  1. Please don't feel pushed, Mark. I just wonder when people upgrade their build with a completion set and skip the easy mods. So in this case at least it turned out useful to mention it. No worries, adding these screws is not a big thing (done in a few minutes) and is the exact same effort now.
  2. Not in your brain, in your house. Feeling stalked now? Looking forward to your revealing posting...
  3. Hi Michael, looks like you found an old link as the current document is 15,4 MB and 63 pages. The operational link to this can be found in the very first posting and in chapter #32.
  4. My guess is you are going to build a blaster stand with parts from a Master Replica Lightsaber stand...
  5. Additional work on the power cylinders looks good and helps bringing them closer to the real thing. Very good build progress on the scope. I just wondered that the front section had to be destroyed to get the lenses. Was the connection glued instead of screwed? Are you not going to add the 5 metal screws on the scope front?
  6. That is a brilliant idea Jesse and will look waaaay better than the magazine from DoopyDoo's. And it will be very lightweight. Sorry, never worked with bondo, so I am as curious as you about experiences being shared here... I just don't get the reason behind all your efforts, by already having one of Steve's (gazmosis) perfect resin magazines in hand. Why not simply using this? Do you plan to install electronics and want to use the space inside the magazine for that? Sorry in case that was already mentioned, but following so many builds from different people makes it sometimes hard to not mix anything up, you know?!
  7. Thank you very much Tom. At least that explains the recent messages in my inbox.
  8. No worries, Dan. What you did, is just the best and simplest way to install the small lens from the outside of a scope. Everything else is a lot more effort. Posted two photos in Mark's (Suspend) thread to help. Hm, instead of using LEGO, the same can be done with a drinking straw or something similar. But I guess people would wonder about finding such an item in a completion set. Also, I am trying to not add even more items, as it is quite a challenge to always have every single piece (67 in total) available for shipping a set...
  9. Hi Mark, you asked the question below in a different thread so I just wanted to help. But instead of posting it there, I thought it might make more sense to reply here instead. That photo shows how to dismantle the other half of the monocular and get a total of two small lenses, both in same size and suitable for our resin scopes. And here is one option, how such a lens can be installed during the build. Of course you can also just add it from the outside by using a Lego flagpole, play-doh and superglue. Very glad, that Dan (CableGuy) had covered you so fast.
  10. I really do not get the reason for such expensive foam prices, but it is the same over here. However, makes it even better for you to find this very nice and suitable case for less. Loving how the blaster is embedded only 2/3 and sticking out a bit. Very nice...
  11. Great job done on the power cylinders, Mark. To me, this section of the build is best to show the builder's attention to details. Jesse beat me to suggest trimming your back plate to one of the available shapes. Very good point. And you could also use item #15 (1mm ABS) to create these little wing stubs on the sides.
  12. You can be proud of your work on the counter. It was totally worth it. Looks spot on. Oh, and I really like your spray booth. Looking forward to your next update(s)...
  13. Wishing you a good time on your first troop, Dan. And keep your E-11 safe from harm. Our detailed resin blasters are always a bit fragile. Keeping fingers crossed...
  14. This is outstanding, Jesse. Not sure if anybody will ever attempt to recreate this, but I have never before seen a builder putting so many love and detail to a section, that later can not be seen in the finished blaster. Hats off. To install the rotary switch into the resin grip, it makes sense to reduce its thickness so you have less to hollow. I bent the four connector pins (1, 2, 3 & 10) by 90 degrees and removed that ring, which is actually a part of the housing but it does not affect the operation of the switch.
  15. Hi everybody Since last Friday I experienced the exact same problem, as already described by other members here and can confirm everything is working again - including the messenger which was also down. The only thing that's still different is the "Like button". It now misses the option to chose from like, happy, confused, and thanks. Not a big thing, but whoever fixed our beloved FISD might have a look at this, too. Thanks in advance to the folks involved.
  16. Yes, 2mm is too thick for this. What about scratch-building it from that little ABS sheet? (item #15) It is 1mm thick and should work - provided there is enough left. Worth a try then...
  17. Hey Tom, sorry for being late to the party and congratulations on finishing this superb E-11 blaster. Your paintjob and weathering are a perfect match to the original folding stock. Very nice work and a result, that you can be proud of. There is always that sad part when a blaster build comes to an end. But maybe you find little things here and there to go on with (like that small clip on the magazine)...
  18. Thanks for the kind words, Wayne. Always happy to help. The link is in my signature but instead of that, I would suggest to click on the Lucky#Eleven. Okay, that is not a DoopyDoo's kit, but the build itself is far more accurate.
  19. Yes, the 90 degrees are no problem - no matter what technique you are using. The only thing to bear in mind is that you might get a softer bend at your tabletop. If you are aiming for a "sharp" bend, better use a vice.
  20. As far as I know heating does not help when bending. But to be honest, except from my first scope rail, all others I built simply got bent on my tabletop without any cut in the underside. That always worked.
  21. Cannot wait to see your work to mimic the trigger group interior. You are scaring me, man. This is such an outstanding build.
  22. Sorry, double-post - although just clicking once
  23. Hey Mike, you kept your promise to complete the build by Sunday Congratulations on this achievement! Your blaster not only looks excellent, you also managed to combine the movable bolt with the electronics! Hats off to your work, man. I really hope you will have a lot of fun with this outstanding blaster. Like Dan already said, a little video clip would be the cherry on the cake.
  24. THAT was indeed the problem on my build. Very happy to hear it worked for you and looking forward to your next update. By the way, I love the paint chips on the bottom of your folding stock. Looking so real.
