  1. That sucks. Hope you feel better soon.
  2. I just bought a pair of CABoots. On their website they said that they will be making them again in late spring. Yay!
  3. No way does it make you look like a fool. These are awesome. Thanks for taking the time to film these.
  4. Someone suggested putting a tapered wire brush on a dremel and scrubbing it off. I haven't tried that yet. Sounds promising.
  5. Chemistry in action! Thanks for the tip. That's awesome.
  6. It's beautiful thing to be young and durable.
  7. That's what I did. I soldered to one positive battery terminal on the back side of the board and and then the negative directly to the copper on the board. I think I'm going to put a drop of hot glue on there to keep the wires from breaking off.
  8. That's great! You guys did a great job getting that together. Thanks!
  9. Windy! I just saw a cow fly past the front window!
  10. That's cool Chuck. I'd like to order a speeder bike with the magic levitation feature.
  11. That's pretty cool. 32 cm. Yeah, I did build the little one. I bet it wasn't even 20 cm. At the time I scratch built a little speeder that I attached with a wire. Looked like it was wrapping a cable around the legs. Now I want to build another one.
  12. that might have been a good angle to shoot. The large area is the negative. I scraped off the emulsion with an exacto to clear a spot to solder. The tiny trace is the far left peg of the positive terminal. Looks like I'm going to have to clean up those connections. I don't think their gonna last. Last time I let my monkey use the soldering iron.
  13. Ok here are the big guns. I thought I would see if anybody was interested in these before I threw them up on EBay. Size 13 DanH2O boots. Never trooped in, Only worn briefly around the house. I paid $60 for them. They're yours for just $45 shipped in the USA. If you are abroad I'll have to check rates. ------- You know what they say, "Big feet, big hands." "Big boots, big gloves."
  14. That sure brings back memories. I think I built that kit in 1981. Nice work.
  15. Here's mine, I cut off the battery contact portion of the circuit board and soldered a 9V clip on connector. It made it a little more compact. Shortened the mic cable and replaced the single speaker with a couple of Hovi sized speakers. I shortened a couple of film canisters with a hole cut in the bottom to add a little air space behind the speakers and insulate them from the mic. Works great! With full volume I have no feedback. Forgive the inside of the helmet. It's a work in progress. ---------- ---------
  16. Well I scored a vintage Major Matt Mason action figure for $3.00 and a really nice $1200 vacuum pump for $60.
  17. A good option is swiping the pads from a youth baseball helmet from walmart. They make it nice and comfy as well as snug. They are easily trimmed for a custom fit.
  18. If you're having problems with support why not make a hybrid belt? My canvas belt has a 2 inch nylon belt inside and an ABS strip reinforcement at the holster attachment. You could easily wrap a leather belt with canvas and sew the edges as another option. Everything I've seen in the reference is canvas.
  19. I have a feeling that it is going to become a cult classic. Patience young Padawan.
  20. Cool! 10 more cities on Feb. 20th. 1. Boston 2. Washington DC 3. Detroit 4. Atlanta 5. Denver 6. New Haven 7. Orlando 8. Phoenix 9. Columbus, OH 10. Raleigh , NC
  21. I didn't miss it. I was drooling and forgot to snap a picture.
