  1. Definitely interested in a blaster kit and pistol kit too! Looking forward to seeing more production pics when they become available!
  2. Tino, <br> thanks! its not movie accuate but i tried to get most of the general details in the costume. most things like the fur, shoes, masks amd blaster parts came from the dollar store. cheap but eefective. <br><br> I used the electronics just for Jawa voices. I bought some other sound boards for the blasters but never got around to setting them up. So for now my daughters just use the Jawa talk recordings.
  3. Some photos of the finished Jawa costumes as promised, sorry so late to post them.<br><br><br> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Jawa%20Project%202015/image.jpg2_zpsgoov7omr.jpg%27' class="bbc_url" title="External link">http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Jawa%20Project%202015/image.jpg2_zpsgoov7omr.jpg'>http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Jawa%20Project%202015/image.jpg2_zpsgoov7omr.jpg</a><br><br></a><br> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Jawa%20Project%202015/image.jpg1_zpsi2cotmrh.jpg%27' class="bbc_url" title="External link">http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Jawa%20Project%202015/image.jpg1_zpsi2cotmrh.jpg'>http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Jawa%20Project%202015/image.jpg1_zpsi2cotmrh.jpg</a></a><br><br><a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Jawa%20Project%202015/image.jpg1_zpskjuo1r3b.jpg' class="bbc_url" title="External link">http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Jawa%20Project%202015/image.jpg1_zpskjuo1r3b.jpg</a>
  4. For me, Aluminum is better for weight if considering a metal over plactic, steel is great but heavy to holster and hold for trooping. Complete kits are always great if you can offer them and certainly individual parts would always be something people will want to maybe upgrade a part on their already built blasters or switch out from another kit. Accuracy for parts is something I look for so if any details like stamping can be incorporated, it makes it more attractive to have, especially for members who live in places where owning real sterlings is not an option. <br><br> Looking forward to seeing more of your kit parts as you get them produced.
  5. Info sheet on kits, please read if you received a pre sales PM from me. <br><br> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Bulldog%20Props%20Hall-ow%20M38%20Scope%20Test%20Phase/Bulldog%20Props%201942%20M38%20Hollow%20Core%20Scope/M38%20Scope%20Parts%202016%20Kit%20info3_zpsotvjyj84.jpg'>http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn37/Bulldog44USA/Bulldog%20Props%20Hall-ow%20M38%20Scope%20Test%20Phase/Bulldog%20Props%201942%20M38%20Hollow%20Core%20Scope/M38%20Scope%20Parts%202016%20Kit%20info3_zpsotvjyj84.jpg</a>
  6. Apologies to everyone who filled out the interest form or contacted me about a scope kit. I am still on my long holiday break and postponed my official sales thread launch until I get back to my normal routine. I did however manage to prep a limited number of kits and brought them with on my trip. For all of you who have expressed interest by signing up, I will be sending you a PM to see if you would like to buy a kit as a trial pre-sale offer. If you did sign up and do not receive a PM from me for this trial offering, please post in this thread or PM me. From what numbers I have recorded, I have enough to offer all who expressed interest. Thank you for your patience and hope I can set up a smoother operation soon after I get back.
  7. Thanks guys for your kind comments. It was a lot of fun building the blasters and the full costumes came out satisfactory. My girls wore them a few times already and the feeds back from people seeing them was great. I made their hoods twice as big as a normal Jawa so they looked funnier. When I get a chance I will post a photo of the finished costume. Sorry I never updated the project since last year.
  8. Hi Bob, Sorry I have been missing in action. Still on a long summer break from work. I have some kits I took with me on my trip to the US and can offer a limited number of kits. Just finally got shipping quotes front the post office today. Not as cheap as the method I will use from Japan but can still get them to you. PM you and a the other people who signed up on my interest list this weekend. Sorry again I am slow to get around to things.
  9. A true masterpiece! It depresses me to know that the build has come to an end as it has been an exciting feed of cool new ideas and well presented as always. Can't stop thinking about how or which mods to attempt on a another blaster build if I ever get to one. Electronics chapter is a great way to finish it up and it came out amazing. Thanks Tino for all the time and effort put into the build and for making it another great example of what can be achieved.
  10. Got my shirt. Thanks Joseph for doing this. Hoping there will be another run in the near future. Mens medium turned out to be a bit too big for my build and will order small next time around. This will be good for wearing over a sweatshirt. Looks great.cheers!
  11. Cool. Looking forward to hear more about these when they arrive. Cheers!
  12. Jim, let me know when you get the monocular in hand. This might be exactly what I have been looking for to perfectly fit the lens assembly in my kit. Very cool, especially for the price. Thanks for posting!
  13. Holy smokes! That looks sick! Not only did you build a beautiful blaster from scratch but in record time. Think you set a new record for sure. Congrats on this and hope your blaster gets lots of mileage on many troops ahead!
  14. Awesome work on the scope Tino! So honored to have you build one and make it look amazingly real. The icing on the cake is you have displayed this in a case as part of your showcase collection. Truly honored! <br> The brass painted on the inside parts looks fantastic, and the weathering is perfect. Again, I love how you were able to use the monocular as a whole part to install into the scope. It came out beautiful. I hope some of the retainer rings screwed on without too much trouble, most of the newer scopes I casted have a slight shrinkage problem which will make the builder have to file the threads down a bit to fit the rings properly. <br> Thank you so much too for your kind words on the quality of the scope. Over the moon to are happy with it and your step by step of building it is greatly appreciated as now many people can see all the details and features of the scope kit. It actually looks better than the original scope and that no joke. <br> Arigato my friend! Super job!
  15. Come on man, this build has hit a ridiculously mind blowing level with all those electronics, bullets and lights! Had to re-read and stare at the photos a few times to believe what I am seeing. Absolutely spectacular!
  16. Wow! would love a complete sterling parts kit if you ever do offer them. Scope looks great. That is some crazy good fabrication going there. Looking forward to more of your build!
  17. Sergiu, that is an amazing collection. I love the ultra accurate helmet trio. Next you need to get a screen used TFA TK helmet and one from Rouge One. Congrats! <br><br> Germain, you always say the funniest things. Lol. Didn't even take notice of the order until you said it. Sergiu, you might have to re-arrange the display to make Germain feel more at ease, or just switch your text around. All good fun.
  18. Tino , just noticed that when you laid out the scope kits I sent, you placed the large retainer ring in front of one scope and the partial lens assembly in front of the other. Only want to check as the partially casted lens assembly looks similar to the retainer ring, hard to tell even on the original scopes as the lens assembly sits directly behind the retainer ring making it hard to tell they are two separate parts. Probably the lens assembly is not needed in the kit but I casted them anyway in case someone wanted to put together their scope like the original scope, part for part.
  19. Original screws are silver in color.
  20. Wow! Crazy stuff. That's thinking outside the box.
  21. Just awesome! Great start and can't wait to see this completed. I am amazed at how you made the stock. What material did you use for that? Skills my friend!
  22. No I am not quite sure what the numbers represent. It could be they were produced in batches and given the number for keeping inventory or track of what was going into the field. I noticed the M19 and M32 scopes do not have these numbers and maybe it became a problem to keep track of what was made and where it went. Perhaps if they were produced at different locations so maybe the number represents the foundry where they were casted. Maybe the numbers are designations for the type of tank or equipment the scope would be used on. It would be cool to get in touch with anyone who may have worked on the scopes or at least distributed them during the war effort. Probably a long shot but there may be people out there still who can shed more light on the scopes. Maybe Sherman tank experts know more or WWII museum curators. Going to have to dig deeper this summer when I get some research time on this. Report back if I turn up any useful info on this.
  23. Going bald anyway, it'll just speed up the process! Cheers! LoL!
  24. Cool to hear you could examine those hole fillers. It sounds like maybe one hole may have been left open perhaps for fine tuning if needed. I too thought the holes were plugged up with clay for making silicone molds but this search for proper replacement pegs has made me look at the filler stuff in a whole new way. I think anyway they are replicated is correct, even if you painted the holes silver. Its about capturing the spirit of how they look either with real screws or an idea of metal there. Open to interpretation from the many scopes seen or held. Lots of options for such a strange tiny detail on the scope!
  25. That's cool how you fit the monocular part inside the scope. I hadn't thought about that. I just assumed you would have removed the lens then try to fit on the scope. I will wait to see what you do on the hollow scope before speculating any further.<br><br> Nice surgical work with the spade drill bits. Reticle looks awesome too. Glad you could fit that and really see the graphics. Weathering is brilliant, always love how how the white text looks. Its great the base resin is pure black onyx, saves you a bigger paint job. Thanks to Dday, he pointed me to a company in Japan that sells Smooth-on black onyx resin. I might invest in that for my scopes.<br><br> Too bad you can't get a prism system to work yet but what you have accomplished already is more than enough I think.<br> Fantastic work and the step by step documentation is perfect for anone trying to do this. <br> I also think the 3 screws you have for eyepiece look perfect. The height of the cheesehead looks more accurate than the ones I bought. Let me know if you get a chance to compare yours to original scope screws. <br><br> Bravo again Tino!
