  1. I choose the more accurate. Which between Anovos and MTK is the ANOVOS armor.
  2. By the way Paul, I'm often wondering if you consider doing another run of your Stunt helmet in polypropylene in the future? Any chance this would happen?
  3. This reference picture is pretty explicite about the white being Gloss. As for the black, my personal belief and tests make me lean toward satin black. To show you, here's what the black on my blaster looks like:
  4. Better head toward the TDH indeed. There's much more informations about this costume over there than here. Good luck with your build!
  5. You can forget that second point. The shoulder straps for ESB stromtroopers work the same as ANH.
  6. I haven't had the chance to take a look at your applications but I'm sure it's well deserved. Congratulations, and welcome to the ranks!
  7. It looks very much like it on the reference picture I posted above.
  8. Yeah, I read about that before but never took the time to understand how this process works, which I did this morning. So with my new knowledge of how screen-printing works (I'm so smart!), I'd say that the screen templates used to make these decals feel very handmade to me.
  9. Ears too were hand painted. By the way, here's some awesome decals close-ups from an ESB helmet. It's funny because they have always looked "hand-painted" decals to me.
  10. It's a bit outdated now but thanks for pinning it! About the sling though, this F-11D being a HEAVY one I'm lacking one part (the silver swivel) at the back of the end cap to mount it. Also, the blaster's size isn't correct as the one in the movie is a STANDARD sized F-11D. And lastly I'm not very keen about being allowed by the CRL to have a sling to your F-11D, so I'm not going to put too much efforts making it happen . I'm sure someone else will be up to do it though.
  11. Sorry but I didn't do the printjob in fact, so I can't tell you what infill was used.
  12. You're incorrect. The guard standing in front of the Falcon is a Stunt stormtrooper while the CRLs allow the grappling hook only for Hero.
  13. Surprisingly I don't really agree with that. Apart from the deathtroopers, there's not a single imperial blaster I can think of with a sling to it. For me it's due to the simple reason that when a stormtrooper (or else) would stand at attention the sling would visually hang in a bad way for a film. Another example think about the 10 stormtroopers on stage during Celebration VII and what it would have looked if two or three of them had had a sling attached to their blaster. In my opinion it would have looked wrong. I think the sling should be reserved for replicas, or Rey costumes only, but not made an option for a FO stormtrooper.
  14. With the tactical stock, absolutely no sling. First because it's never seen in the film, and second because the sling is attached to the back of the end cap which wouldn't be possible with the tactical stock on. But yeah, technically you see at one point of the film a stormtrooper with a standard F-11D that has a sling. But one could probably argue that it's the same debat than "Mr No Stripes".
  15. Spectacular work Tennant! Well done, the finished blaster looks brilliant.
  16. It's been my privilege to land you few advices, even though, let's be honest, you did all the work yourself. You asked many questions, but figured out your own answers most of the time. Congratulations on your approval, and Godspeed!
  17. You finished at the edge of the famous 20th page... Are you sure you don't have one or two last things to post before?
  18. Yes, it will. I didn't alter the hinge between the two versions. The inserts with the v18 forward grip should get you a fit like that by the way: Instead of reprinting the whole forward grip, I think you could get away with it by just adding 2 parts epoxy putty where there's gaps, and repaint the forward grip.
  19. Well done reshaping the top of the thigh and recreating the notch! It's funny because when I looked at the first picture of your thigh armor I thought something was a bit off (especially around the top section of the inner curve), but when I see how much you've removed from the top you did a great job to preserve the original lines. I actually didn't expect you took off that much!
  20. Good tip about the textured tape, because twisting the flashlight on & off with gloves on will probably be quite a challenge! By the way about those textured inserts you're waiting for the forward grip, I just wanted to let you know that I modeled them for the v20 of my files when by the look of your pictures, the blaster you're building is based on the v18 of my files. When I modeled the textured inserts I also modified very slightly the forward grip, so you might not get an absolutely perfect fit with those.
  21. OCD!! One word of advice Christine, don't pay too much attention to the butt plates on the original armors because you would freak out! I mean just with those two troopers: they tried to keep one butt plate from flaring too much with duct tape, and seem to have just given up on the other: Also, just for information, the RS suit has a flaring butt plate compared to the kidney plate. It's one of its kinks. So it probably didn't help you out: Anyway, it was fun to read about all your butt issues and it seems like you dealt with them like a champ!
  22. Most, if not all, the screws needed (bolt size, length, and head type) are also referenced inside my "Directions" .pdf that is include with the 3D files. They are detailed during the "build tutorial" section. Also, not all the bolts must be TORX at all! This is in fact a mistake that has be done during the initial days of research and that I've been spreading like a dumba**. All the black bolts you see on the blaster are supposed to be Allen (socket) bolts. Only the silver ones are TORX.
  23. Use elastics for accuracy. I know a lot of people with elastic garter and they do just fine during troops. So I'd say keep your garter the way you have it right now. Might even make it easier to sit down in armor.
