  1. Could very well be that people will need to open their own lawsuit against Anovos or perhaps start a class action. I see Anovos are trying to get rid of some in stock items with 45% discount so I would say they are trying to get some dollars together hopefully to pay suppliers outstanding bills, only time will tell.
  2. I find matt is too chalky and grey so I use satin on most areas Brow is SATIN Nose/mesh/teeth and traps GLOSS Other lower areas SATIN Here are some nice photos from the Propstore of a screen used helmet (notice the last image on the lower line it is just peeling in the corner so must be a sticker) Also notice the gap at the end of the greebles, unlike TFA
  3. Head over to IOC https://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/ they are the home for mechanical crewmen and will be able to help you out.
  4. Generally higher brow is Stunt and lower brow Hero, although on occasion you do see the odd helmet which doesn't follow that rule Have a read here, great thread on brow heights (also some great references )
  5. Awesome, love it
  6. I will just add from time to time you may see [APPROVED] on some EIB applications this is due to it being an additional EIB award which are not issued numbers, (you only get one EIB number awarded) normally you would see [APPROVED] with a 2nd or 3rd or 4th or so on in the title depending on the amount of additional awards the member has.
  7. Great news, looking forward to seeing some photos soon
  8. I believe the CRL will be getting an update soon, that being said more reference material has become available since that CRL was made, the model may have added the snap and elastic as that's what OTTK's have and would be functional to keep the cod and butt together BUT we see plenty of images from R1 and the Mandalorian with the cod flapping in the breeze, ideally the CRL model and some images should be updated.
  9. You know after all this research I may have to build one of these version myself
  10. I would try on your cod, thighs and such before a final trim of the ab section, you may need to adjust if you have too much gap around your thighs, but entirely up to you if you think you are covered
  11. Rogue One use FOTK boots, from the CRL
  12. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the EI ranks
  13. I personally prefer elastic, it has some give and does allow more movement, webbing is very rigid and you find it's the armor that will move when you bend and over extend so it may cause cracking or may need adjusting when you stand up straight again. BUT in saying that I see a lot of people that also use webbing and velcro and they seem happy enough. With the shoulder elastic make sure you double it over as you will need it too be tighter there
  14. When doing some research in the past I found quite a few listed at military surplus stores online, may be worth a look there.
  15. Hello and welcome aboard, research is the key, good luck and hope to see a build thread from you soon
  16. Hello and welcome aboard, looking forward to seeing a build thread from you soon, good luck
  17. You do have a large amount of black showing between the thighs and cod, although some is showing under the belt, ultimately it will be the decision of your GML (garrison membership liaison) who will be looking after your approval, I have seen others approved with low thighs but if you compare to some screen references they have little to no black showing.
  18. Any cracks I like to add support/glue from behind then on the front grind into the crack a little and fill will bondo/filler so it won't show in the paint. For the pin holes hopefully spray putty will sort a few of those, if not some final glaze/blade putty should help, a lot of fine sanding. You may even find with the black areas they won't show as much. Some differences between the clip area from TFA to TLJ Here's a nice reference for the teeth area
  19. Looking forward to seeing the progress, good luck
  20. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the EI ranks
  21. It's a bit hard to tell without other pieces of the armor on, thighs do come up quite a way, here is a comparison ------------- You may very well have to go wider on the thighs to allow them to come upwards, trimming 7cm off you have lost a lot of material. I would suggest trying with the ab/cod section on and see how much gap you have between that and the thighs.
  22. Hello and welcome aboard, a great way to get feedback on how your build is going to post your progress in the build areas, good luck
  23. Coming along great, nice work
