  1. I have a wookiee and a TK. After wearing the wookiee (which is just off the chain hot, with 18" stilts - you start sweating from second 1 that you're suited up), the TK is like running around in my underwear in a mild spring breeze.
  2. Can't complain when you troop and they hand you free food coupons to the Taste of Dallas. We ate like kings after that one. First time trying fried Oreos. It was like a funnel cake stuffed with chocolate. Not bad!
  3. Looks like every other one... - that's a clone joke... j/k Nice work!
  4. Heat gun. Do it gently, bit by bit. If he used E6000, it will be no problem. Other glues may be a bit more difficult.
  5. Hey Chad, Welcome aboard man! First off, jump on FaceBook and introduce yourself to the people on the Star Garrison group. This one is open: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Star-Garrison-of-the-501st-Legion/155799257916211?ref=br_tf (There is also a closed group for members) You will find that the SA folks will be more than happy to assist you with questions and answers. Don't feel afraid to ask here and there with anything you want to know. There's some locals that will be able to help you in person. Ask about attending an armor party, I believe there is one coming up soon. RT-MOD or the new NE may be your best bet, from the sounds of it. Take your time, enjoy your build, and as they say, "Measure three times, cut once..." Cheers, Steve
  6. Saving up my AA miles, so I can fly BA! ha ha... Love that partnership... 58,000 and counting...
  7. Come to think of it, the bits where I saw some blackening, where probably in contact with metal. either way, I would not be hesitant to use as much E6000 on your kit as you need to.
  8. I used E-6000 on my entire kit and also used nylon webbing. I have not had any problems with it. Yes, I do believe it melts the plastic a bit, but nothing that has weakened or warped. If anything, it seems to create a stronger bond. If you pull the armor apart to resize later, you will see evidence of some sort of burning. The glued areas will or may be a bit black.
  9. OK... I'll come home for a shoot or two if I have to...
  10. Go to the Savoy for High Tea. or... go on a Thames dinner cruise. Either way, you will love it! Adding links: http://www.savoy-experiences.com/thesavoy/hotels/savoy.htm http://www.bateauxlondon.com/cruises/Thames-dinner-cruises/
  11. I'm just worried that your arms are in them while they spin. Have you attached some elastic at the bottom inside edges to hold them in place around your upper arms?
  12. Looks like perfect trooping weather! great pics!
  13. Use a heat gun - not on max - apply heat carefully and you should be able to get the bits apart without any problems. The glue should be able to be peeled off, as if it it were never there.
  14. The extra snap on your strap should do the trick. I have done that and no one sees it, it the snap is on the bottom of the strap.
  15. You have to be careful. If you do holster your weapon, you are at risk of being compromised like was by this Rebel Lego Scum! ----------
  16. Someone pointed out that Jerry Jones built a "death star" in Texas, but I had to correct them. That one doesn't destroy planets... - Only professional American sports teams.
  17. I think practice makes perfect. - That being said, I've knocked bits off of my E-11 in the process and have had to rely on my good friend E6000 to fix it.
