  1. They look good to me but let's see what others chime in with. They look pretty close to TK boots.
  2. Can it be rubbed off!? That was a recurring nightmare of mine when I was doing my build!
  3. Thank you for chiming in Mathias! In 100% agreement! Point well made!
  4. The generally accepted way is to have it end at the ridge though, regardless of the inconsistencies in ANH. I mean if you really wanted to go uber accurate, get out the duct tape in strategic locations and let the calves spread wide and loose when your walking. Overall, I think most of us, barring the ones going for absolute screen accuracy, go for as accurate as we can but still staying practical for the rigors of trooping. The original suits weren't designed to be worn for extended periods, just the immediate shot. We run ours through the paces and need durability along with the accuracy we try to achieve. Make it look nice, as accurate as possible to whatever movie your ideal trooper is and keep it useful and durable. Good luck!
  5. Here's the CRL, it's actually for initial 501st approval but will carry over to the upper levels as well: Forearms For 501st approval: Forearms are fully closed.
  6. If your hoping for EIB or Centurion, just slowly back away from that option......CRL says they must be closed. Good luck trooper!
  7. Yes it does, but I have read about some guys with monster arms that needed to clamshell them to put them on. It's not pretty and wouldn't be allowed for EIB or Centurion but I suppose it's a solution if your a big trooper.
  8. The originals had a gap there, so if you're going for accuracy, leave it.
  9. I had a gap at the bottom too so I glued a small square of abs behind the gap to fill it in a bit, it also helped to support the area. Another option is to make your own ABS paste (tutorial somewhere on here) and fill the gap that way.
  10. Here's an example of what it should look like: ----------- Sorry for the blur, but it'll give you a clear idea
  11. Easy fix! You can find em here in the for sale section! Good Luck on you upgrades!
  12. Don't forget to replace the plastic belt for a canvas one.
  13. We need more pics of this one! Super hot car!
  14. Another amazing job guys! I'm very proud to be a part of the FISD! Congrats to our Bolivian TOTM!
  15. We need to get an FISD command team business trip to Chi-Town sometime! The MWG awaits! You can all stay at my place!
  16. They are offered on the Legion boards to members. It's an ongoing run so after you finally join you'll be granted access to that page and can get all the cool swag you want! It seems like most guys go with this one as it was the dominating method for all on the troops I've been on. It holds everything with some room to spare, it's really secure, it has locks, it rolls and has a retractable handle, it has a tray to hold things like your sound system, thermal get, holster, etc. and it fits in the car nicely. You won't regret the investment! Ya gotta get down here for C2E2 in April and do some trooping with us! Finish that armor up!
  17. Here ya go Dom! ------------- No brainer, go with the Stanley!
  18. Get the Staney bin! It's perfect. I love mine! $70 at Home Depot. Ill post a pic later. AND you can get a great custom name tag for it on the Legion boards after you join!
  19. Looks fine from my angle, Mathias may think differently. Just make sure it's tight enough against the rim of your thigh. It shouldn't move that much. I put a small piece of white velcro behind the front just to be sure it doesn't fall.
