  1. Finished quite a while ago. Added some foam, fans and wore it for fun at one of our conventions
  2. Can it be fixed, really depends on your experience, if it's plastic you could I would (but be careful, if not experienced test on other plastic first) heat the area from the inside and use a rubber block either side and push it together, this may straighten it. If you aren't that experienced with heating plastic, I would sand the area, fill with bondo (auto filler), sand, primer and paint the whole front piece.
  3. First cut is always the hardest, looking forward to the progress, good luck
  4. Looking forward to the progress, remember research is the key, measure twice and cut once, good luck

  6. A couple of good How Too's for ears, good luck http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29238-my-helmet-ear-tutorial/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27375-howto-draw-an-approximate-ear-trim-line-with-no-gaps/
  7. You could try to contact the maker of the armor, they may be able to help with extra cover strip material. There are businesses who supply ABS pieces but there can be variances in color from one manufacturer to another.
  8. You can just make out the ridge left around the eyes, I would file out a little more in the corners
  9. I used pliers to cut off the excess then applied some silicon over the tops to cover the sharp ends.
  10. Here's mine for comparison http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/20585-tk-anh-ata-stunt-helmet-build/
  11. I sand behind, also sand a scrap of ABS and use E6000 glue to told the pieces together, works well.
  12. Event: Charlie's 5th Location: Nedlands Rugby Club, Sunday May 29 at 12.30pm Troopers, TB13310..Liz, TK85421..Q, SL51164..Stuart Wranglers..The lovely Em Report: All arrived on time,a little early actually so we took a moment for a coffee break. Party hosts Steven(Kylo Ren) and Helen(Princess Leia) were very inviting and welcomed all of us. We were asked to walk into the club via a set entry to give parents time to get their kids together. As soon as we made our way inside we were mobbed by young and old who were in search of a photo, handshake, high five or from some we just got an inquisitive stare.During this time the band played Star Wars themed music, this was not a quickly thrown together party we could see the effort to create a Star Wars theme. We them moved outside where Kylo Ren had organised a light saber practice exercise and we were asked to choose a couple of future/potential Jedi for a Star Wars prize. More photos were taken and before we knew it our time to say goodbye had come.We were invited to return after changing to join in Charlie's 5th year festivities. Out of sight from the party we took our buckets off pics and enjoyed the view. A really great short troop. Youngling photos to follow Report by SL51164
  13. I started on my helmet first, if you can trim ears you can do anything
  14. Fabric and rubber available here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31019-imperial-gaskets-more-upgrades/
  15. It's an Australian brand paint. Acrylic auto primer/spray putty, paint and clear coat. Can be sanded and buffed for better shine. Not sure how you would go with sanding Rustoleum as I've never tried
  16. Most use Rustoleum, I've had massive problems with that paint so I used automotive acrylic paint in spray cans, worked well for me and can be buffed.
  17. Just wanted to share a few photos from the weekend, it was our first opportunity to get 3 of the 4 approved FOTK's in Australia together at the last ever Dream World Star Wars weekend, we were also joined by a very moody person in black . I must say I thought trooping as a FOTK was great in the past but when you get together with your brother FO's it's just an amazing experience. A great event which I have had the pleasure of attending on two occasions, a shame the mouse has decided not to allow this event to continue.
