  1. The information was also included in Septembers newsletter and will be again in Octobers issue, if anyone bothers to read it
  2. Looks like a lot of people don't read the newsletter, there was a section explaining Detachment Affiliation in Septembers issue
  3. Nice work should be an easy pass, try tightening your belt a little, it should sit higher at the back, also you doo have some excess belt material which goes past the TD you may want to remove Good luck
  4. Best I have for the moment ROTJ Game
  5. Thank you Paul Just one thing, could the images of the correct TD's be added please, currently it is a ANH style. Just wanted to thank everyone for their contributions and feedback, it has been a great help
  6. Personally I cut off the return edge from the kidney, then glue a piece of ABS behind, usually about 3 to 4 inches in width, I/1 is glued to the kidney plate, then glue a spacer shim to the other 1/2 of the plate attached to the kidney. I like to use JB weld to glue them as it does take a while to dry so you can move around and it is a lot stronger than E6000. Once dry you can remove any glue down the join line, mix up some ABS paste and fill the gap, once dry you can use several different grades of sandpaper to remove any excess then use a cutting compound polish to bring back the shin. Here's a couple of threads that should help: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/37319-how-to-anovos-kidney-plate-shims/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32266-side-shims-and-rivets/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30226-side-shims-on-abkidney-help/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29077-adding-the-kidney-shim-not-bad-but/ ABS paste how too: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42866-how-to-make-abs-paste/
  7. No that's why I posted his email
  8. Nice work trooper, its looks like you may have riveted your knee ammo strip too high on the inner side of your thigh, it should be riveted to the lower ridge not above as shown in the image below: It it also looks like your ab buttons are too dark, should be #14 french blue and #5 dark admiralty grey
  9. Some CRL’s have general requirements on references which were available at the time they were just created, if you can provide screen references of how you believe they are constructed changes may be made. Currrently the TKC CRL is being reviewed and there are instances were both styles of construction is shown so there may be an option for both for that costume. Again having screen references is what the CRL’s are based on and when new references are available they can be changed
  10. E6000 will normally come off just by rubbing with a finger, thumb and cloth works, you can also use a rubber, to get into corners you can use a toothpick or scrap pieces of ABS.
  11. Very nice work, well done
  12. Try add the links as "direct link" the standard link to photos doesnt seem to work
  13. Looking forward to the progress, good luck
  14. Perhaps time to call it, remove and start again
  15. Nice work on the updates trooper, best of luck
  16. Nice work, does look as if your thigs are a little large at the knees. If you havent already i would reach out to your GML (garrison membership liaison) and speak to him/her about your costume, you may find not a lot is needed for approval. Good luck
  17. Perhaps ab / chest needs to come up, it’s not quite match with your kidney, or bring your kidney down (once its on correctly ), what ever works
  18. Just a tip to prevent bleed through, paint with white first, if there any areas that may bleed then these will be filled with white. Once dry you can then go over with blue. Nice to see you updating, shame more don’t
  19. Nice work trooper, just watch how some things are sitting after you have moved, the top photo shows your drop boxes on an angle and not sitting straight. You could just extend the corners of your teeth a little bit more, at the moment it looks a little Heroish May not get picked on but your tube stripes at the front angle away from the cheeks, should really have a pencils width gap consistently along the side. Good luck.
  20. Looking forward to the progress. I haven't had my hands on one of the toy versions so I'm not sure how they sound and look but I can tell you that the public does like to hear and see all the bells and whistles. We also add a jack amp to our batons and blasters, takes the sound from the internal speaker and transfers it to your aker, it's just a case of running a cable down your arm
  21. Coming along nicely
  22. Nice start, looking forward to the progress
  23. Mineral spirits have worked for me on some excess paint, great for Humbrol paint and also works on some glue like JB weld.
