  1. Great to see what can be done with foam
  2. When I added my coverstrips I glued them on an angle, this helps to give a straighter look at the base of the shins, otherwise they appear twisted. Using velcro all the way will give a better look, yes there will be a small gap with velcro but with using a full piece you won't see the gaps. It's why we overlap outside over inside so the public don't see. Looks like you may have trimmed a little too much of the top sides of your sniper plate You want to try and pull the sniper plate up so it covers the ridge behind (as much as possible), clamps, magnets and tape can help. A couple of RS comparisons

  4. So sorry to hear you contracted Covid-19 but happy to hear you have come through it ok. I know it's hard leaving projects halfway through, I had a fall before Christmas and injured my shoulder and elbow and I'm biting at the bit to be able to do some building. Looking forward to seeing the updates, hopefully you'll be able to get back to it in the not too distant future.
  5. Congratulations and welcome to the centurion ranks trooper
  6. Taking Action Photos - Using the Right Background It makes our job a lot easier editing your images into frames if you use a contrasting blank background when taking your action photos for your EI applications. Contrasting is not using a white/light or black/dark background while wearing black and white, it just doesn't work. Also taking photos outdoors, in sunlight, in the garden or in front of brick walls really makes our job harder. A simple solution is using a colored sheet or a tarpaulin. Here are a few examples of backgrounds which make our job difficult Here are a few examples of backgrounds which make our job much eaiser If possible please try to use a contrasting background when taking your photos, your GML's and GWL's with also thank you for it

  8. That is a question for your GML (garrison membership liaison) some will allow large cover strips some will not so I would definitely contact him/her and discuss. I have seen some approved If they do not allow you would have to add some plastic to the sides, with ATA having the raised ridges it is a little more difficult, you would need to cut next to the raised area, then add a triangle of plastic, fill joins with ABS paste, sand and polish (paint if needed) An example: Example thread here Other makes don't have the raised areas like ATA so they are easier to add shims to
  9. Just a few things: You have quite a large gap under the brow trim, to get rid of this you would need to bring the front plate further forward, (remove ears, slot screw holes and move forward) The tube stripes ideally should be falling from top on the front You will also need to remove some paint from the gum area around the teeth Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area
  10. Nice work, looks great
