  1. I prefer the overlap look, I used enough overlap for a piece of Velcro to run along. Coming along nicely
  2. Why you shouldn't run in armor, even the professionals occasionally take a fall Thank you @kimg737 and Mike Farnham FB group Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge for the re-post
  3. In some cases using tape to keep overlaps closed
  4. I edited your post and used the share links, appears to work for me, perhaps as I'm using computer!
  5. My last case was a 78cm and fits everything in except the helmet which is a carry on. I did go for a hard case too for some extra strength, even then I ended up with a small crack in the back plate, but took some spares so added a little glue and ABS paste behind the crack. Baggage handlers do not have the softest of touches
  6. Hello and welcome aboard
  7. Great news on approval, if you have been issued your 501st numbers you can request higher access here just post a link to your legion profile
  8. Nice work, coming along great
  9. Are you embedding the link or just copy and pasting in the "share" link, I find there are no issues using the "share" link
  10. Looks good
  11. Very nice, just getting rid of print lines are time consuming, watching with popcorn, good luck
  12. A lot of armor suppliers do sell spares so it may be an option, just watch purchasing from different suppliers as color can be different. I trooped 6 years with a shoulder strap issue then got a crack in one, I added a strengthening strip of ABS plate behind which has given more strength, could be an option.
  13. Rubber shoulder straps are use on the R1 (rogue one) TK's. I doubt approvable for ANH stunt or hero
  14. Very exciting, looking forward to the progress and pics
  15. The Art of Star Wars - TROS
  16. Very nice, looking forward to the progress
  17. Welcome aboard, looking forward to the build progress good luck
  18. Hello and welcome aboard
  19. Nice work, you could drop the biceps a little to reduce the space around the elbow area
  20. Hello and welcome, really depends on how much you will grow, costumes are made to your size and some can be adjusted but it is some work. There is a group for under 18's and it's called the Galactic Academy, http://www.galactic-academy.net/. Now although they don't organise events some garrison's, squads, outposts allow GA members to attend some of their events (normally if an adult is present) but you would have to check with your local garrison, you can unit listing info here http://www.501st.com/members/displayUnits.php#garrisons No issues with you being on this or other communities. Good luck
  21. You want the Dave M decals from Trooperbay they look hand painted Or use standard decals and draw over with a permanent marker, a little trick I came up with
  22. I'd suggest having a look in the sales sections, there have been some up on there for reasonable prices
  23. Hello and welcome aboard, you will find a lot of kits can be downsized, lots of builds as a guide in the builds sections, here's just one Getting Started section should be able to help you too
