  1. Could take a little while longer, there is still a backlog from the festive season break
  2. I actually cut a notch in the centre of my sniper plate the width of the coverstrip, helps to keep central while the glue is drying also allows it to go backwards further so looks better on sides. I also applied some heat to both sides as I hated the slanted look, don't panic about using heat on these as they are quite thick. I just applied the heat on the two front corners and applied a little pressure.
  3. I use snaps on my FOTK braces, great minds
  4. All the bells and whistles. Just call me "deleted trooper"
  5. Here is the hallway trooper with JJ, better shot of the pouch, but as I say it was deemed not reference material as it was from a deleted scene. White pauldron with vest White pauldron, vest and shoulder pouch Black pauldron and vest From memory it was changed on the CRL for the basic requirement but perhaps L3 was missed.
  6. I brought this up a while ago, as it was a deleted scene and not in the movie it doesn’t count as a reference. This trooper also wears a shoulder pouch, can see more clearly in side photo speaking with JJ The CRL was going to be updated as I did supply other references of troopers with vests and pauldrons
  7. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper
  8. Nice work, probably wouldn't hurt to just pop a little scrap abs behind those other smaller gaps so they don't stand out as much. Good luck with approval
  9. I'm a rightie most of the time, depends which version I'm wearing
  10. Very nice trim lines, no gaps looks great.
  11. Man that is a downer, not seen this issue before. So fixes, as you say you could try to add pieces of ABS behind those sections, glue then fill the outer cracks with ABS paste. It will be a lot of work, trying to sand flush and polish back to a nice finish. I doubt it will be 100% perfect, normally you can still see a little difference with the ABS paste BUT it's worth a try. I find that ABS paste is great for small areas but does not seem as strong over larger sections. If all else fails you still have the option of replacement pieces. Wishing you good luck with this, hope you have some success.
  12. Heat guns are something that you practice a lot with before using it on armor, the plastic tends to go from just pliable to melted in the blink of an eye. Great work, coming along nicely
  13. Good luck with the build, nothing better than getting some new BBB's.
  14. Much better, good luck with approval.
  15. Coming along nicely, great work on the details
  16. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks

  19. Nice work, just one thing do your shins close from the outside over the inside, looks like they are closing inwards over outside, you can see a gap on the side photos, you may need to swap these around. Could also move your drop boxes further towards the end of the belt
  20. It's a weird thing, I've not seen that issue and I've assembled a few different makes of armor, RS, AP, AM and ATA, never had any reaction and in places I've gone overboard with the E6000. I have also used magnets, clamps and tape to hold the plates in place still without any distortion. Still wondering if there is a reaction with the coating on the snaps, we use Birch snaps here down under and don't have access to the Tandy snaps.
  21. Congratulations trooper, once you get those numbers make sure you request a status upgrade to access previously unexplored areas
  22. Looking sharp, good luck with approval
