  1. I suppose you could use a 4-40 cap screw. Remove the slide. Drill a hole for the 4-40 though the slide where it needs to mount. Drill and tap the bolt handle. Then drill an access hole on the opposite side of the slide so you can stick the cap screw through on the end of an Allen wrench. tighten and enjoy.
  2. I will slit my wrists in the theater if it turns out Rubies was called in to supply the armor. Now I'm scared.
  3. I just ordered one. Been looking for something like this. Thanks for posting about it.
  4. Great article. Thanks for sharing.
  5. That looks real clean. With the brow trim installed it will look perfect. Great job.
  6. Yep, the eyes are the window to the soul. They've got to get rid of those sad puppy dog eyes. Good job Arturo.
  7. It would be hard to top a lot of these. I think the Rubies, being a licensed product, takes the cake.
  8. Hilarious! I loved that CD-Rom. Still have it somewhere.
  9. Congrats Lucas!
  10. Congratulations Chuck!
  11. Thanks Thayne. When I get back from vacation I'm going to get serious about a run.
  12. This is my first prototype. I'm still working out the details of cost and construction. I'd like to keep the price under $50. Other details I'm working out is the finish. Right now, from the picks you can see that it is pretty flat. That's because of the texture. The material has the potential to be more glossy. I'm thinking about making another master out of a different material that will be smoother and more glossy.
  13. Don't let me derail the review. Comments are welcome.
  14. Awesome video. The world needs more of that. Thanks for doing what you do Guys.
  15. Hey Lucas, thanks for writing this review. It will be fun to see what you do with it. I'm currently working on drape options and possibly a terrycloth liner. It doesn't really need it but it would sure add some luxury. I just finished my first troop with it and it worked great. I used it without a drape since my under armor has a 1 inch collar. Snap it on and go. A little info about it, It's made of flexible Urethane foam. Here's some pics of it in action. I'll be offering a run of these real soon. Perhaps a fully assembled version and a kit like Lucas is testing. Stay tuned.
  16. Ah, got it. Thanks. They could have used a few tubes of Devcon back then. Looks a little labor intensive.
  17. That looks great! Better watch out for that force lightening. I here it's pretty dangerous for you guys.
  18. What brackets are you Guys talking about? is this a belt thing?
  19. Nice promotion pic. You look awesome. I've been waiting for a book like this forever. It's a shame it's completely out of the question price wise.
  20. Interesting topic. I've been working on something similar for several months. I was just about to unleash it to see if there was any interest. It's made from a durable foam rubber. I plan on lining it with terry cloth and adding a skirt. The most unique feature is the rare earth magnet zipper. Here's my prototype minus the drape and lining. I'll be posting the interest thread in a few days.
  21. What am I missing.
  22. ABS ATA looks like nice armor. Thanks for sharing your build.
