  1. Small hobby airbrush is really good for making blast burns, you can feather out the marks and also make fine lines for cracks
  2. Doopy's seems to be one of the easiest to build but you can also do a pipe scratch build with the addition of some doopy pieces or even sterling replica pieces. If you are only aiming for EIB than a hasbro mod would be fine, I want to go for Centurion so my hasbro is not good enough so my new project is a pipe build with doopy pieces. You can also spend some time gettting ready for your brown box to arrive by sourcing things that you will need for you build. I have most of my snaps ready, just made a thermal detenator, also made, belt, holster, neck seal, there is quite a lot to do. I was lucky enough to purchase my helmet seperately to give me something to start on, may be worth a try asking your armor maker if you can do the same.
  3. Looking good there Charles, have to remember a few of your issues when I finaly get to work on my armor
  4. Looking good there Craig
  5. No it's just what they had in the movies, I find it fits better if cut as a leaf but you can have anything you want
  6. I just used normal yellow foam, can get it in different thicknesses and cut into a leaf shape, there is a template in the forums. I just got a sheet of it 1/2" thick, I am using 3 pieces in my lid, two round pieces and the leaf, I keep them in with velcro so I can take them out and to wash
  7. Hi and welcome, I just went through the same thing, was told best advice was to read, read, read before you buy and then read some more lol
  8. Very nice, keep up the good work
  9. That's really weird like you said, think they would have taken the whole box, sounds like someone has damaged it and tried to cover up. Hope you manage to get spares, maybe doopy's will help you out
  10. Congrats and happy trooping
  11. Great looking helmet, good work there
  12. Nice work looks really good, well done

  14. Nice job there, well done
  15. Good work, well done
  16. I started at 17 weeks wait and from last email I would be about 6 weeks away, you can do what I did and ask if you can have a helmet first they sometimes have stock of these. Gives you something to start on, then theres always blaster, belt, neck seal, thermal detinator and so on
  17. Going really well, can't wait to see the finished product
  18. Looking good keep up the good work
  19. Can't wait, would have been awesome to be there in person
  20. If all else fails and you have to go with another maker you can always paint
  21. Have read that some paint all of their armor just to solve this problem, a lot of work and cross fingers there are not runs of flying bugs hanging around while painting
  22. Nice intstructions for the handle, may one day have to take all the best of the builds and try make one page
