  1. Nice photo's, think I may have to look at upgrading my electronics Great work Manuel (oh put some black on that sd card lol)
  2. Side pieces glued on, just some final detailing and sanding to go So bit of filling, sanding and now some stain
  3. Using the electronics from a $6.00 toy gun. Assembled on the front which is hidden in the pipe, added another speaker and a red hi-bright led Fitting a small micro swith, spring and trigger Found a small push battery light, using the front cover as it will give a nice look inside the pipe instead of just seeing the one led. Even with only one led the beam of light is quite intense.
  4. Looking good
  5. Yes the lines you have drawn look good to trim, just take your time, trim, check, trim, check. Found at first I was cautious too but by the end you think what was all the fuss about lol. Good luck with the build
  6. Thanks Phil Just did a bit of rounding on the butt, drilled the chanels for the oil brush and holder
  7. You are too kind Charles Here is where I am up to at this stage. Next step will be trying to round and taper the wood
  8. Now for a little bit of bondo
  9. Very nice build and a good eye for detail, good luck from down under
  10. Looking nice trooper
  11. Like I said in my how to thread http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/20893-how-to-recess-press-studs/ use a heat gun and form your snap plate to any shape, works well for me, good luck what you decide
  12. Ok thanks. Just on another point I know that some try to update info and pics but it can be misleading if some of these old post are now incorrect, would it be wise to discard some of them or is it just up to the individual to search read, search read, find something different, scratch head cry panic then search and read again LOL
  13. sorry forgot to add the link for the Brad Discussion http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/14590-visible-snap/
  14. I can't believe it I have just made a similar punch LOL, great minds, well done
  15. Can I just add that I found this thread discussing that the use of brads was ok. I will be using split rivets anyway but just wondering what has changed since that thread, I wouldn't think brads would be very strong but apart from that if they were the right size there shouldn't be any problem.
  16. Thanks for clarifying Mathias I just wanted to know so I dont start my build and make mistakes that I thought were right. There would no doubt be more first timers wanting this info too.
  17. Nice work there guys
  18. I noticed the links for the proposed amendments to the Centurion requirements in this months mag, the only problem is as I am not approved I can not access the links. I would like to know as many others would, what is proposed to be changed. After reasearching solidly for the last 3 months I pretty much have organised everything I will need for Centurion requirements and now are a bit worried I will have to change some things. Would it not have been better to make a new level to aim for with extra changes rather than changing Centurion requirements, will everyone who is Centurion approved now have to make these changes or are the changes just minor ones?
  19. I used black silastic, thought it would be good to use something the same colour as the gloves and is still quite strong but flexible, have had them on a few times and it doesn't look like they are going to come apart . Might just add that I scuffed the gloves and guards with some 80 grit sandpaper to give the silastic something extra to grip too.
  20. A few details pieces done Using some reticulation dripper pipe for the barrel detailing, easy to bend when heated, then tape it to the barrel to hold it's shape until it cools, gives me time to do the blue wire twist .
  21. So I'm not the only one that can't stop building LOL
  22. OMG that sucks big time, bet there was a few words thrown around loudly. Hope there is not too much damage, if you need too you could use some 1200 grit wet and dry paper with soapy water to help take some of the uneveness out then go over with the polish. Good luck hope you have a win
  23. Few more bits done, top section all sanded and glued Cut and modified some pipe to make the outer rings, had to enlarge one and reduce another, also found a couple of O rings for some of the finer detailing Used pieces from two coupling to make the front section and taper All the pieces on the pipe, think I will paint them all seperately and assemble later with a dab of silicon to hold them in case I want to change any pieces later.
