  1. I have already made a new belt with grappling hook, box and comlink, I also have another holster for this belt, just gives me the option to swap my armor from Stun to Hero when ever I want. But I must admit after looking at this Hero lid I may be trooping more as a Hero Build is here
  2. Looking good, hopefully approval won't take too long
  3. It really depends on how they fit your thighs, if they are not too snug you could take a little more off so your cover strips meet the ridges, if they fit fine then leave them as they are
  4. I have heard they have a long wait and the product is not all that good, I would say go Doopys, I have built a Hasbro add on and a pipe build add on, both were great. Going to be building another for a squad member soon
  5. I glued the elastic on one side to a strip of abs then riveted that to the armor for one side (so if it stretches i can just replace the elastic and abs strip) and on the other side I use riveted snaps so I can open like a clam shell
  6. Personally I would try to go a little squarer in the corners of the teeth, but they are still fine they way there are
  7. 1/8 inch gap from clips to cap is perfect if you want to go that far
  8. OK who didn't read the DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY
  9. Looking good, just wondering what color you used for you're tube stripes as they look pretty dark?
  10. On to some painting
  11. Ears fitted
  12. Very nice keep up the good work
  13. Wow nice work
  14. I use a cheaper brand name dremel from my local hardware shop, I don't know how I ever lived without it, the things you can do with it are endless, lots of different bits/tips available for it, highly recommend for an armor builder
  15. Double snaps in all the structural places is a good idea, I did this one mine, just in case on snap fails you still have your back up snap, I had an bell snap fail once but was lucky the back up still held
  16. I know the trooper, his helmet is HUGE, not an issue with padding or tilting, whether he just has a short neck for his sizing I don't know, but his problem is he has very little movement of the head, even the slightest sideways movement his helmet hits, when I can move my head quite freely. He can not tilt the lid down as this will increase the problem, padding is not an issue either. So anyway back to his original enquiry, can anyone suggest a slightly smaller fitting helmet than his AM? He has tried my ATA but as I though it was too small, I have suggested he try a few other squad members lids, but I thought some of you would know sizing of other helmets
  17. Awesome work, congrats on approval
  18. I love the use of plastic bags, I usually use newspaper, every time I get a plastic bag it has a hole in it
  19. No that is fine, some troopers take out that section to make it easier to move around and walk up and down stairs, if you are lucky like me and a bit taller you don't need to remove this section. Don't panic all is fine
  20. Also don't make your cover strips hang over the edges as they will catch on things
  21. Thanks for the kind words Chris, I think that's why my squad gave me the nickname Q (quartermaster) oh ok it may be because of all my blaster builds too lol. Seriously as I couldn't make an abs paste I came up with the heat and push method, I did practice on some scrap abs first, using a heat iron or heat gun can be a great help but you have to be careful as there is a fine line between manipulate and melt
  22. Awesome that's the FISD spirit, troopers helping troopers or in this case, troopers singing to troopers BTW Happy Birthday
