1. For all of you who have been waiting for the date that you can preorder the FOTK armor kit, that day is today. Brace your wallets. Especially if you're afraid to build it yourself. .

http://www.anovos.com/collections/star-wars-the-force-awakens/products/star-wars-the-force-awakens-first-order-stormtrooper-kit-with-helmet-pre-order
2. I would be remiss if I were to let this day go by without sharing something that I heard from a not so little bird earlier. What I heard is that today is Steve Gaza's birthday. Some of you may not be familiar with him, but Gaz (Gazmosis here at FISD) is a former Deployment Officer and overall helpful and awesome guy extraordinaire. He was the first person to greet me here when I joined the Detachment forums a few years back and he awarded me both my EIB and Centurion awards. He set the tone for me and my relationship with the Detachment, and I'm forever indebted to him for what he helped me to realize and achieve with his warm welcome and un-defeatable spirit of Troopers Helping Troopers! His presence here may be less consistent than it once was, but his influence and impact endure and even grow here every day. Thank you Steve, for everything, and I offer my best wishes to you that today will be spent surrounded by friends and loved ones in celebration of you. Happy Birthday, brother!!
3. You can fly with the armor pretty easily. I flew mine down to Orlando and back for Star Wars Weekends at Disney World last year without issue.
4. There has been one at the recent ones. Can't imagine why not!
5. I fully intended on buying one, but yeah... Ticket purchase window opened at like 2:11, and they were already gone. I'm guessing they only sold two or three hundred of them.
6. Lee, have you gone back and double checked your spam email filter, etc? Just "thinking out loud" here a little bit. I know that when I had ordered my kit, it took about a month before I heard anything, and I did manage to misunderstand an empty email that I'd received from them at one point in time. As Mark said above, it is a difficult situation, for the reasons that he outlined. I'm hoping that you've got a satisfactory resolution soon. Keep us posted.
7. VICTORY!!! It's always the last thing you try, huh?
8. Further resolution on this can be managed via PM moving forward. The ball is already rolling on the offers of kits being sent out to people for comparison sake and that is obviously going to be the only evidence that anyone is going to respect, maybe. I've locked the thread so that cooler heads can prevail for the time being.
9. Looking at the two, personally I would choose Derrek's helmet between the two of them. The RPF one (to me) just looks a little bit off in some of its proportions and lines. Almost looks more like an OTTK / FOTK hybrid than a pure FOTK to me.
10. Just in case you haven't seen it enough already, MakerOfThings = RecasterOfThings. Stay far, far, away.
11. I've only ever embedded videos from YouTube personally, and never using Tapatalk so I'm not sure of what the answer is. I'd expect that it is possible. Have you seen the HOWTO that explains how to post images using Tapatalk? It may be a similar process.
12. Definitely hit up the Spec Ops Detachment. And definitely stay away from Rubies armor.
13. Also great for use in making your bicycle sound like a dirt bike!
14. With regards to Phasma and where she belongs, nobody has said word one to me about her being anyplace else and here we are, so let's forge ahead and get her approvable!
15. I'm skeptical of the chrome wrap as well... As Eric said, definitely have to see it. It is both compelling, and scary. LoL
16. Updated the original post to include the ticket information link, which was posted a short time ago. Tickest go on sale in about 25 hours!
17. Awesome to see your application Sean! Looking good, best of luck in a quick response!
18. Let's also show some discretion in our behavior on the forums everyone.
19. For magnets check out (I know, I know... The name sounds inappropriate) www.banggood.com. They're slow to ship by reputation, but many to choose from, for awesome pricing. Here's the link with the search for magnets included:-------------
20. Did the seller offer to let him return it? If so, I'd still resommend that route. Without knowing what he paid for it, I'm willing to bet that the armor vendors here are mostly comparable in price, and superior in quality.
21. Awesome stuff Ming! Welcome to the ranks!
22. Good thing I already own two of the shirts.
23. I'm locking this thread, as it was originally intended to serve as a heads-up that the run was coming, to allow members to begin planning for the purchase of their Detachment Racing Shirt(s). Seeing as how the actual run has been active for going on three weeks, but people are still posting here, I'm concerned that people will be expecting their orders to have been managed simply by posting here, and that is not true. To order a shirt, please visit the following thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/37044-fisd-racing-shirt-run-is-open/page-1'>http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/37044-fisd-racing-shirt-run-is-open/page-1
24. While my biceps and forearms are connected to each other, and the hooks hold them to the shoulder bells, I leave my shoulder bells snapped to the shoulder bridges before I get kitted up. It's much easier to slip, the biceps into the shoulders than it is to snap the shoulder bells in place.
