  1. You drive on the left. Although half of us drive on the right, so that probably doesn't help much. Seriously though, there are plenty of tutorials in the Hard Armor section that discusses most. If you can't find them (ie: I don't have time to look now), post a specific question and we'll chime in here.
  2. Good start. I'd square off those teeth a bit more though
  3. Welcome to the FISD Veers. Plenty of good help here, if needed
  4. Haha, how could you know me so well? But seriously, I did. Just got stuck into the helmet, and the rest followed.
  5. Noooo. Get stuck into the helmet. Once you've mastered that, anything else is easy! What kit have you got there?
  6. Excellent! Wasn't sure it was my place to do so. Glad you did
  7. Yeah, it was only changed in the last day or so. I'm in the same boat - brackets are right in the way of the cut out. I think the only way you could fix it is to move the brackets and ABS paste the holes over. Mine are glued in. Not sure which is easier/harder
  8. Hey Steve, In order of ease: 1. Dremel, or angle grinder with cutting wheel 2. Hack Saw 3. File 4. Sand paper (could be a bit hard) It won't affect any approval. It's just not 100% accurate. So perhaps just keep it in mind next time you catch up with some Garrison buddies that might help you out. (or a basic hack saw is probably only $2- to $3- from a hardware store.) It's only the ends, like your pic below: To squared off ends like the screen used one below.
  9. Hey Chuck. Coming along nicely.... Here's a good thread http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26886-split-rivet-placement/ that discusses the split rivets that Ron mentioned. Unfortunately the lower rivet shouldn't be in the 'cod' area. Helmet - can you line up where your ears go, then just make sure the cut line you drew is under them. That is most important. And the bottom of the helmet (opening) - I wouldn't worry about that until it was all screwed/riveted together. You might need extra material later.
  10. Is there an allowance depending on when you started building your armor? Mine didn't come with those check outs, now I've built mine so there's is a smooth transition between butt and kidney as is.
  11. Looks cool . I'm thinking of an Iron Man (after my Stormtrooper, oh, and after my Snowtrooper )
  12. That's going to come up great!
  13. What do you want to "practise" and "tinker" with? Considering it's so called complete, there would be nothing to do other than adjust straps to your size. Better off starting from scratch with a known maker. You can get complete, new kits for that $$
  14. See if you can take that rounded edge of the TD brackets. As mentioned in another thread, they're not really screen accurate with rounded ends. They should be square with perhaps just the sharp corner taken off.
  15. Was it before? Or did I look at 2 and comment on the wrong one? Oh well....
  16. You'll probably get more views, and therefore help, if you ask for your thread to be moved to the build threads section http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/
  17. Lookin shiny Ron! Are your biceps connected any way? They've rotated around a bit in those pics. Obviously rotate them back for new approval pics, but you might want to consider some strapping.
  18. Thanks. I couldn't tell from your videos. (And you've changed your name back!?)
  19. HELP!! Are shins meant to look like this? I've gone for the original elastic/hook method, and there just seems to be a huge gap. But I guess, the elastic is there, the hook is there, the cover strip is there, the holes in the shin are there. Is there anything I've missed or done wrong, or is that just the way it is. The only real photo reference I can find is this, which could appear to be a fair gap too.
  20. You could certainly bring them in off the end caps a bit. Current CRL say "little to no gap". The old CRL used to say 3mm. Left hand side of this one is even more. I would square off the ends a bit too, if not too late. Also, if you want to or need to trim your pipe, remember the ends will be covered by the caps, so any old hacksaw / timber saw / dremel or rough cut will do.
  21. They're stuck to your ceiling
  22. Looks great! So that's just white glue, then paint over the foam?
  23. Looks awesome! To the uneducated, embarrassed to ask on therpf, are there any makers of iron man suits, like we have TK makers? Or are they all foam or paper built with Bondo, fibreglass on top? No one doing ABS pulls ready from trimming and painting?
  24. You've started now. May as well continue Good luck and enjoy the build!
