  1. I've got three of those this week from an Elizabeth something or other in Africa. On another note. Watch your credit guys. Identity theft is at an all time high right now. I just found an unauthorized charge on my credit card.
  2. Hey Smitty, Sorry to hear about your Dog. Congrats on the full time family. Take care.
  3. How long have you had that toy? 3 or 4 seasons huh? Ok, move along.........move along. Thanks Doug!
  4. Thanks Thayne, I really appreciate the hospitality you and your garrison mates showed me. It was really fun. I think I'll take you up on that offer.
  5. Hi Daniel! It was awesome meeting you too. It was for a good cause and fun too. What are you talking about? Height disadvantage? Seems like a special opps advantage to me. Have you ever smacked your forehead on a ceiling support while rushing in on an enemy? Also I'm 36.5% more likely to pick up a stray blaster shot. Now that's a height disadvantage.
  6. TK 8776 reporting in. I had my first troop today! I attended the MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) 5K Walk in Sacramento CA with the Central California Garrison. Our good buddy Thayne was kind enough to take pity on me and invite me to troop with them. Currently I'm the only 501st member in northern Nevada. My Garrison is 8.5 hours drive from where I live near Reno. All the great people who trooped at the event were fantastic. They really made me feel at home. We had a blast interacting with all the attendees. The mood at the event was surprisingly upbeat considering many of them had lost loved ones to drunk driving accidents. I learned that everyday 46 people die in drunk driving accidents in the U.S. Amazing. We posed for tons of photos and passed out lots of high fives to excited little kids. Played with the California Highway patrol and scoped out a 7 foot chicken with possible ties to the Rebel Alliance. He was suspiciously collaborating with a couple of large insects. After intensive investigation they turned out just to be goofy looking so we had to let them go. At least that's the official report. The armor held up pretty well. Only one minor malfunction. I did, however, collect a long list of modifications that I want to make. Great troop!
  7. That's awesome Paul. That's a troop of a lifetime. I guess you fared pretty well in customs. Did they give you any grief?
  8. I'm glad I'm not that busy this week. I'm still on vacation. I spent the last two days working on my vacuum form table. Tomorrow I get to plug it in for the first time. I'm really enjoying the slow down.
  9. Nice job. Are you using a beading foot? I was about to do the same thing. My beading foot arrived in the mail and then I broke the darn sewing machine. Project on hold til a new sewing machine falls out of the sky into my lap.
  10. That's not a vein. She's pissed because one of those rowdy kids drew on her with a bic.
  11. Nice job! Great pictures. One of these days I'm going to jump into a TD set. Thanks for sharing.
  12. What's the world coming to? Today's youth. They must not be getting kicked in the rear enough.
  13. Pretty funny. Rubies should be ashamed of themselves. How in the heck did that get through licensing?
  14. Leave the mini plug on, strip the wires and solder the hovi's to the wires. Be sure to insulate the solder joints from each other. I used shrink tubing. Also be sure to isolate the back of the hovi speakers from the mic. I used some old film canisters to create a sealed chamber behind the hovi's. You will get better frequency response from the speakers and it will eliminate the feedback. See my earlier post in in this thread.
  15. "Goof Off" or 3M adhesive remover. Better known as bestine rubber cement thinner. Good luck with the removal.
