing a skirt then my guys here ask me what happened. the guys of the logistic dept at the other end of the building have to wear shirt'n'Tie
  5. a Stromtrooper with a Lightsaber??? you're not serious about that one, right? I'm sorry but not everything that can be done must have to be done!
  6. turning 28 in october... though I look older in the mornings, especially after a after-troop-party about 1 1/2 years left until I'll jump right into my midlife-crisis *heehee*
  7. congratulations from my side as well
  8. Seems that we'll be in the US in June. we plan to stay in Orlando at the end of June. No armor in the suitcase but maybe there will be a possibility to hang out with some 501st-ers there
  9. Interesting question... in my case it is easy to answer: give me hand made music and I'm happy. Guitar, Bass, drums/percussion and a singer and the chance is pretty good that I'll like it I dont have a sense for Techno and Hip Hop, not my style. I listened to a lot of Rock/Metal as well as Medieval Style music... and since I was in Vegas last may (Harrah's hotel, 1st floor *lol*) I quite dig country music.
  10. this discussion is very interesting as it shows how different "the world" handles weapons *lol* over here you need a license to carry and own weapons that is not easy to get. you either have to be police/military or licensed hunter and then you can apply for a weaponslicense (german word is Waffenschein). It is only granted for 3 years then you have to apply again. it is not that easy to get that license, I personally only know 1 person who got that license. When I go to events where I want to carry my blaster then it is in the box or in a closed backpack. Usually we check with the organiser if we can carry the blasters openly or if we need to keep them holstered in costume it is pretty obvious that it is not a "real" weapon. Airsofts have been forbidden until a couple of years ago. Now it is allowed to sell them if they have more than 0,5 and less than 7,5 Joule and if the buyer is older than 18. it is allowed to own and transport them but not if they are ready to shoot and if you are in public. only semi-automatics are allowed... quite complicated *lol* I for my part am happy that not everyone can buy a weapon! If I knew that every nerd can buy a weapon in a store... *help*

    DVD interest list

uhm... I admit that I didnt read any of the T*E versus GINO threads as I have enough bitching and catfights in real life but the DVD-title made me curious. 150 bucks for a couple of pictures?? I'm sorry, seeing how long I have to work to get 150$ then I have to say: never. In the end it is a couple of pics where I have no idea what they show. There was a teaser pic that I found when searching this boards for WTF that DVD could be about. Yay.. a shelf of plastic parts, obviously troopers, but nothing that really makes me drool. I'm not that crazy about the whole "mine is more authentic than yours", but I wondered why people were freaking out about it *lol* I agree with your line "dont like it, dont buy it", true enough. I wont buy it because it would make more sense to spend 150$ on the next costume or into an upgrade of mine. If you want this DVD to be an advertising for your work, fine, but then it is way to much.. if people spent that money for the DVD to see what they get then they may lack the money when they want to buy the armor finally. or do they get a 150$ discount when they finally buy one of your armors? if producing a DVD costs 20$ and you get 150 for one then you earn 130.. that is quite much. and if I got it right then there are pics of the archieves in there as well? do you have the OK by LFL to sell them?
  12. great work there!! If I had kids I'd surely get them some armor
  13. *muahaha* think you can add me without me noticing it?? never ;) Zeit für Rache ;)

  14. the only kids/minors that troop with us are the kids of the members. We have some Events (for example in Parks/Cons) that are open for costumed visitors, but those visitors are in no way related to us and we have no responsibility for them. Best is to check with your local garrison if they have such Events.
