  1. As Germain says, you really need to tape them up in approximate position and have your arm straight to make an real informed decision. You can see here forearm is basically touching the bicep in all cases (hmmm, better go re-check mine)
  2. Following..... Have you decided how you're going to fix the parts on the metal pipe? (That's ok, I'll wait for the reveal. I won't be starting my kit for another month or so).
  3. Yeah, I don't think there are any written measurements anywhere. There are threads that mention the 10/13 rule that Germain talks about, but the CRL has been 45 degrees for a while now. Just eyeball it around the 10mm mark.
  4. Looks good. Are you going to give it any weathering, or newly issued from the empire?
  5. 2mm!! That terrible. You may as well throw the whole armor out. Seriously, I had to look hard to see where that 2mm could possibly be. Don't worry about it. Looking good!
  6. Thanks Paul. My CO is waiting for our GML to get back from leave before giving me the nod. I re-trimmed the biceps, forearms, and have also just retrimmed the thighs a little too. He doesn't think there's any issues now. More pics (in better light) to come with those couple of mods.
  7. therpf.com is good for that. There is a specific Star Wars section where someone is building a 1:1 Millenium Falcon cockpit. But I reckon you should share here too!
  8. So the next question, as Eric mentions in this build thread, is do you make an allowance for people who have already started their builds by a certain date - the introduction date perhaps, that they fall under the old CRL's and don't have to comply with the new change? Something for the detachment staff to discuss with their buckets off?
  9. If that's the case, do you make an allowance for anyone who has started a build thread prior to the requirement coming in? (Although I don't think Tim's build thread is the place this should be getting discussed )
  10. Coming along Tim. A couple of observations. Is that your undersuit? It looks quite large around your chest, shoulders and arms which in turn makes it hard to see what the true fit on you is like. Also on that, the black on black in those last two shots also make it hard to see where things are so makes it hard to offer any suggestions. It looks like you need to rotate your biceps around more. And lastly, no point hiding your face. You can't stay anonymous as you need a bucket off shot when you apply for approval.
  11. Looking good Twan. More of a fitment issue, can you raise that right thigh up a bit. There's a big difference between the two in that rear shot.
  12. Looks really effective. Nicely done.
  13. I'm against the change, but I made the change anyway and it was easy. Looks rubbish with the armor on the floor, but with the MTK armor you can't see it when it's being worn. I'll post pics if you need 'proof'.
  14. iPad! Blood will just wipe straight off
  15. Just keep on building, keep on building.... BTW, I have a FC in my delorean, but it's not set up for air/space travel yet so I wouldn't be able to get it to the States for you. Sorry mate.
  16. Looking good Steve. It does just seem to plod along slowly, then all of a sudden, Bam, finished! You're nearly there. Bummer on the shins, but I hear ya. I have little chicken legs and they only just fit me. (I went for screen accurate hooks, but after my first troop will be changing to Velcro. (Did not seen very practical at all).
  17. Looking good Tim. What prevents the selector switch from falling out?
  18. Good luck to anyone trying to find a fault with any of that. Well done Jason!
  19. You're not going to paint the tube stripes with a vision for future Centurion status? Trooperbay's stencils are jus as easy to work with
  20. The powers to be will be most pleased Mike. It appears that the Detachment Staff are fighting amongst themselves, whether it should be there or not, and for what level of approval I had my first troop on the weekend at the local Lego Expo. Went really well. As expected you can't see the notch behind the belt, so no big deal either way. A few adjustments to the arms. I took everyone's advice and re trimmed the biceps and forearms. Pics to come. Thanks for the comments Steve!
  21. No, leave them as is
  22. Not these guys? http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27922-troop-report-from-vegas/
