  1. My build thread (below my signature) shows the process of heat bending the pack with popsicle sticks and how I attached it with the correct rivets. Don't forget, for accuracy It should be cap rivets. Let me know if you need any other help Dom!
  2. You're my hero Arturo!! The RS is even more amazing in person!! AND now I see those were the boots you wore to the Formal! Breakin' em in on the dance floor! Uh-oh! What's this!? Denny Terrio look out! Bada** boots!
  3. The Stanley bins are the best! Everything, including boots, bucket, supplies, etc. fits perfectly with a little room to spare! -------------- AND you can get a sweet custom nametag for it on the Legion boards! ----------------
  4. Terrell, you are absolutely the best and do our Legion proud! It's an honor to own one of your masterworks! Thank you for your contribution to our passion! I salute you!
  5. Get on it Paul! You gotta make an excuse for a "business trip" to Chi-Town! Get in on some of this fun! The MWG is waiting!
  6. It doesn't matter! It's just a pile of big white plastic awesomeness!!!!!...........Oh yeah, did I mention it was the BEST. TROOP. EVER!!!!! Hellz Yeah!
  7. BEST. TROOP. EVER!!!!!! I had more fun on that gig last night than I've had in a long time! Can't wait to see the rest of the pics! It was like one endless awesome photo op! I missed you Gaz! Looking forward to seeing my Garrison mates at the Annual Formal tomorrow! Geek Prom!!!
  8. Stay away from the superglues. Not forgiving and impossible to remove if needed. I have already within just a few months of building my armor have had several small instances where something needed to be moved, adjusted or changed and none of this would have been possible had I used superglue. Stay with the E6000. Super strong when cured and easy to remove cleanly when needed. On another note. I have seen plenty of folks glue the elastic directly on the plastic but after having a few straps overstretch and pretty much lose some of their elasticity, I have to say that with snap plates and snaps on the elastic, replacing the worn straps is a breeze and doesn't risk damaging the armor. Just my 2 cents.
  9. The Trooper who boards the Falcon to lend a hand is the "Hero" suit that Luke wears. That one has a grappling hook on the belt so it doesn't use the TD. Just thought I'd chime in there!
  10. Wonderful job guys! I'm honored to have my troop picked for the TOTM! As usual, this newsletter is chock full o' awesomeness!!! Congrats also go to Frank for Trooper of the Month!!!
  11. Ha! Mathias! You beat me to it!
  12. Looks like a fiberglass recast of an AP helmet or something. Since it's in the UK it's possible an RS or TM although I don't remember the bump being so prominent in those two makers. Overall, why would anyone want a fiberglass bucket? It's gotta weigh a ton and be really hot! Also it's way overpriced. Ebay=stay away!
  13. I do seem to remember, although I can't find it now, that the original post on the Legion boards said that participating members were given a one-day park hopper pass to any of the Magic Kingdom parks for their families. I wish I could find the post to quote it but not a bad trade off if you ask me.
  14. Someone's gotta post a link to that thread here, I can't find it in search. I'd love to read that one!
  15. What do you guys think about doing this after the lid has been completed? I just painted mine black inside because I ended up in a rush to finish before ComicCon here in July. I want to re-do the helmet and remove the heinous hard hat liner I have in there and replace it with some great padding I found on the Legion boards. But before I put it in I was thinking of re-spraying it with plasti-dip. I LOVE the way the inside looks with the plasti-dip spray, it just looks like what I'd imagine a "real" lid might look! The padding I bought will really add to that effect Do you think it would be more difficult to achieve now? I'm just paranoid that I'll ruin the lid. Would I have to remove the black paint inside so the Plasti-Dip spray will grip or do you guys think just a light sandpaper job on it would be sufficient? Sorry to hijack the thread but it seemed relevant here.
  16. Disney makes it's own armor for it's cast members that work at the parks.
  17. Wait. Was that all FL. 501st members or was that a mix of the Disney ones and 501st? I'm confused. I thought it was all garrison members. Impressive nonetheless! Great job!
  18. I can't remember what it was but I do know it's detailed in the instructions, if you still have them. I'm not home, but can look them up later for you if needed.
