1. I believe that is two-fold... Benefit of the weather, and side benefit of being close to the Boss's office (Disney World/Disney Land).
2. If you are military or retired military, Disney World resorts can be up to 40% less expensive. Just call and talk to them on the phone.
3. Shane, Believe it or not, that happens to everyone. At least I'd like to think it does anyway. You may or may not recognize a certain TK involved in this thread, having a similar problem. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26130-cannot-paste-anything-into-the-forumspms-all-of-a-sudden/?hl=%2Bfancy+%2Bmode#entry329467 Thankfully, the FISD came to the rescue of that poor hapless guy...
4. Some of you probably know that there is a Star Wars Fan Film competition going on. Here's a cool entry starring (among others) your friendly neighborhood DL (in a handful of close ups and a few voice overs, too): The Balance In Blood: --------- We (members of Star Garrison's North Texas Squad) cut these promos for WFAA (Dallas) news last year, but they're still a lot of fun: http://youtu.be/UZvISPMjVhE There are several videos, and they should play sequentially.
5. Alright everyone! Just posted (shortly ago) on www.starwars.com, the information that many of us (at least many of us here on the American continents) have been waiting for, Star Wars Celebration 2017 will be taking place in Orlando between April 13th and April 16th! Here's the link: http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-celebration-2017-set-for-orlando Tickets go on sale on May 25th. EDIT: PRICES HAVE BEEN POSTED Clear your calendars, and start working your work schedules so you can plan your trip!
6. Thank you for sharing Chris! You have definitely been an inspirational member here and displayed tremendous effort in support of Troopers Helping Troopers, and that is truly appreciated. Great write-up!
7. Easy fix then! Sent from my SM-G386T using Tapatalk
8. Keep in mind that tracking notification doesn't mean it was shipped, only that the sender has put a shipping label together for your package. Shipping was paid for, but the package hasn't been delivered to the shipping agency (USPS/UPS/FedEx) yet.
9. Shouldn't have to re-request it. It's possible that you asked for your Detachment Affiliation at the Legion forums in your profile page, but didn't request Detachment access. They're not the same thing, and this would be the first instance of someone losing their access (without being banned by the Legion) that I've ever seen, if it is indeed the case.
10. They sell out, and restock very regularly. It's best to check in every few days to see if they've restocked the kits.
11. Jason, while I'm truly sorry to hear about the manner in which this year has been treating you and your family, I'm equally touched to see how the communities to which you belong have responded and rallied to assist you in the aftermath of these tragedies. Please accept my wishes for a safe and full recovery, and extend some thanks to the locals for helping one of our own when truly needed.
12. I'm just jumping in to ask everyone to please try to remain calm, and continue to give Heston the benefit of the doubt here. We've actually seen pictures of his finished products, and people have received them, and shipping notifications in some instances. Another vendor's name has been mentioned here, and those of us with the proper access are aware of what a fiasco that situation was. I don't think that comparisons at this point in time are fair. Although he is relatively new to the FISD community, Heston has been up front about how he does things, and when he's had delays so far. Is the amount of time between updates unsettling? Yes. Is it cause for concern? Possibly, yes. As I said though, Heston has produced blasters. That's something that he who shall not be named never did.

Having said all of that, Heston, an update (any update) would be prudent and obviously, appreciated.
13. Awesome to see that you're here, Brenden! Thank you for sharing your story, and your photos. You'll hear/see a lot of us talk about how great it is to see people's faces light up when they see us, but you won't see too many deep discussions about how much we get in return, in the way of smiles, and memories. Needless to say, you've seen the tip of the iceberg on that front now, and it only gets better from there! Congratulations, and I look forward to welcoming you to the EIB and Centurion soon as well!
14. Hyperfirm (linked above) is a good choice for a ready to troop, durable blaster. If you're more interested in a kit build, I'd recommend checking out Doopydoos.com.
15. Congratulations Brian, and welcome to the Centurion ranks!! Well done!!
16. Just to clarify, these will not sell out. Whichever ones are ordered are the ones that will be made. The orders will stop being taken when Joseph closes the run at the end of May.
17. Thank you for sharing Luc! Yours is a beautiful story, and I'm happy to hear that all is well with your daughter!
18. The "Army helmet pads" are available as Kris said, on Amazon, etc. You'll want to look for MCH padding system. They are easy to install (velcro tabs stick in the helmet, the pads stick to the tabs), and easy to remove so you can wash them as needed, and replace them afterwards. They are what I have in my helmet as well.
19. Awesome news Aaron! Welcome to the 501st Legion, and also, to the Star Garrison!!
20. Awesome video Jack... Just awesome. Thank you for sharing your story, and tighten up those shoulder bells! Looking forward to welcoming you to the EIB and Centurion ranks in the near future!
21. AM 2.0 is an excellent kit. Particularly for those of us who may be a little tall or large for a Stormtrooper.
22. Congratulations, AJ! Welcome to the ranks, and thank you for sharing your thought process. EI and Centurion are completely able to be achieved by first time builders. I'd be a hypocrite to say otherwise - I did it, too.
