  1. Nice catch on the end-cap. I hadn't seen that picture before and it looks like it indeed. However, I wonder if the handle is round in shape. On this picture it almost looks oval to me.
  2. Looking mighty good already! I'm looking forward to see the end result
  3. Edit: Incorrect from my part. Turns out they are aligned. Hard to tell from your pictures if you noticed, but I thought I'd mention that the two top blades and the two bottom blades aren't aligned on the same axis. Basically, when viewed from the top they should be offset and form kind of an "X". And in addtion to the hengstler, this weapon seems to also borrow the magazine (or at least part of it) from the F-11D.
  4. I know you're not in for ultimate accuracy but actually, the "L" shaped piece inside the rear sight should be removed, and the scope rail secured with a screw and nut going through each side of the rear sight. Now what was the exact type of bolt and nut used, hard to tell.
  5. No return edge at all is needed on top of the inner half of the forearm, and it's actually better to have none. It helps avoiding any pinching when bending the arm.
  6. Yes, that ear looks good. I like the fact that you trimmed the rounded part of it correctly. Lastly I've been seeing a lot of people who don't trim this section enough, making the ears look very bulky.
  7. If you look at the concept arts posted above too, you'll notice there will be force fields added between the "blades". So this weapon might actually be more of a stun weapon like the riot control staff.
  8. Screencaps with a better resolution. Interesting to note that there's a hengstler from the F-11D attached to the handle. Now which version of the hengstler, the normal one, or the upscaled? Because it makes a very good reference to figure out the scale of this hammer.
  9. Lol, you look so tiny!! Anyway, with your shortened kidney plate too, I reckon that preserving the area of the abdominal plate I was talking about isn't that much important.
  10. I'm disappointed Christine... You forgot the cod slicing .gif! About that cod slicing thing, one thing I was a little bummed during your RS build was the way you trimmed the lower section of the abdominal plate to meet with the new lines of the cod. You removed the whole lower section when I think it could have been preserved. Here's a picture from your RS build to show you what I mean: I know you don't get a perfectly continuous curve as with the trim line you used, but I think leaving this area makes the abdominal plate look more accurate than if you trim it.
  11. When I try to hide "justjoseph63"'s signature it prompt me: "there was a problem ignoring this member's signature". I tried hiding someone else's signature and it worked though. Maybe that's because he's a staff member?
  12. This new skin is impressive! I must say I like a lot how clean it looks. Even though I gotta confess the first thing I did was to look for the "reference pictures" section, which I gladly found safe and sound . On my side here's a little issue I noticed: the "Change Background image" (the little brush next to the "notification" and "message" links) does not seem to work. When I click it shows the different shades available for the background, but clicking on any of them doesn't change a thing.
  13. Yes, that's what I was saying about why the OT sandtroopers have different details to the OT stormtroopers. The issue is that nowadays this is something that would never happen again. The general idea for people not crazy about SW is that a sandtrooper is just a stormtrooper with extra gear, hence why, in my opinion, they didn't bother recreating these small details of the OT sandtroopers for the R1 sandtroopers. They just started from the R1 stormtroopers and added the extra gear to achieve the look. If only they had known about the mess they were leaving behind for us...!
  14. I think this Jedha Trooper should be assign to the MEPD. In my opinion, it's obvious the propmakers wanted to create a sandtrooper costume. The fact it doesn't share the armor details with the original sandtroopers from ANH doesn't come in play to me, because those original sandtroopers were very early armors thrown together to start shooting asap. They don't share all the same details with the ANH stormtroopers only because those parts weren't ready at the time the sandtroopers armors were made. The propmakers from R1 clearly didn't have this problem. The basic R1 stormtooper armor was all ready and they logically started from it to create the sandtrooper variant. Actually in my opinion, everything with a heavy backpack should go over the MEPD. HWT included.
  15. Repelling like the screen-used ones... Job well done I guess.
  16. I know it's just dry fitted together but careful, as it is now, the silver part of the scope mount (the part where the two scope knobs are) is facing the wrong way around.
  17. Clearly the best armor money can buy in my opinion. We don't see enough of these builds so keep the progress coming!
  18. It's nice you took the time to post that Paul. I never read that info before and clearly learnt something new. Issac, normally for the chipping effect you plan than ahead of the painting by applying liquid masking (or toothpaste, etc...) where you want the paint to flake off. However HDPE being very difficult to adhere to, I guess just handling the helmet might be enough to chip the paint.
  19. I love the possibility to have the block on top of the scope too. I guess it's a feature a little bit too "unknown" for the mob unfortunately.
  20. You can also check out the RPF for MIMIC's First Order armor kit. He's still finishing his masters and molds and haven't ship anythng yet, but his Yoke is going to be constructed accurately.
  21. Luke's armor also had the notch at the top of the left thigh trimmed. But if I recall correctly the WTF armor doesn't have that notch anyway, so I guess that's that.
