1. I just found this thread, so here are two photos of my heavily modified Doopydoos ANH E-11. Before you ask, yes, I know it says one photo but it has two sides... One just won't do - of course, my build thread is linked in my signature if you want to see more. Right side. Left side.
2. Checking some other sites earlier tonight, Amazon and Toys R Us had them for $8.99. Walmart has a range of prices on their website, from $4 and change for some of the older ones (pre-owned) to as much as $12 and change for the newer ones. Most were in the $7 range. Target seems to be aligned pretty well with Walmart, a range of prices, typically around $8, but as high as $14.
3. Not sure how many of you play the game, or maybe have kids who do, but in a very silent sort of announcement recently Disney announced that it has cancelled the game.

What does this mean? Not sure if the ability to share community content will persist, or if Disney recommended content will go away. However, Best Buy (and possibly other retailers) have reduced the prices of every figure available. BB currently has all of the Infinity 3.0 figures marked at $9.99, and the Infinity 2.0 starter set (the game, the base, and two figures) is also $9.99.

It may cause a spike in prices on EBay, as fear of limited availability may set in. At any rate, it's worth taking a look right now to see if you can find some of the ones that you may have thought about getting while the window is opened in your favor.
4. I will make a post in our Garrison boards, and see what we can do! Sent from my SM-G386T using Tapatalk
5. Do you have a timeline for when you're hoping to present it? We've got a MAJOR Convention coming up in the first weekend of June, so we could potentially get a large group photo for use.
6. Congratulations Brenden! You've done some great work with your armor, and I happily welcome you to the ranks of EIB!!! Looking forward to that Centurion Application now.
7. Brandon, Can your recruit cancel the order? I won't say that it is impossible, but there are simply better options out there for his money. As for the seller, this very strongly appears to have a direct connection to the ones discussed here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31895-warning-evade-this-seller/
8. Great post Tim - great name, too!

I'm really happy to see you say what you had to say about the research. Some of us forum purists are quite regularly active in the FB group specifically to get those folks over here to do the research, and to prevent any catastrophic mistakes or misunderstandings.

Definitely a great share. Welcome aboard Trooper!!
9. Thank you for the update, Heston. Hopefully all is well with you, as it sounds like you've had some instances of "adulting" pop-up. I'm sure that everyone does appreciate the explanation for the shipping labels and what that actually means for them, from your perspective. Hang in there. As your blasters get out there more and more, word of mouth is going to happen, and those orders will keep coming your way. LoL
10. Jonathan, You should be able to, yes. Contact Joseph, as he is the one managing the run.
11. Kevin, Check again. I've gone in and updated your Legion/Detachment Access permissions.
12. Recasting is a multi-faceted thing... Basically when you see/hear people talking about something being recast, it amounts to stealing. The physical act of recasting is simply taking a piece of armor and making a copy of it - say that I broke one of my shins, and I know another member who has the same armor kit, so we take his shin, and make a copy of it so that I have a full and basically matching kit again. This would be less of a concern for people than what I'm about to talk about. Recasting, where people start to get angry about it is making that copy, and selling it as your own work. My armor is a fan-sculpt that tailors to taller troopers. There aren't as many options out there for taller members, and they usually have a long wait because they're kind of specialized in that regard. If I took my kit, and recast it and then offered kits for sale, that's stealing someone else's work and selling it as my own. That's where it becomes what is synonomously associated with the negative term "Recasting." Most of the time, they are less accurate because it is a physical copy of something else. Imagine taking some play-doh and wrapping a Star Wars figure (an old one from the 80s) with it, and then filling that up with resin. You'd lose details during the process.
13. Dark is a name that I was tagged with a LONG, long time ago. When I was but a young, fresh-faced 19 year old Soldier in my first unit in Germany, during my first field problem it was very quickly discovered that I had rather excellent night vision. I was a Signal Soldier and worked with a commo shelter that had to have generators running 24/7 so the Field Artillery Detachment Commander would always make us set up our location at least 1/4 mile from their launchers and command post. As a result, whenever we had message traffic to deliver, it had to be carried to them from our location. The FNG was always assigned this task, as it was usually in the woods and pitch black outside, so you'd trip over roots, and get poked in the face by branches, or worse, fall into ditches and get stuck in trees/bushes. At any rate, it would easily take 30 minutes for a messenger to deliver the message and return. When I was sent out with my first message delivery, I was back in fifteen minutes, completely unharmed. They expected me to come back whining and complaining about it - like they'd all done on their first missions - and when I was back so soon, they assumed I just hid and came back without delivering the message. So they made me take one of them with me to verify that it had been delivered. When that Soldier couldn't keep up with me, and got stuck in bushes, fell in ditches, etc, he learned that I could see very well in the dark, and so they would just refer to me as Dark during any night ops. So, Dark eventually became my "go-to" username for gaming networks/internets etc, and when I eventually linked up with my XBL Clan-mates and Paintball team (CMF) that got tacked on to the end of it, and it's been in place for almost fifteen years now.
14. As I've tried to stress previously, I'd hope everyone can keep their head up a little bit here. Heston has been delivering blasters. Yes, the communication is lacking right now, but blasters are being delivered. If there was no communications, and no blasters being delivered, then I'd more completely understand the frustrations. As for the flash to bang time on the shipping notifications, that's probably not a good metric to go by. When I did the shirt run, I could have paid for the shipping for all 160 shirts before they were produced and shipped to me. If Heston happens to go to the USPS website and creates shipping labels for fifteen blasters, those people would all receive the notification at that time. The first one completed would ship first, and the fifteenth would ship when it was completed. I'm sure that the fact that you've received a notification means that Heston is working on your blaster, or nearly done with it. As you said previously Evin, it is happening.
15. Truly, there isn't anything that I can say that will properly glorify or further reinforce the impact that Tony has had on the Detachment, and the global TK community at large. My sincerest thanks and congratulations on this award, Tony. The honor is truly ours. Thank you.
16. Yeah, a user name would be awesome, I've been aware of a few suspected recasters popping up talking about selling, but haven't seen a thread actually get started that I can think of. Thanks for the heads-up.
17. Loctite will work just fine from the standpoint that the pieces will be joined solidly. The E6000 is so heavily favored as a recommendation for new/first time builders because it doesn't set as quickly, which allows you to make adjustments if a mistake is made, and does not allow you to "build downhill" and go faster than you likely should be building. From a "building" perspective, the loctite will be fine, just test fit everything a few times and practice the process of assembling it without the glue several times before you actually do it with the glue. Once it sets, it's set.
18. Great work, Terry!! I suppose I should get off my butt and strap my kit so I can wear it finally.
19. Good to see them arriving, and that everyone is happy with them!
20. Typically - especially for new or first time builders - I recommend E6000, for the reasons described above. Definitely not a strange question.
21. Awesome stuff Steve! Great work up/over there, and thank you for sharing!
22. See it now. Thank you. EDIT: Wow... HUGE difference in the two really. One of those looks far more likely to wear out with use than the other one.
23. Video is set to Private, Wyatt. Can't see it - but I'm interested in seeing it.
24. But you're not really in my back yard so that I CAN do that. LoL
