  1. Ian - you're already set. Hey - did you ever live in Washington state? I used to know an Ian Wilkinson who did... Tracy - you're set! Brian - you're already correctly listed as a 501st member.
  2. It's definitely a lot more work - and I put in some hours of my own. However the end result is stunning, to say the least. Wyatt's skills are *amazing* - many parts were formed with a heat gun to improve their look. It's damn near perfect.
  3. The TD (FX with AP bucket). My TK is 100% TE2, which is almost ready for it's debut.
  4. Some pix - here is my ab plate (FX) Looking at the right side (chest & back) Upper Back plate To size the straps, I make them extra long and shorten with a safety pin. Each troop I adjust it a bit, and when it's the perfect length I either leave it alone or create a new strap of that length.
  5. Moved the build thread to here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=673
  6. All set Francois-Xavier. All: any future requests must include a link to your 501st account per the first post in this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=16 Any request w/o this link will be ignored.
  7. I don't have a problem with it on this forum, but I do on CTN and it's the same forum software. V'Pier - thoughts?
  8. We did a test fitting last weekend. Most everything is good, just tweaks left. I asked Wyatt to see what he can do with snaps. My efforts at making them with styrene failed as the spare material I had was too soft to take the snap. I'm pretty confidant it will see action my next troop. The big hold-up is just getting time - the final adjustments take two people (e.g. myself to hold the part, him to measure) - and my free time on weekends has been pretty slim.
  9. Don't know about forcepike, but MEPD is open to everyone. I'd contact the site admins if you can't see the boards.
  10. Get 'em while they're young! My wife *hates* this hobby - my only hope is to ensure my kids are appropriately brainwashed to follow in their father's footsteps. It is their destiny! :vader1:
  11. Here is the only shot I have that I can easily find:
  12. Some people are good enough with an exacto blade that they can score & snap. I never seem to get that right so I use a dremel. At first I was bad at it, then I discovered the Diamond Cutoff wheel. It's been working very well for me. Check out: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php...=dremel+diamond
  13. I use a snap system on my FX armor and it's fantastic. Takes me just a few minutes to put the armor on/off, they never pop, I never have to adjust them, and they never get tangled with each other like velcro. I tried doing snaps for my TE2 suit but the plastic is a bit softer and I'm not sure it can take the strain. Also, I'm having a hard time making snap plates with styrene. So... 1) Has anyone ever put a snap system on their TE/TE2? If so, which method did you use? 2) Can you mix/match plastics, e.g. use an ABS snap plate on HIPS armor? Lastly, if you're not doing snaps, what can I do besides velcro? I've seen one neat system where they basically used a strapping system but instead of snaps, the bases have a resistance slot where you can put a strap through. Thoughts? The armor's pretty much done, just need to get the strapping system figured out.
  14. Outstanding collection! Buy them now while you're single. If your spending habits don't get cut severely after marriage, they certainly will after kids.
  15. Be careful guys. There's resin and there's resin. Most resin weapons are very easily chipped and broken and don't hold up very well. I'm not sure what Tony's making his out of, but they're pretty indestructible. It will pay off in the long run to get either his or a hyperfirm. At some point you or someone else will drop it - if it can't survive that it's not worth buying, IMHO.
  16. Gotcha covered Ricky! From here on out though, any request w/o a link to the appropriate 501st record will be ignored.
  17. Oooh! Now that would be worth pissing off the wife to buy.
  18. Rest assured guys, V'Pier is working on even more tweaks, and there are some things that do need changing. This was a very significant upgrade to the code base forcing us to lose our template and start from scratch, and the fact that it come off so well is a credit to V'Piers expertise.
