You are doing an amazing job with all those wires. I would have hung myself by now. Lovin all the problem solving you document so well. Speaker in the tube will be a good idea. I liked your scope/speaker idea but it might not have given you the best sound output. Now that the scope is freed up, you should add the TRamp scope display!

Sorry to hear about the paint woes. I hope it all gets fixed the way you want it in the end. Great guide for anyone looking to go the same route. Your trials will certainly help others. Thanks for sharing!

No problem and thanks.

Sorry. Probably need access on Facebook. Fieldmarshal Just posted up some news he will start selling the counter windows on his site or eBay page today or tomorrow. Just thought to share the news. Get in touch with him if you still need one of those windows,

Just saw this about the counter windows: https://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn

I just used a scrap piece of clear plastic that had the right thickness. Anything will do, just got to have different grades of sanding paper to get that polished finish in the end.

I think that’s his name, I only ever use his forum name or Q.

https://www.starwarscostumeprops.com/listing/281425412/hengstler-400-counter-replica-lens-for also check out this guys stuff. Top notch casting and parts. the counter window part can be bought as it plus other nice options. I want to buy a complete blaster from him someday, but all those parts add up.

Here is a thread about printing numbers. gmrohodes13 might be able to help make a number file you can print. He is super helpful.

You’ll find it’s extremely useful to get ideas to use or even inspire you to try something new. Fieldmarshal also makes some great replic counters too but not sure if you are interested to buy another one. Doopy counter is fine, just needs a lot of work to bring out the details you want to incorporate. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Wow, now that’s amazing. Great attention to detail. I was Vader as a kid with those cheap vinyl cosmos with the stretchy string face mask back on the day for many Halloween’s. I would have died to have a costume like this as a kid.

Have a look at the blaster reference again for some ideas on this. It was a lot of work but I Carved out the insides of my doopy counter, added some real counter parts from a dollar store counter and cut some clear plastic to fit and sanded/polished it to a curved shaped and finish. There are lots of 3d options now for the clear window part that I have seen around. The numbers can be as a printed sticker/insert as well. Someone on the forum was customizing these for members I think a while back. If I find it I will post it for you.

Lovin that paint booth. Wish I had that much space to work in.

Probably takes a bit more time to do but you can also try shortening the length of the straps that connect your chest plate to the back plate. They seem to have too much slack so that is another reason why they easily pull out to the sides. I recently redid my shoulder strapping for the same reason and with the less slack, it does not pull out visibly anymore. Even with that said, it might require you to adjust the shoulder bell straps after that to get the bells to sit in the right position without too much of a tug going on.

Hi Rat, for the parts that are broken off or a bit beyond an easy green stuff patch , I would consider trimming these parts off an finding some replacements if you have a budget for it, like the charging handle and the rear sight. For the warped folding stock , I would try adding some thin metal support strips on the inner side so it won’t been seen but will guide that area straight. . The sterling d ring has more of a rounded curve on each side. Have a look at the blaster reference by clicking on the banner in my signature. You can find some good reference pics. It’s tough to get the right bend but perhaps with aluminum you can make an easier job of it. Brass or stronger metals are a pain to work with unless you have the right equipment or things to shape it around.. hope this helps.

Looking sweet. Yes, no rush is best but I know that feeling about the gear. Those shirts are cool to have. Maybe with enough time put in you can get it done in time and still have the results you want.

Jeff, I am speechless. That review is truly amazing and I cannot thank you enough. Thank you for spending the time to put together the most detailed and helpful review I have ever read. Your feedback and observations are epic and deserve a true trooper high five for that. I am so glad you reached out to me for the scope and your request got me back into making scopes again with enthusiasm. Nothing pleases me more than to hear your satisfaction with what you got and paid for. I hope to make good on your suggestions as they are great ideas that will serve others well when they get a kit. Such a great documented review with all the pics too. Love seeing the finished product as well. I made so many of the kits in pieces but rarely find time to build them myself so its nice to see them ready to go on a blaster. Thank you a billion!!!!! This review will be linked from my BulldogProps page. Super helpful. Cheers Jeff!!!!!

I really want to go R1 now.

Rogue One Stormtrooper Back Pack part found
Bulldog44 replied to Sly11's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
LOL. Yeah, more armor might put a strain on the marriage so I ma treading carefully about going full R1. -
Sorry for the false alarm then. Trooper eyes going bad.
-
Sorry, not meant to sound bad. It appears from the photos the seam line from the two part mold look a bit off perhaps but only a tiny bit. Could just be my eyes. You will know better after you remove those seam lines.

With some TLC you can get that blaster back on track for sure. Looking forward to seeing how you do on this. The casting certainly has issues with alignment and surface trouble but nothing a willing trooper can't fix. Good project to start on. I have a version one of the DVH kit before DDay started making them. The parts need a ton of cleanup and reworking but I am slowly starting to make progress. Going to turn it into a Bapty blaster.

Thank you Jeff for that great review and super kind comments. Happy you like the scope kit and based on your detailed review, I will try to make some more improvements on the rings and bubble areas. Arigato! edit: one retainer ring might be slightly smaller than the other. Sometimes it takes a little even pressure to press the threads in a bit and the ring then screws on. amazing build as well. I wish I had seen this earlier! Following from now on. I want to go R1 at some point, built the pack already but no armor or helmet.

Totally awesome job on the electronics. I wish I had your skills to do this. Might have try next blaster but will need to ask lots of questions. Great job!
