  1. Congratulations Joseph!!!!! And a massive thank you to Andrew for all the great work as DL the past few years. FISD is is great hands.
  2. お帰りなさい!Welcome back Jospeh! Great to hear you are back in action.
  3. Interested and waiting to see this build get going.
  4. Dan was a solid guy and lived the trooper helping trooper spirit. He will be missed but never forgotten. Buckets off.
  5. Welcome back! Hope everything is sorted and you can slowly get back to normal.
  6. Just getting this started so not sure how to handle all the past troops. For now here is my most recent troop. Event: #? Event Name: Yokota Comic Con 2023 Location: Yokota Air Base, Fussa, Japan Date: 03/04/23
  7. I would agree with an additional Disney Park CRL than make a change to the current CRL standard. I will be building my DN kit at some point and as daunting as I feel about doing the should seams, it is in line with what we see on screen and looks correct.
  8. Hi Henry. Awesome find!!!!! Are ever considering to make copies of the radio for Sandy packs? I would love to get one or two kits if you do. A member in Italy has a real Sonix 75, offered kits for a while but is no longer making them.
  9. Congratulations Andrew!!!! FISD is in great hands. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for this detachment.
  10. Looking good. The blaster is very nice too. Best of luck!
  11. Hi Andrew. It sure is very daunting at first and can feel that way for a while. The advice already given is a great path to start on. It took me 2 years to complete my armor back in 2012 because I was so afraid to make mistakes along the way. I was doing things month to month. Eventually I got tired of being so crazy to not make mistakes (so I could get trooping) and then things sped up form there. Also I had done so much reading & research on the FISD I was good to go. Take your time, ask lots of questions and don't give up. It's the journey that is rewarding as much as the finished armored is when you get to your first troop. Best of luck on your journey!
  12. From I recall the Pugman version is a rubber/resin cast of another E-11. So it is a full solid static prop. All the normal open cavity areas you would find on a sterling built E-11 like the front sight guard are filled in solid as it would be near impossible to make molds to capture that space/detail. Pugman has lineage to ESB used props so that is the plus point for this blaster. RS obtained the molds from the movie so RS Pugman copies are basically the same identical prop background troopers used on set. But for a display piece, if want to show more details, the regular E-11 blaster they offer might be better. Here is a video Paul @RS Props did showing their reguar E-11 & Bapty version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejUMlKi0SvY Hope this helps.
  13. Thank you Aradun for the awesome review and feedback. I am extremely happy to hear you are pleased with the service and quality of the scope kit. Thanks for ordering one!
  14. Fantastic build Joseph! What a journey to see this through. Extremely honored you asked me to help out. Best of luck with the auction and hoping it raises big bucks for that charity.
  15. Awesome! Value is just what gmrhodes13 has said. Someone paid a lot for an original Sonix a while back and think that’s the one RS props uses now. It was well over $1,000 or way more but that was the first one anyone found at that point. There have been a few discovered so value is certainly what someone is willing to pay for it. I am interested in it if you are selling. For me the value needs to be realistic in that I would be copying the radio to make kits. So top dollar is not something I could pay as the cost to make molds, etc. would need to be considered to make it even worth it. PM me if you are interested to sell it.
  16. Happy a help a great cause. Thanks for reaching out to me for a scope. Can’t wait to see this blaster finished in all its glory.
  17. Welcome Paige. Time to build a set of armor varies but always go a pace that you feel comfortable with. Never rush things and double or triple check if you are ever unsure. Everyone is here to help.
  18. Stay safe. Looking forward to see what progress you make next.
  19. Cheers. Even if it does show up I need to have my folks ship it to me in Japan. Just might have to wait until I visit home next year. I guess another year to have it in hands won't kill me at this point. LOL.
  20. I contacted them last year and they said they would make sure my order would be fulfilled. I sent them a recent message just in case to make sure they have my order number and info. They replied and told they didn't have my shipping info but located my order number. So fingers crossed they will ship that out soon. Nice to see other people getting their goods.
  21. Excellent research with these parts. Never a dull day on the FISD.
  22. Welcome Goldammer! No worries about experience with armor building. It's a fun learning experience with lots of great support here on the FISD.
  23. The blaster cam out amazing. Top notch work! I am currently copying an MGC part for part. A nice guy who owns one in Japan kindly disassembled his so I can make molds. Once I finally get it all molded and casted up I will be back here looking how to make or acquire all the add ons to make it an ROTJ blaster. Thank you for sharing all the information on this build.
