  1. I have said to Tino last year I was itching to start another blaster but failed to get anything started. Still need to work on my sandtrooper armor and pack too. But hey, power cylinders would be a good starting point and your ceramic tubes have my attention.
  2. Congratulations! Looking sharp trooper! Go for Centurion!!!!
  3. Wow! You put together the scope already. Hope it was fun and easy. Toyr trigger guard is top notch! I ended up making my own as well as the doopy one I received was badly casted and did not fit correctly. You can even add a bit of tapering contour to the guard. Not sure it[f it’s 100% accurate but when I did mine I used the Dday trigger guard as my reference and it was thicker down the middle and tapered on both sides along the edges. This bulld is heating up! Awesome work!
  4. Hi Marko, yes please see the post Patrick has posted for Tino’s lucky eleven power cylinders. The bolts and nuts are set up the same as on the front of the cylinders.
  5. Cool. I love the ceramic tube colors. Nice added detail there. Makes me want to try and make power cylinders.
  6. Looking good Andrew. Yes, as suggested, the strapping is key. Sometimes takes a few fittings and trials to get the fit right, especially for trooping.
  7. Wow! Kirill, great work. Been a long time from when you made your intro here. Come a long way! The finish line awaits you!
  8. Nice work Patrick. Yes I would echo what Tino has said about the placement of the scope and the counter. There isn’t an exact position per say just what looks correct from the screen used blasters. Using those reference points as Tino recommends will give you the best look. Have a look at some screen shots of the blasters and I think you will see they mostly all fall closely within these reference points. The front muzzle adds a bit of work doing it that way but as you said, having access for the electronics is good. This will come in handy if you intend to install a reflector tube for the LEDs .
  9. Great! Fun read. Thanks for sharing this.
  10. Wow, that is a lucky find and thankfully someone who knows what it is to SW found it. I wish I had that kind of cash to spend but not sure I am able to get even the basic staring auction price. Hope it goes to a great home or prop shop that can use it to help the community like Tony has done. Cheers.
  11. Congratulations Preston to you and your wife. Great photos and thank you for sharing. Looked like a lot of fun. Wish I had a trooper wedding.
  12. Thank you very much! Wow, it’s awesome. It’s the real deal and in nice condition it seems. Cheers.
  13. Nothing appears when I search this on eBay. Something I am doing wrong? Do you have a link?
  14. I tried the number but not seeing anything. Doesn’t appear after I put it in the search bar.
  15. Do you mean another real sonic radio different from Tony’s? Do you have the eBay link to your auction? Photos? If another real radio, would you consider selling privately? Very interested if so. Please PM me .
  16. Looking sharp trooper. Welcome aboard! May 2019 bring you tons of trooper glory!
  17. Awesome! Great start to your build Patrick. Work on the mag housing and end cap detail looks great.
  18. Doopy power cylinders do take a lot of work to get them to look accurate. Those caps are an interesting find for the ends. I found the cylinders to be the most difficult to capture the details but its rewarding when it done and you see how they look compared to the original doopy state.
  19. The certificate is on the last page of the PDF download, link in the first post of this topic. You can print a copy from there.
  20. Thanks. Yeah I love the display. I might try and get my certificates framed too like this.
  21. Awesome Freduster! Congrats! Looks great among your other certificates. Thanks Tino as well for the nod! Great to see these released in the wild especially for super blaster builders who use the reference. Well deserved!
  22. Oh yeah, sorry Tino, I should have noticed that too. Your builds are like pages out sacred texts. Never leave home without them!.
  23. Jesse, you nailed the scope paint job. I own a few real ones and must say that your scope paint is spot on. The lighting really shows that subtle sheen. Your hard work and attention to detail continues to pay off. Got popcorn ready for the power cylinders. With Andy's awesome research I am sure your cylinders will be epic.
  24. Nice work on the paint so far. If you are not satisfied with the under layer of brass/gold after you paint the scope black, try looking into brush on metallic paints that you can polish after painting. They look quite impressive when done correctly. For the black coat, as already mentioned, semi-gloss more than flat black.
  25. Thanks for sharing this Asa! Have a look a look on the JG forum and see my XO message about FISD badges. Would like to start to get more troopers in the JG showing their achievements by adding their badges in their signatures on the forum. Hope to see you at Tokyo Comic Con this year if you can make it!
