  1. I am still keeping my order open for the FOTK armor I purchased with their presale discount deal but that is only because I am in no rush to build it at this point. For those who are looking to build and wear armor sooner, Anovos is not going to be the quickest option as seen with almost all of their pre sale deals. I also bought 2 kits of their first TK armor and waited so long i literally forgot I ordered them. Then one day my family said some big boxes arrived. The aniticipation wore off and now I have one kit sitting in storage and the other partially built over a yea’s time for a Sandy. On the positive side Anovos’s packaging is great, armor is sharp in detail, a bit on the thin/fragile side of durability but still nice overall. Very happy I got those kits for the money I paid. Point in short.... Can’t wait any longer, need armor now? Anovos is not the armor vendor you are looking for....Move along. really sorry to read and hear all the stories here about the disappointment in waiting. Hope you all find your way to obtaining armor and get out there trooping soon.
  2. Cool. I guessed it would but wasn’t sure if some sacrifices had to be made when producing the parts. This will be epic.
  3. The trigger frame is beautiful! Mag well looking sharp too. Will the magazine release work like the real thing?
  4. I too agree. It would make more sense if the MEPD was renamed to reflect the broader costumes it now has to represent. Not just Mos Eisley anymore.
  5. Also I have been testing the use of Blu tac as a non permanent way to keep things in place but allow parts to move without having to commit to glues. For my F-11D stock handle, I used aluminum tubing as a port to insert the screws into. I stuffed the tube with blue tac, screw the bolts into the tubing and they stay in place , allowing the stock handle to move.
  6. I usually drill a tiny pilot hole first to ensure I start dead center then I do go one bit size down from the screw diameter to drill out the hole. If it is too tight to thread you can try using the same size drill bit to shave off a bit more on the sides of the hole. Sometimes I end up going to the next bit size up and it still leaves enough resin to thread into. If that takes off too much, green stuff or hobby epoxy will help to seal it up and re-drill to a better fitting.
  7. Sweet! Can't wait to get one of these. Your counters will have all the looks of the originals plus room on the inside to accommodate electronics like Paul at TRamp offers.
  8. Great progress on your build Tony.
  9. Sorry to hear how this ended up Tony. Hope you can get another hasbro kit soon. No worries about having a blaster for basic clearance, just need the armor, blaster not required. If you apply with one then you might want to check the requirements for acceptable blasters. But again, its optional for basic application.
  10. This is a great guide for armor parties. Thanks Joseph for putting this together.
  11. Try Roy. He sells t tracks for sabers and blasters. Marv (here on the fisd) also offers them still, I think. http://wannawanga.com/shop/
  12. Dovetail slot perfectly executed!
  13. Great to hear you finally got the blaster kit. Popcorn is ready.
  14. Awesome! Tino!!!!! Congratulations!!! Never too late. So glad you finally are a trooper. Now you can show off all your amazing blasters you have built in the field. Happy trooping!!!
  15. Awesome! Digging out the tiny spaces where the t-tracks enter the holes looks great, super start , looking forward to the rest of your build.
  16. Will you be starting an interest list on the RPF as well? That might help get the numbers higher for interested buyers. Hope enough people will be in on this.
  17. Hi Tony, I understand your frustration. I had an order delayed with them once. Try calling them or write a postcard. Magically they will respond when you catch them at the right moment. Don't give up just keep trying and be as polite as you can even if you are not happy. I think they get lots of negative mail and probably they just ignore it after a while. Hope you get what you paid for. But certainly keep trying. Definitely call them. I once got through. BTW, how is your prized Sonix doing??? I still dream of that!! LOL! 18. I thought this project was dead so I bought another blaster kit last month. I would need some time now to pull funds together for one of these but having a price to save towards would be helpful if you are able to make some projection of cost. I understand that you need to secure committed buyers first to move ahead. Tricky and risky as you mentioned from past experience. Are you considering a payment plan so there is some funding coming in to get things rolling or one lump payment for each kit?
  19. It would be great to see this project get some traction. Just bought an F-11d blaster kit last month but always hoped to see what your blaster will look like when it's completed. Glad you are back.
  20. This blaster looks top notch. Fantastic paint job. Looks like the real deal.
  21. Came out amazing Tino. Looking forward to seeing your armory packed with blasters!
  22. Great buy! Glad you got it. Definitely in the right hands. Looking forward to seeing you make replicas of it.
  23. Thanks all for your responses . Very helpful. I might get one just to have it. Orange does make sense then if it's for shipping ,customs .
  24. ----------- has a anyone seen this blaster on display at the SDCC? Or any other event? Sorry if this has been posted about before. I stumbled upon it the other day on their site and was surprised since they did not send the usual promotional email for it. Hope it stays true to the movie used blasters as far as exterior details go. No electronics , just a static blaster. Interesting they are going with orange for the base color, black or white base color would be easier to work with/]. As they mention changes may be made to the blaster than what is presently posted.
