  1. Perfect Dan Thanks for posting this link. Looks like all sounds are stored on the 128 MB micro SD card. Anybody having an idea, if the sounds are customizable/interchangeable?
  2. The TRamp BlastFX seems like a good choice for your blaster. Thank you for sharing this product with us in such a detailed way. Any chance to possibly (some day) get a little video clip of steps 2 to 6 from the instructions below? Really curious to see those changes in the display.
  3. Keeping fingers crossed for your planned progress next weekend. Guessing we can expect another nice update in a few days?!
  4. What a great start into 2018! Absolutely outstanding work! Congratulations for recreating the first fully operational magazine well from resin. Man, that modification raises the bar one more time. Oh, and I had a good laugh seeing that photo with the LEGO minifigure. It reminded me of something. Emmet has done a good job on the trigger guard.
  5. Perfect shape of the part and that knurling pattern looks spot on, Chris. Just wondering, do you have a reference for the pattern covering the same area on front and rear side of that piece? And that ring on the bottom, is that a mounting hole?
  6. Would order the blaster just like you did (only with black paint), then clean it up and install as much items from a completion set as possible. Then weathering and done. Well, at least that was what I intended to do a while ago, when I was on the fence to order a rubber E-11 from Praetorian Blasters. Wanted something light-weighted for my mannequin to hold and thought a rubber blaster would be a good choice in case it accidentally drops on the floor. But that rubber thing was even more heavy so no good for my purpose...
  7. Never got to hold a rubber blaster but since looking at such photos, I am wondering if these blasters can be cleaned up a bit. You mentioned to try it with an exacto knife - exactly what I had in mind. And maybe drilling into the venting holes on the receiver tube. Depending on the material, it might also be possible to add a few screws here and there. Uh, getting carried away... However, I would highly appreciate if you could update us on your cleanup progress. May I ask for the weight of this particular blaster? Just asking because the E-11 from Praetorian Blasters has a heavier weight than the common resin builds.
  8. Exactly what Mike just said. And it would break my heart to paint this masterpiece black - but I guess we have to...
  9. These two pieces are not that accurate in this blaster kit. On a real Sterling both of them have the exact same shape, are a lot thinner and installed in a different angle. I guess DoopyDoo's have modified theirs for stability or trooping purpose. The good thing is, you get a bigger surface for glueing. Regarding the gap to the front sight cage: Looks like this got reduced by enhancing the ends with green stuff. As the same has been done on your ejector port guard, I would suggest to just leave it as it is now. Not worth risking to damage or break them - unless you want every part of your build to be as accurate as possible. But then there are still the wrong thickness and angles. I wouldn't mind...
  10. Wow! When I saw that first picture, I was S H O C K E D. A radical approach - but it worked. Congrats on this one.
  11. Following this thread with great interest. Haven't yet made up my mind, but it sounds like a nice idea with good arguments on both sides. Some people want this, while others do not. To me, it would make sense to get an overview first. Why not let the community decide on this? Maybe raise awareness in a future newsletter with a link to a voting-thread and then wait what the people on this board prefer. When there is a result, the next steps can be taken - and there are a lot: different E-11 versions, different detachments using E-11, different types of materials like steel, aluminum, resin, plastic, rubber and each has it's own characteristics. Not an easy task - but a nice idea.
  12. Keeping fingers crossed for your next level...
  13. Congratulations on receiving the EIB status, Dan - and sorry for being late to the party. The last weeks must have been pretty eventful for you... Wishing you a lot of fun with that armor and happy trooping.
  14. Congrats on getting this nice piece. It will surely make a great addition to your build. At the end of this chapter you can find a way to install it on your full resin blaster.
  15. Very good Tom. The thin area in the middle of the backplate (where it gets close to the 3 central capacitors) is always a bit tricky. But you still have the option to fill that with green stuff before painting. Power cylinders looking good already.
  16. Thanks for the praise, Jesse. But please stop calling me master. There are so many talented members on this board - just look at your latest update. THIS is a masterpiece! Hats off to your work. Regarding the update for the blaster reference, I am still waiting for Danny (Ripper_L) to add the misssing content. He seems to be very busy. Maybe I will look for a workaround to bring those things online for the builders...
  17. Congratulations on your BBB day - and the latest build progress. I like what you have done with your power cylinders. Why not giving it that final touch and shaping the backplate to type A? It's not too late.
  18. What a monster update, Jesse! I am totally blown away. Simply clicking that "like" button, just isn't enough for THIS effort you went through. Man, I am out of words. Your work raises the bar for this particular resin piece one more time - and we all know, this got difficult during the last years. Never say never, it has been done again. And I think you want to keep me busy with updating the FISD E-11 Blaster Reference, heh? To me it looks like you just posted another addition for it. You truely deserve that contributor ribbon in your signature.
  19. Superb work on the end cap and ring holder. Not sure if that small grub screw in the front sight is always on the right side, as I understood this block to be removable. That being said, I guess you can insert it the other way, too. Maybe someone with a real Sterling chimes in to enlighten us...
  20. This is by far one of the best blaster builds with electronics that I have seen since ages... Biggest respect, Pawel!
  21. WHAT??? Just checked it and except of one broken link, everything seems to work. Maybe it was just an issue with browsing via phone. Anyway, that PDF file is the most important thing. The broken link belongs to my "HOWTO make your power cylinders more accurate" tutorial, which seems to got lost in the recent forum upgrade. Cannot find it since then... Thanks for keeping him covered so fast.
  22. Tino Jacobs 61276 Centurion #361 A4 Tony Thanks in advance Joseph. I love this board My pleasure, brother, and congrats! http://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/61276-centurion.png
  23. Thanks for the flowers - but come on guys, you make me blush. There are many people on FISD, knowing how to build good blasters. Please do not put me on that pedestal. I am just happy that this blaster can keep up with that very cool TM armor. A new scope with lenses? That would finally bring your blaster to 100%. Got you covered, mate. Ready when you are...
  24. Thank you very much for both Tony, the approval for Centurion and the birthday wishes. Don't worry about being a day earlier - THIS already is the best present I can think of. Thanks Dan - and send some birthday wishes to your wife, too - from the unknown guy, who kept you busy with your blaster build (hoping she doesn't mind) Thank you Patrick. Very glad it all worked well. Also many thanks for your assistance in setting up the EIB and Centurion approval threads. I really appreciate this and the good relationship we meanwhile have. Cannot wait for our next troop and for looking identically - well, except for your shiny white armor seeming to come straight from the Galactic Academy. No battle damages or what? Take care, mate. And see you next week. Thanks for your trust in me. If your armor build will be on the same level as your blaster build, you will soon get those badges too. That is for sure. Thank you Shane. Glad to finally be here. It took far too long (was distracted by some blasters and the idea, to only build a static TK display ). Looking forward to many events in my area now and in the future...
