  1. Thanks everybody. The clone forums were super helpful as well.
  2. I found this kit on ebay and just wanted to see if anybody knows anything about it that seems fishy? I'd like to get clone armor for relatively cheap but wouldn't want something thats just wrong in a bunch of ways. https://www.ebay.com/itm/USED-STAR-WARS-COMMANDER-SPECIAL-OPS-CLONE-FULLY-PAINTED-COSTUME-ARMOR-HELMET/253907802407?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D6d4fa446f23441fba37403a5dce5ce16%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D253907802407%26itm%3D253907802407&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A73153577-c66b-11e8-8508-74dbd1807a0a|parentrq%3A35e5c62f1660a9cc5a44402cfffc83bb|iid%3A1
  3. Hey everybody,I just recently finished up my TK build and was interested in starting a Clone Trooper build next. I'd prefer the styles of the later seasons of the Clone Wars series. Also, I know there are some forum rules about posting non-licensed vendors, so feel free to post ONLY official vendors. Any others can be shared through private messages. Thanks
  4. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I can't glue the straps down because I have to be able to unsnap them to get in and out of the armor. So I'll probably try the velcro method first. If that still gives me problems I may just switch to canvas.
  5. I'm trying to get my armor up to centurion status and I'm having issues with my shoulder straps. As you can see, the weight of the shoulder bells pulls the straps out the side. The material I was given for the straps is a stretchy elastic type material. Should I go for a non stretchy material like the canvas that's use on the belt? Any suggestions on how to fix this would be awesome. Thanks AntwanDeFish TK-32992
  6. Thanks everybody for the tips. I'm used to using heat guns for vinyl vehicle wraps but ABS is a different animal. I'll probably try the hot water method to get a more circular shape. I've heard that this was a mistake in the early runs of the ATA armor so I've been debating whether I should try and work with this or attempt to find a replacement shin. But then I have to worry about matching plastics.
  7. As you can see, one is more circular and one's more of a sharp oval. I didn't heat it into this shape and you can see I followed the "body" lines for the cover strips.
  8. I recently finished my ATA armor build and the only problem I seem to be having is the shin sizing. The opening on the bottom of the left(sniper) shin is dramatically different and it makes it difficult to faster around my boot. I used the same method and followed the same cut lines on both shins and this one is so much smaller. I don't know if I attached the wrong pieces or if there is a specific way to fix this. I've attached a picture. Let me know what you all think.

  10. The only thing I had to trash was some foam and gloves which is fine cause foam is cheap and I need to order the screen accurate gloves anyway. All the tips here helped a lot. Thanks guys. The build is going at a good pace now
  11. I haven't really noticed discoloration. I did use dish soap and vinegar and that seemed to help. More than anything, I think it just needed to air out. All the armor was in the box with some soft goods(foam, gloves, etc.) and I think that's what was holding most of the smell. I will definitely check out the whitening gel. Thanks.
  12. I don't currently have pics but I asked the guy lots of questions before buying. It's an ATA kit (ATA signature inside helmet) that he bought a while ago but never got around to building. A few very minor scuffs from storage but other than that, still new condition.
  13. Hey, I recently just received an ATA armor kit from a gentleman on ebay. As I opened the box it became evident that it came from a smoker. I was thinking about soaking the armor in a bath to get rid of the smoke smell and was curious as to what works best for cleaning the ABS. Will bleach or vinegar work ok without damaging the plastic?
